The Great Loop is North America's premier boating adventure for the recreational boater. This 6,000 to 8,000 mile route connects the Southeast to the Northeast and the East Coast to the Midwest. Though easily accessible, more people climb Mt. Everest than complete the Great Loop. The route is mostly on protected waters of rivers, lakes, sounds, bays behind barrier islands, and canals. The Great Loop is an adventure of seeing America's backyard, going through cities and small towns, experiencing culture and history and boating with like-minded people where some will become life-long friends. Travel with the author as their lives were changed and experience the people, the history, and the geography in an easy to read adventure that takes you there. Boaters will feel the nudge to do this adventure.
