PLEASE NOTE: This novella is NO LONGER FOR SALE. Any copies found online or elsewhere are illegally pirated.
I'll try getting some of the bonus content up on my website, but since Bloom Books owns the rights to the first book, this follow up short will no longer be for sale.
B. Celeste is a new adult and contemporary romance author that gives voices to raw, realistic characters with emotional storylines that tug on the heartstrings.
She was born and raised in upstate New York where she still resides with her four-legged feline sidekick Oliver “Ollie” Queen. Her love for reading and writing began at an early age and only grew stronger after getting a BA in English and an MFA in English & creative writing. When she’s not writing, she’s working out, binge-watching reality game shows, and spending time with her friends and family.
Me reading about Kaiden's miserable life: 😐😐😐☹️😐😐😐
🡫turns out it wasn't that depressing of a sequel after all. Oh well. ___________________
PLEASE🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣✋
i'M SO SORRY. I promise I'm not laughing at what is bound to be the most depressing sequel of all time. But the reviews for this really are sending me, why are you all like this☠
I didn't really need this, it did nothing for me but remind me how sad the book was. I would like to take it back and just pretend that all this time, Kaiden was atleast happy
This was not what I was hoping for -- and has left me empty and sad. Kaiden Monroe deserves the rest of his story to be told. At this point, I certainly hope he has more life to be lived-- one that leaves him and readers in a better place than these "shattered pieces."
Hopefully, B. Celeste will hear our cries and put an end to the misery with a book devoted to Kaiden's future.
Poor Kaiden. He's keeping everything bottled inside and tries to numb the grief that had invaded him six years ago by using pills.
The need to comfort him rests in my mind even after finishing this book. Oh Kaiden😥...
"Healing doesn’t mean the damage never existed. It just means that it can no longer control our lives."
I am glad that this novella ended the way it did and a special THANK YOU to the author ,B. Celestefor rewarding the readers (who have been faithful to Kaiden) with bonus scenes of Underneath the Sycamore Tree in his POV.
I am also happy to inform those who don't know yet about the book Act Like You Mean It where Kaiden gets his well deserving HEA. To be honest, initially I had wished for Kai to never look at a woman the way he looked at Em but after reading this novella and realising how deeply he is hurting, I just want to give him the HEA life just like how our dear old Em would also do.
as somebody who suffers from depression and anxiety, i read to escape my reality—i rely on HEA books to fuel my happiness and to distract me from my woeful state. to see my reality reflected in a character (kaiden) was a painful, yet moving experience. i have lost a parent as a child too, and i didn’t know how to grieve. i put on a façade. whenever somebody gave their condolences, i’d dismiss them and say “it happened a while ago” or “it’s okay.” it’s not okay, death is never okay—it’s unfair—but death is inevitable. we need to give ourselves time to properly process, grieve, and eventually heal. through the lens of kaiden and emery, i felt seen. the stories of emery and kaiden have reminded me that i can’t escape my problems through reading and setting these unrealistic expectations that life is all sunshines and rainbows, ignoring my depression and anxiety will only cause it to fester and leave me in a truly irrevocable state. to move forward, the first step is to accept my reality and work through it to discover my own definition of happiness.
