This is an entertaining story with Lindsay needing to find a husband in two weeks or lose the family ranch. The author brings a clean romance and had me hooked reading her and Kurt's story. She brings suspense and mystery along with the growing love. It's well written, moves fluidly and is an enjoyable read.

My Unexpected Hero tells the story of Lindsay and Kurt who had known each other since they were young. Her cousin Larry was like a brother to her and Kurt was his best friend. They lived on neighboring ranches which meant they seen a lot of each other. The problem was Larry and Kurt pestered Lindsay to death at home and in school. For this she had hated Kurt all these years. Larry had died while in service and Kurt had went to work as a big shot lawyer in Dallas. Lindsay had not seen him in years and was none the worst for it. But when her uncle dies, it puts her and her mother in jeopardy of losing the ranch that had been in the family for years and her home since she was young. When the local lawyer read the will to Lindsay she was shocked at what her uncle had done. She was full of shock and venom when she had to explain it to her mother.

Kurt's arrival to town did not bring the happy reunion with Lindsay he was hoping for. He knew he owed her an apology for all he did to her in school. He had loved Lindsay for a long time but kept it secret as he was a little older. When Kurt apologized and told her why he and Larry was so mean to Lindsay, her feelings for him started to change. When He told her he loved her for years she had begun to have feelings for him also. Her efforts to save the ranch almost cost her life. When Kurt explained to her all the money she needed to keep the ranch in its run down state and asked her if she enjoyed being a waitress at two jobs making less money than she needed to keep the ranch a float she decided to take some time to think over that question as her mother asked her a similar question earlier. "What do you want to do with the rest of your life?" That was one of the questions that changed Lindsay's life forever.

I received a ARC and this is my honest review.

Kurt was Lindsay's high school nemesis, and she still hates him for it. Enter Operation Lindsay - she needs to find a husband in the next 14 days or the ranch will be sold per Uncle Clarence's will. There's already a buyer waiting. Guess who?!? Kurt is darn near perfect, except for that secret he's keeping from Lindsay. I really like Lindsay, but it seems that she's almost trying too hard to find a husband, and hasn't decided what she wants her future to look like. Damien is such a good friend to Lindsay. Even before I found out who he's sweet on, I had decided that he needs to have his story told. Enemies to lovers, drugs, kidnapping, and a small town complete with a fully functional rumor mill... All leading to a wonderful romance and a very enjoyable book. Kaleb's story is next, and I can't wait!! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I enjoyed this book because it was full of wonderful characters and sexy cowboys. Lindsay and Kurt made the book so interesting. Lindsay had two weeks to get married or she would lose her family's ranch according to her uncle's will. It was fun watching her go on dates after her friend set her up on a dating site.
Kurt was a lawyer from the same town as Lyndsay and he had not been very nice to her in school. It was interesting to learn why he did what he did. He had been in love with Lindsay and still was in love with her. What happened next was full of romance, mystery, and suspense that kept me quickly turning the pages. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

When Lindsey's uncle passed away leaving her the family ranch but she has to get married within two weeks or the ranch will be sold. Kurt is a overworked lawyer in Dallas who comes home for a little rest and he also grew up with Lindsey and was a bully to her making her dislike him. He watches the girl he always secretly liked date one loser after another until he decides he has to step in a set things straight with her or lose her for good.

This is the 2nd book I've read written by Allie Bock; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the 3rd book in the Cowboys of Sunnydale Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Lindsay & Kurt; she has inherited everything from her uncle except the ranch and unless she gets married within fourteen days it will be sold.

Having to get married to save her home is a low blow that Lindsay was not expecting. Trying to find a rich man willing to help her is almost impossible but having her worst enemy show up and offer is more then she can handle. This story has humor, danger, sad memories and a sweet romance,

Good clean read

Love reading books like this, that are relatable, has a little suspense, and you don't feel like you've been to an X rated movie afterwards.

Cute little cowboy romance. I’ve been meaning to read this for a while, and I’m glad that I did. It’s pretty simplistic, but that was expected. I like the characters, although the plot could definitely have used some fine tuning. Three stars.
