There isn’t many recipes that are tasty to me. I wouldn’t think of soup or serving soup in the summer. It seems like a reminder of cooler weather. There are several summer soups and soups i couldn’t make with seafoods. I also think it inconsiderate to serve soup to guests as it’s such an awkward and messy thing to eat and requires extra dishes for the host.

Easy to read layout, one recipe per page with a lovely photograph of the dish on the opposite page. Helpful advice on appliances and preparation. My go-to chicken tortilla soup recipe

Has at least a handful of recipes that my family and I will continue to go to for warmth and comfort, especially during the long winters near Lake Erie.

I have had this cookbook for several years and have used many of the recipes. When the days become shorter and cooler, soup is an appealing dinner choice, and there are plenty of options in this cookbook. Today I made roasted vegetable soup, which was incredibly easy and very satisfying. Each recipe occupies a two-page spread with beautiful photographs. The recipes are all well tested, with easy to follow instructions. Ingredients are readily available. There's also a separate section for making home made stocks. I have had great results from this cookbook, as well as my other Williams Sonoma cookbooks.
