At first I was put off by the title and aim of this book. I really dislike sappy, fix yourself tripe, but this book is different. It helped me to enrich my inner life using my past experiences, the good and bad, and helped me to grow up and past some painful moments from childhood to the present. I'll be forever grateful to Dan for recommending this book to me.
The book I read in Vietnamese is titled "Khoảnh khắc tỉnh thức." The content of this book revolves around moments in people's lives, love, relationships with family, and friends, emotions, and the meaning of human life.
In the book, there is one particular quote that I really like: "Every failed relationship can teach you something important about yourself. Ask yourself, 'What can I learn from it?' instead of 'How should I resent it?'". It reflects a positive perspective that can inspire personal growth. Rather than dwelling on failure and resentment, we should look at those unsuccessful relationships to draw valuable lessons and become better in subsequent experiences.
