I specialize in media creative writing: developing/writing online games and MMORPGs, books, comics, animation, and other products that tie into film and television shows, as well as the development and creation of new tie-in products. I've written everything from Nickelodeon’s RIDE novelizations and Disney's PIXIE HOLLOW MMO to interactive ebooks based on the Mooshka doll line and an original non-fiction text published by Heinemann entitled WRITING IS ACTING: HOW TO IMPROVE THE WRITER’S ONPAGE PERFORMANCE. I've also self-published—an original horror novel that involves the Peter Pan mythos entitled HOOKED (Publishers Weekly gave it a great review!).

Nostalgia sells right now. There’s no denying it. All anyone has to say is: “remember this?” and people will gladly nod and pay without even thinking about it. Because it reminds them of the good old days. Whether they get quality in return or not. Who would do such a stupid thing, I can already hear you ask. Me, of course. Long story short, I loved TaleSpin, the Rescue Rangers, … as a kid. So when I saw this comic book on sale, I just couldn’t help myself.

The Talespin stories are the main attraction for this collection. And they are so good, better than I remember even. Balu and Shere Khan manage to shine, and Rebecca Cunningham is a cool character who makes the stories even better. An interesting fact is that I can apparently still sing the entire Rescue Rangers theme song by heart. So if you’re wondering how many times I watched the Rescue Rangers as a kid, I’d say: a lot.
Normally, I don’t review comic books on Goodreads. But I really wanted to make an exception for this one. This is old Disney magic collected in a new package. And I love it. Definitely a good nostalgic read for anyone who saw these shows on TV growing up.
A solid assortment of Comics based of the Disney Afternoon lineup, As the cover suggest this volume mostly focuses on Talespin. The gummi bears seem to be first releases in English as they were first printed in a Brazilian magazine, all others appear to reprints from North American releases.
Interesting to read "Webby makes friends with Magica's familiar (or niece in this case) and causes her to turn good" in Disney Adventures before it showed up in the DuckTales reboot.
