This is the complete trilogy of the shadow ascending books and it is awesome! From the first book I was hooked as the author drew me into this incredible world with its awesome world.building and hot and exciting storyline. The characters are fantastic and I am so glad I joined them for their journey, and the best thing of all? No waiting for the next book! Yay 😁

What a fantastic fabulous read into a world of secrets, intrigue and of course angels, demons, vampires and all the supernatural storyline and plots a girl could ask for! Shadows Ascending is the complete series by Jenn D. Young and I am totally in love with her writing style and the way she masterfully creates such a magical enticing world and such deep connections with her characters. If you’re a fan of angels, archangels and all things supernatural then you won’t be disappointed with this paranormal romance series!!
This trilogy follows Lorelei, a young girl with mysteries surrounding her past and her powers and takes us on a journey of her life as she endures so much even as a young child. After traumatically losing her mother, her life endures a series of bumps as she’s moved around and hidden away from her protectors (her uncle and her fated mate that has always cared and protected her) in hopes of keeping her hidden from a mysterious and deadly group, called The Syndicate, that mean her harm. While they mean well, it seems that danger seems to follow her closely—especially as the older she gets the more she comes into her powers.
Lorelei experiences so much at an early age and I loved seeing her evolution as a character as she grows from an impressionable young girl to a strong and confident woman coming into her powers. The bond she has with Vincent was beautiful to watch grow and unfold as they finally get a chance to be together and connect—all while trying to protect her from the prophecy that makes her a target from evil. Their immediate chemistry and connections were utterly captivating to watch unfold and I loved their character development over the entire series. I also loved the variety of characters that Young manages to introduce to us in this series and how there is room for so many other stories. I can’t wait to see what comes next!
Overall this series is an incredible arrangement of twists and turns, sudden revelations and bombshells, strong characters and a compelling storyline full of action, mystery, intrigue, danger, drama, heartbreak and of course romance with lots of steam and unbridled lusts. Shadows Ascending is the complete series by Jenn D. Young. This paranormal romance series follows Lorelei as she grows from a child into a young woman. She experiences the loss of her mother, the ever shifting sands of her life, and then the dangers that constantly surround her. She feels like it often, but she’s never alone growing up in foster care. Her uncle sent her away to protect her, but her fated mate Vincent never let her be fully alone regardless of the risks. This series is full of drama, romance, steamy, and danger as a group of vampires looks to use Lorelei to resurrect their fallen lord and bring him back stronger than ever.
Shadows Ascending is a mixed bag of a series for me. The storyline is engaging and I enjoyed reading it and discovering the variety of characters that the author has locked inside. The variety of characters really helps move the storyline along as each brings something unique to the table.
My biggest issue with the story is the two main characters: Lorelei and especially Vincent. Lorelei is meant to be strong, but she comes off flimsy at times to me. She has her strong moments, but it’s usually when it comes to just about anyone but Vincent. Even when the truth comes about concerning certain things involving Vincent Lorelei is quick to dampen her anger. Now, the author uses him to “siphon off” some of her excess energy, but she’s quick to diminish her anger towards him. She says she’s still “angry at him” but there is no heat to her anger. I really had a love/hate relationship towards Vincent. A lot of the danger that Lorelei finds herself in is because of his interacting with her. He knows the risks, but yet he pushes forward anyways. He comes off as selfish for me.
I also don’t like that the author leaves certain things in limbo. Certain characters simply just disappear and readers are expected to just assume that they are dead. Do the other characters even care? Do they investigate the disappearance or simply say “they mus tbe dead?” There are many similar voids in this series and it’s disappointing. Yes, it’s a minor detail, but one that feeds more into the story than Vincent and Lorelei constantly checking each other out and lusting for each other in detail. I will say I appreciate that the author doesn’t develop a relationship between the characters when Lorelei comes of age at 18. I don’t mind age gaps in relationships, but with him being immensely older than her, 18 would have been a hard no for me.
I’m rating this trilogy 4 out of 5 stars. I love paranormal romance novels, and this one has some good elements to it, but the characters were hard to truly enjoy. I don’t like over-exaggerations (Lorelei claiming she’s waited 21 years for answers), and I didn’t like Vincent’s selfish whims. These things, plus missed opportunities really took away from this story and for me, caused it to lose a star.

This was an enjoyable paranormal romance trilogy that had some amazing leading characters and fun and amusing side characters. I loved Lorelei and her love with Vincent was swoonworthy, even if he needed some reality checks more than once haha. I enjoyed how things developed throughout the book, things weren’t rushed, how there was a lot of push and pulls, and even some pretty funny moments. I enjoyed Lorelei’s lack of a filter with certain people 🤣.
We get many different supernaturals and hybrids (this had me kinda lost) and we had a bunch of older side characters, some of legends (also had me confused a bit while listening, I think I would have been fine reading their names and remembering who was who). I liked seeing mating bonds figured out, I felt bad for some who don’t have mates yet, and I enjoyed the found family some of these characters made over the years. The emotion you could feel when some were kidnapped and tortured was palpable. I felt for Lorelei when a big part of her life was revealed and how hurt she was made my heart ache. I wanted to be angry on her behalf but I appreciated how things were handled and I wanted to see more of all of them as a family. I mentioned this on book 3’s individual review, but I would love to read a story about her parents and how things happened. Also, Nick and his mate’s novella would be fun!

Into The Shadows
Angels. Demons. Vampires. These are all supernatural creatures that I thought I was familiar with, yet this book has made them all subtly different, to the point that they’re not the creatures I thought I knew. Lorelei’s story drew me in from the beginning. It’s filled with twists and revelations and so very many secrets. I’m already itching to dive into the next book to find out what happens next.
Out of the Shadows
This was one hot and spicy number. There’s a lot of focus in this book on Lorelei and Vincent and cementing their mate bond, much to the chagrin of everyone else around them. I enjoyed the story however, it does have a few “middle book” issues. We get a great deal of information about what’s going on around them, about The Syndicate, about the past events that have brought them to this place and time, but we don’t get to see them doing much about the big issue yet. This book does an excellent job of setting the stage for what I think is going to happen in the end. And, I for one, can’t wait to see how it all plays out in the final book.

This was a really great way to end the series. We finally learn what it’s all been building up to, and my heart nearly broke for Lorelei and what it meant for everything that she’d been through. Even though they’re facing the greatest threat of their lives, there’s a lightness of spirit and playfulness in this book that is both unexpected and wonderful. I kind of hate that it’s time to say “goodbye” to these characters already.

I enjoyed this book, the world building was explained really well and really pace of the story was good.
Lorelei lost her mum and has spent years in the foster system wondering why her uncle abandoned her. She has spent her life hiding from the unknown, but now things are happening and she doesn't know what she's hiding from. Vincent has been waiting for Lorelei to come into her powers.

Loralei and Vincent are now together, but she is still learning all the powers she has and how to control them. But there are still bigger threats to face.
This book was mostly about their relationship with a tons of alone time, definitely steamy! Although there was the ongoing threat from The Syndicate, and they need to learn who is behind it all.
Embrace the Shadows (Book 3)
Loralei is finding out she has more powers than she thought. She has come such a long way from where she started in book 1.
As they get ready to defeat Adrianna, even more secrets are revealed and a couple of surprises along the way.
Loralei and Vincent a ton of time together, very steamy - they just can't keep their hands off each other.
The epilogue/ending was a little too 'tied up neatly in a bow' for me, too perfect in a stereotypical way.

Fantastic start from Jenn D Young it follows Lorelei who has been in hiding since her Mother was murdered when she was 13 . The connection between Lorelei and Vincent jumps out at you from the start and when they meet after he saves her the chemistry is so strong.

Lorelei and Vincent are finally together but the syndicate are still after her as she’s said to fulfil a prophecy. Love the chemistry between Lorelei and Vincent and the interactions she has with her uncle and Nikolai. It was good watching her come into her powers and finding out who her father is.

This book has everything you need in a fantasy book. There is Demons, angels, vampires, magic, witches the list is endless. With a fantastic strong storyline and well built likeable characters this series looks to be very exciting. The performance from Sarah and Tim is great.

Well, this was a very interesting story. it's about a girl who has the power of a strong Ark angel and a strong Nephilim. she ends up losing her mother at the age of 9, she is raised by foster ppl until she gets adopted by a friend of her uncle. everyone is trying to keep her safe because she is the key to saving the world. she ends up coming into her powers and now she has to fight, but along the way, she finds her mate, and she is no longer alone in the fight for good and evil. but she does go through a lot of pain and suffering along the way. but that just only makes her stronger. so much goes on in this book, but the way it's written is so good. and let's not forget how amazing our narrators did in bringing the characters to life. good job guys. I give it 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ baby. I do hope we get more though. I want the updates on their children. I know you guys are with me on that.

This is the complete trilogy of Lorelei’s story and I just loved her so much. She went though so much and we get to see her from a young age as she grows up and finds out who and what she truly is. There are secrets in who her parents are and what she is. I also love her bond with Vincent who has been looking out for her for her entire life. He’s been the voice in her dreams and always trying to protect her. This had a good mix of angels, demons, and vampires. And Lorelei is the center of a prophecy that she has to stop. There’s a good amount of action and romance in the series along with a lot of character development. I really loved the series a lot and can’t wait to see what else the author is going to write.

All books are great, the first is the more intense were we get to know the chatecters and were the story leads you. The second you have a lot of action, more background information on the chatecters and surprising developments. The final chapter in Lorelei's and Victor's story is very good. In this book we got the closure that we all needed. Lorelei gets to know more about her powers from a very special person and Nick also gets what he deserved. I really love Nick, such great chatecter. Adriana and her band of missfits Will deserved everything that happends. A great way to end the book, the final chapter is really the cherry on top.

Action packed
Missed this first time round, so was happy to get a chance to catch up with the box set! Lorelie has grown up believing she is a normal human whose mother dies of cancer, and bounced around the foster system since. Once she turns 18, she starts to learn the truth! This is three books of full on action, both fighting the bad guys and in the bedroom! Plenty of twists to keep you going - I don't think I could have coped with the cliffhangers had I read the books individually. There's also a bonus novella included that follows the series, with a few easter eggs thrown in!

What could be better then an entire trilogy all together in one set? This allows us to follow Lorelei from a young girl into a wonderful woman. She goes through quite a few trials but int he end her fated mate is always there to support her. This is a fantastic story that plays out in a way that makes you feel like you are actually there with them. Young has a fantastic writing style!! This trilogy is sure to be a delight for fans of paranormal romance with lots of danger and action thrown into the mix. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

This book has so many potential. For me it was just okay. At the beginning I was loving it but as time goes on, it got bored. The heroine was suppose to be the strongest person but there’s nothing to really provide it. Everyone keeps on telling her that she’s the strongest which is redundant. As for fighting goes, there’s not much and how she killed the strongest ppl so easily without even lifting a finger boggles me. They have sex more than training or fighting lol. Even when she’s capture or in the middle of life and death she thinks of sex. Sorry I love paranormal but this was not it for me.

Enthralling. I love a good paranormal with awesome world building,, and Jenn D. Young completely drew me into this world. I desperately want the stories of so many of the other characters. Vincent and Lorelei's story to securing their destiny in a fated mate bond and fighting a battle years in the making was intriguing, suspenseful, alluring, danger filled, and satisfying. Angels, demons, vampires, fated mates, battle against true evil....all the things I love from my favorite supernatural TV shows, movies, and books with unique spins. Loved having their whole story with the HEA compiled into one unending collection. Sarah and Tim do a great job bringing it to life with their narration.

I was enthralled by the captivating storyline and the exceptional narration provided by Sarah Puckett and Time Paige. Their skillful rendition of the audiobook was truly commendable. Sarah Puckett's portrayal of Lorelei was outstanding; her nuanced performance breathed life into the character, making her journey even more compelling. The audiobook experience, enhanced by Puckett's talent, added depth to the narrative. Despite my reservations about certain aspects of the story, the impeccable narration by both narrators elevated the overall experience, making it an even more enjoyable listen. Their contribution undoubtedly enriched my immersion into this supernatural world.

Shadows Ascending by Jenn D. Young is the complete Trilogy and I'm blown away. I'm so glad that I was able to read the series in one go without having to wait for the next installment. it certainly added to the overall amazing ride. the writer used the way we see these supernaturals and made them her own, balancing the plot perfectly with just the right amount of thrill, spice and even fun. Loved the well thought out character and world that the writer created and really cannot wait to read more from her!!!

I love when I can access a full series in one go! If you enjoy the paranormal, don’t like waiting for the next book and want an easy read with a tidy conclusion, this is the book for you. The series drops straight into some trauma! Lorelai must remain hidden, and her loved ones have died for her secret, but even the reason for this is hidden from her to begin with. Maybe the mysterious man she dreams of holds the answers? Though when he becomes a reality, the trouble begins…This has interesting take on celestial beings too. Good read.

This was kind of a new to me author and I was not disappointed. With this author being new to me I loved the fact that I was able to read the whole series plus bonus content in one go. I really enjoyed this series. The one thing that I didn't like was that every time she found out something new she would get upset or start doubting herself. She knew nothing of this world so of course there were going to be things she didn't know. But in the end she learned and grew as a person. I look forward to what comes next.

This series is amazing! We follow Lorelei in this series as she grows, experiences heartache and learns to control the power she has. This series is filled with mystery and will have you on the edge of your seat from the beginning. Jen D Young does an amazing job bringing the characters to life and she will have you falling head first into the world she has built. Bonus, this the complete series so you get to binge all the books at once plus the extra novella at the end. Absolutely fabulous!! 💜🖤

A brilliant trilogy that follows the ups and downs of Lorelei's life. Right from the murder of her mother and everything that changes after that. She doesnt have much of a happy childhood with only one constant in her life an absent uncle and the man of her dreams - Vincent. Only for things to turn for her when she turns 18 and things that were kept secret from her start to surface. Its a fast paced and action packed romance. With two great characters and the ones that surround them. All of which i really loved. Its a great read and the bonus Novella at the end was a good addition too

Wonderful full fledged story! I love that while this follows two main characters there is also a large cast of secondary ones. And guess what? Others get their HEA also! That is just great! The story is full of action, suspense, drama and surprises that easily kept me interested in these stories. The characters changed and grew throughout the whole series.
I listened to this on audio. Sarah Puckett and Tim Paige did and amazing job on the narration. They had a plethora of characters to portray and it was well done.

The writer brings you into the world of paranormal. Archangels, demons and vampires. Good versus evil. Vincent is trying to keep Lorelie safe from the syndicate. The connection between Vincent and Lorelei is spiritual, psychic and sexually intense. This triolgy grabbed me from the start.
Lots of questions, some are slowly unraveling as it progresses.
Sarah. Pickett and Tim Page are excellent vocal performers. Wow, they really brought this story to life! Every emotion, every voice , every character was perfection!

Lorelei's and Vincent are off the charts hawt and steamy, and this box set is super intense and action packed on all levels. You get sucked into this world from the get go and it doesn't let up until the last page. Lorelei hasn't had an easy life, and gets thrown into a world she's been made to forget. This series is fast paced, action packed and super steamy and I love the little bonus novella you get with the box set. Sarah Puckett and Tim Paige do an awesome job of narrating and bringing this story to life.

This trilogy is just fantastic. If you love the supernatural, this is one story you’ll definitely want to read. I was drawn into the storyline and the characters are awesome.

Jenn D. Young had an imaginative story that starts from when the FMC is a kid and then develops as she grows older. This story has a little bit of everything and would like to read some stories in regards to some of the other characters in it. You can also feel a lot of the author's interests in the book such as the music. I am use to RH from her now but it is nice to remember that she is a versatile author that can give paranormal romance such a great interaction.

This was a long read but well worth it. I don’t often read box sets as I like the individual books but thought I’d give this one a go and was glad I did.
The story line is great and you can totally immerse yourself within it. The characters are fun and interesting which is a bonus.
Having the opportunity just to continue to read was great plus not having to wait to see what happens at the end of each book is brilliant give it a try

This is an awesome collection that once you start reading you will have a difficult time putting down. Each book moves along at a perfect pace to match the flow of the story. The characters are all amazing and you will find yourself falling in love with them. Each of these book will keep you interested and reading till the end. This is an amazing collection that needs to be on your TBR list.
