it was a very looong journey. it's because i was in a hiatus. questioned myself a lot while reading it first, i'm not saying i have a solid-deep knowledge in islam but as someone who's born and raised muslim i trust my islamic knowledge background. so... why did i read an introduction to islam book?
after finding the answer i continued reading this book. for me, the answer is, I believe that whatever background you're coming from, every person should read a basic level islamic studies book. You can easily absorb the knowledge you already have but in a different way. Just wipe out all of your knowledge in islam and read this book without any bias, foresight, anything. So you can easily achieve your goal. What was my goal? Especially for us, born-and-raised muslims, we should-no- we must find islam one more time, but this time by ourselves.
May Allah bless Muhammad Hamidullah and his soul.
