4.5/5 This was a ridiculous slapstick romantic comedy with a bunch of fan service. Aoi Nemo is a rich philanthropist in pharmaceuticals and he’s a genius scientist as well. It’s love at first site (for him) when he sets eyes on Akaumi Kiruru. Now he will do anything he can to woo her. Only one problem she’s a contract killer.
So logically there’s only one thing that can be done. Use your medical prowess to protect yourself and put out a hit on your own life obviously. It is absolutely ridiculous but it’s slapstick and funny and it doesn’t hurt that the ladies are all gorgeous.
I’m trying to pick up a random new volume of manga each week and see what I come across. Let’s see if I can stick to it. This was my pick for last week.

Starting off with a BANG! This manga is about a scientist named Aoi Nemo who hires the assassin Akaumi Kiruru to assassinate him in order to get closer to him. All of their encounters are labeled as dates and it is hilarious! Kiruru is trying to kill him while Nemo is in love with her. Belief must be suspended while reading this, but it is an extremely fun read. Lots of action and made-up science that explains how Nemo avoids death. Totally recommend!

This was a fun read, if a little ridiculous at times. Sure, the comedy was super slapstick, and the premise was pretty absurd, and there was definitely a ton of fanservice. Sometimes, I just want something a bit ridiculous that will just make me laugh. This one won’t be for everyone, but I got a kick out of it.

I am living for Aoi’s mindset lol. He is so convinced something is going one way when it’s the complete opposite. I love the story but this man is crazy for putting is life on the line. And the ending …. Need volume 2 soon 😭 Solid 3.75 stars. It’s a great beginning 🔥 and Kikuru is fire 🔥🔥🔥😍

Even though one of the main characters is an assassin, it was a super light hearted read. There are lots of comedic moments that actually made me laugh. I'm excited to continue on this action-romance ˚ ༘♡ ⋆｡˚

A game of cat and mouse except the mouse is obsessed with the cat and wants to be stomped on.
Not for me. I don’t care for any of these characters. The appeal’s supposed to be marveling at how disillusioned Aoi is and Kiruru's sexiness. The manga never lets you forget it either with its childishly-perverted gaze. But nothing in this story is giving what it’s—y’know.
It still will be slapstick, lighthearted fun for most though.
