Many women enter or stay in relationships out of fear of being alone, shame, or insecurity which may cause them to lower their standards or expectations. What they find are men they normally would never have tolerated. Men they would have told their friends to avoid.
What they find are BooBoo Dudes.
So, what is a BooBoo Dude?
While the term BooBoo Dude might be light-hearted, the concept behind them and the damage they cause women is serious. This term describes a man who portrays narcissistic and abusive behavior, which leads to confusion, shame, and eventual isolation.
Related through Ainsley’s humorous and vulnerable personal experiences, you’ll learn With wisdom rooted in the gospel, Ainsley tenderly brings the reader along her own journey toward confidence found only in Jesus. She embraced her identity and left BooBoo Dudes behind. Every woman can do the same.
This book is a really good book, especially when I feel like I’m reading it at a right time in my life. I highly recommend this book to young females and teenagers who might be going through a tough breakup, situationship, not know where their partner stands, wants help navigating dating and may not understand why they’re still single.
Ainsley shows the reader that it’s okay to be single! It’s okay to go through situations. When your worth and identity is rooted in Jesus, it’s not found in male validation/boys of this world. Overall, this book is very encouraging and uplifting!
“What I do know is that your life is beautiful, your worth is complete in Christ, and your purpose doesn’t begin when you find someone. You have so much to offer the kingdom because you’re able to serve with no distraction.” - page 184.
A good read (listen)! A very encouraging book, both about dating and growing your faith / having your identify found in Christ. I feel like I need to reread this constantly! Def plan to get the actual book and journal about the questions she adds to every chapter.
Such an encouraging book. Ainsley does a beautiful job of tackling hard topics. It truly felt like I was sitting with a sweet friend for coffee talking about relationships. Praying it blesses others as it blessed me. I could not stop listening to this book. This book is not just for those who are dating it has beautiful nuggets of wisdom to help embrace the women God made you to be.
Being an educator in middle school has really opened my eyes. It seems to be the time in life when students begin to figure out who they are. Relationships are beginning to form and be sought out. This book written from Ainsley’s experiences would be so beneficial to every one of those middle school girls. The absolute grounded advice from her is vital to a healthy self worth. Wild Confidence is what we desired our own daughters to have in their lives as young people and now as adult women. This book is an easy read and leaves you feeling like Ainsley is sitting right beside you talking it out. I would highly recommend it and have already started thinking of everyone I want to send a copy to. Bravo, Ainsley! #healingisnotlinnear #wildconfidence #d ontshouldonyourself
I wondered how I, a late 20's married person, would relate to a book about dating...but boy was a wrong! Firstly, Ainsley's writing is absolutely stunning. She is a fantastic story teller, especially with these real life stories. Secondly, this book is not only for single women who are in the dating game. This book is for anyone! This book discusses relationships, friendships, and mostly, how to strengthen a relationship with the Lord to make all parts of life better. This book is a must read for absolutely everyone. You will not be disappointed!
I’m a MSW student & used this to lead a healthy relationships education group for my field placement at a Christian University. It was such a great resource that didn’t shy away from the hard topics. Definitely recommend faith-based practitioners to read and possibly recommend to their clients who are in high school, college, or early 20s. Great resource that I will be keeping in my office once I graduate.
This book was pretty good it was kinda of surface level and veryyy simple!! She gave you such practical steps about how to remove shame, get away from boo boo dudes or dudes who treat you less then you deserve!! I love this book because she helps you realize your self worth!
