Some lovely festive tales

All of these stories are set in late December, but not all are festive. I like a Christmas story to make me long for presents under the tree, and to make me cry. All are romantic, but only a couple fulfilled my desires. Still, most are enjoyable and well -written so you could do worse.

Deck The Hearts is a delightfully fun and festively heart-warming tale of the true heart of Christmas. This is a holiday tale that will reach into the depths of your soul and show you that all you ever need is the love in your own heart to make the holidays truly unforgettable. Flash and money are what society as a while believes you need to be happy, when all you really need is family and friends gathered together to celebrate the greatest love story ever told.

Holly’s favorite holiday is Christmas. She eats, breathes, and lives it all year long. What better way to prove her devotion by showing others in every day possible how much she cherishes a time of year when everyone smiles a little bigger, laughs a little louder, and opens their heart to friends and strangers alike. This is a woman who gives of herself and thinks nothing of taking. Gordon Gills is a man who has always felt the harsh sting of emptiness that is associated with Christmas. His carries around the heavy burden of a past filled with sadness and neglect. Above all he looks out for himself and never lets anyone get close. Nothing and no one has ever managed to melt his heart of ice, and he is determined to keep it that way. When a women whose heart beats for Christmas meets a man who would be thrilled to have it outlawed, will the town will be destroyed by the sparks and tremors than ensue, or will the pure and healing love of Christmas not only melt but transform this Grinch into a true believer?

A Father for Christmas is one story that takes the harsh reality of life and its consequences and shows them for what they are while at the same time mixing in a healthy amount of love, understanding, and dedication to prove that there really is good in the world for everyone. The end result is a beautiful tale of how two broken and hurting people can find solace and love within the safe haven of each other. They just needed to find the courage to reach out and take hold of the incredible opportunity of wholeness and strength that was being offered to them.

Kelly knows she made a huge mistake in her not so distant past, but she made it with the best intentions in mind. Even though she knows that doesn’t justify what she did, in her heart she knows she is not a hardened criminal. She is a person who knew the consequences involved, paid those consequences and more, and now just wants to provide for her family. She is content to live a quiet yet fulfilled life taking care of the ones she loves. When Tyler Manning comes barging into her life in a very personal yet rough way, Kelly’s world is tiled on its axis enough to realize that she actually does want more out of life. She wants to feel that she is making a difference especially in her young daughter’s life, and perhaps the needs and desires that she has put on the back-burner as unnecessary may not take no for an answer any longer. The problem she faces is trying to figure out how to deal with her daughter’s only Christmas wish this year – a father. Will she take this leap of faith and grab hold of the changes that Tyler promises to bring to her life, or will she shake him off and turn away awhile allowing her heart to completely turn to stone?

Rachelle Ayala is a phenomenal author who has turned my world upside-down. I have only just discovered her, but I plan on delving much deeper into her treasure trove of amazing literary creations. She has completely entranced me with her passion for writing stories that not only touch your heart but impact your soul by leaving an intense lasting impression. I feel as if she has only barely scratched the depth of her heart, but there is no denying that she pours her soul into each of her stories. I can’t wait to read more from her!

Deck the Hearts by Rachelle Ayala

As usual it was a great book. Every book of hers that I have read has been really good.

Aunt Marney passes away and the only heir to the estate shows up at Christmas to decide what he is going to do with the property. Holly was really close to Ms. Marney and she has been hired to decorate the mansion for the holidays. Gordon is a "Grinch" he doesn't care for Christmas and he isn't interested in the house being all decorated.

The town is a little unique and it seems like it would be a great place to live.

I always love Christmas books and this was no exception. It was well written and the characters were awesome. Once you picked up the book it keeps you involved until the end. I had a hard time putting my book down

Pretty Forgetable

A really low quality collection of forgetable stories. These stories were probably rejected by publishers. I bet the 'authors' thought that giving them to be published in a freebie collection would look good on their bibliography. Poor editing, too.

Six Christmas themed romances

I enjoyed all the stories. These are semi cliffhangers/semi standalone in that they are books from one of each authors series.

This was free so I suppose I shouldn't expect too much. A mixed bag of stories, some were good but overall disappointing.
