This was cute and fun but pretty generic. This installment brings nothing truly new to the table in regards to the Alpha Geek series. I like the amount of action and Meghan was a badass. I get that this series is basically smut but I felt the initial sexual encounter came way earlier. I mean Meghan is a former cop performing her job and it just seemed off character for her to sleep with someone she was protecting especially since when she figured out Dax was her mate she didn't act on it. But I am getting a little picky with this analysis. Overall comparatively across the series there are plot holes and the execution felt lacking. Selina Durio said it best in her review: how do they keep finding Dax? Safe houses can be compromised but they changed venues a lot and I'd hope they'd ditch there phones before getting to that point.

This is the first in this series that I've read. I loved it! I will definitely go back and read the others. It's a spicy, quick read all shifter lovers will enjoy. Dax and Meg made an adorable couple. I received an advanced copy and this is my honest review.

Meghan Bennett is a leopard shifter who won awards as a police detective before she left due to corruption getting the better of her team. She now works as an agent for Nick's shifter security force and has been allocated to protect a hot geek with a heart of gold and a big target on his back. Scientist Dax Hall lost his parents to cancer and so has devoted himself and his career to ending the disease. He is close to a cure using nanobots but someone doesn't want him to succeed. Finally unable to ignore the danger he gives in to pressure and takes up the offer of a security guard, although he had no idea it would come in the form of a dark-haired beauty. When Meghan cannot stop one particular attack on Dax she has to make a grim decision, and so when Dax awakes everything he ever thought he knew about life and science has been changed. Will her choices be worth the chance of giving his cure to humanity plus letting them have a long life together?
I really enjoyed this story which introduced another geek with an incredible mind and his shifter mate all tied into Nick's security company. I loved their dynamic, the way that they complimented each other and the kind of organisation that was behind those trying to stop Dax from his cure. I loved the way that the differences in the way different animals fought for example a comparison between the leopard and the wolf factored into the story highlighting how efficient Meghan was at protecting Dax. Easy to read and understand. Contains sexually explicit content. I really hope another book is written in this series soon!

This is an OK shifter romance, but it seemed that the couple was more in lust than in love. Dax and Meghan were both likable, but I would have liked a little more romance and a little less sex.
This was a quick read, so there wasn't time for as much character development as I like -- but there was enough to like the couple and to want them to find their HEA.
I thought Dax would have been a little more shocked when he first saw Meghan shift, and then had a little more trouble adjusting to becoming a shifter himself.
My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

What a wonderful read I loved this addition to the series, great read
Meghan is a leopard shifter who has won various awards and is an excellent police officer, a Detective of the highest calibre until corruption fell upon her team and everything changed dramatically and she knew she had to put a stop to it.
Nick is an Agent for the Shifters Security team and is impressed by Meghan who has come to work alongside the other agents however, she is still smarting from the deception she encountered working at the police force.
Dax Hall is a scientist who has become a marked individual, the cure he has been searching for to cure cancer is innovative and other would kill to get the secrets and he realises that he has to take security seriously.
This is a wonderful read with a great twist and a major decision, I guarantee that once you start reading you will not be able to put this book down till you reach the end.
Read this simply amazing addition to the series I assure you that once started it will be impossible to put the book down.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

What is sexier than an intelligent scientific brain? An alpha one of course. There is nothing hotter than a smart and possessive man. Milly has integrated all the required elements for the sexiest man: brains and protective braun. Dax comes into his own after being unwittingly turned into a shifter and finds his mate. Meghan is used to being the one in charge and the one to take charge, and she has to do that with her new assignment/ mate when he is being hunted down for his discovery. Meghan has to teach Dax about being a shifter while protecting him, and Dax has to learn to temper his alpha maleness while dodging bullets. And they both are trying to learn each other and how to be mates. This is another awesome shifter romance from Milly Taiden!!

Different, not better
I think that maybe since there was a predictable pattern to the way the other books progressed in the series, Milly Taiden decided to switch it up a bit in this one. The problem is that it was too different. Spolier alerts. For example, Dax never talked with his lion. Also, the healing seemed to be so inconsistent ... her broken ribs will heal in a couple of hours, but then she states that she will wear the bruises she gets during sex as a badge of honor??? Also Dax never used his shifted form to help her. The other shifters didn't seem to recognize that he was suddenly no longer just human. It took him longer to heal from a beating as a shifter than it did for him to heal from nearly dying as a human when given shifter serum in the first place. The list goes on and on. I think I am done with this series.

Dax, a cancer research scientist, is assigned Meghan, an ex cop and leopard shifter, as a guard to ensure his safety after he is attacked but when Meghan first meets him she is hit with the knowledge of his being her mate! Then when they're attacked again and he is fatally wounded, she takes him to Zeke! There follows a series of attacks and mistakes! Ultimately the book has a happy ending but certain things are glossed over way too quickly that, in my opinion, are not resolved properly. Still, the tale is a good read as part of the series

Dax & Meghan are the newest sweet couple in the Alpha Geek series. Employed with Nick’s agency they are thrown together when his life is threatened and she is sent to protect him. She’s a smart sexy Leopard with a big heart who was looking for something else after the loss of her police force partner. He’s the nerdy scientist who’s world is turned upside down to discover shifters co-exist in the world.
The relationship moves at lightening pace with these two fun characters having a lotta sexy times with plenty of drama in their attempt to stay alive and safe.
The ending was the perfect wrap up to this super read.

Dax just became my most favorite Geek. I love how he and his Meghan are super HOT and Sexy! I love how he cares for others and how he can help others. Every single Geek seems to be HOT for their protectors. However I love the conversations they share. I love how protective she is of him and he of her. The action is non stop. This book like many kept me on my toes. I found myself reading it 3 times before i would write my review. I like to be fair in my impressions of the books. This has turned out to top the rest of my Geek books to make it to my most favorite. I can not wait to see what happens next.

Confused And Irritated
First, I gotta say I love Milly Taiden’s work. Second, who the heck wrote this book?!?! The first 6 books in the Alpha Geek series have the same character traits and personalities. Same facts and details about the characters.
This book is so different! I honestly don’t believe Milly Taiden wrote this one.
I’m not gonna say what facts and details are so obviously different because I don’t want to spoil it for anyone but I do recommend reading all 7 in order to understand what I’m talking about.
It’s not a bad book, I did enjoy the storyline just frustrated by the changes.

It's a good story and I loved the wedding vows, lovely ending too. But there is that one detail that was forgotten: the thugs in the clearing. Meghan defeated them and then they mate immediately after and in the same place. I couldn't get my mind out of that.
Meghan is really tough, she was able to defeat the thugs by herself, of course it was always a close call. The reader had to suspend their logic in some of the scenes here but overall its an enjoyable read.

Milly brings us another Geek! Dax this time and one of my fav shifter animals. I think I'm a great fan of Milly's, Dax the Geek the story was good. The series in general just fell a bit flat. I'm all for a girl that's a bad *ss'd, So I don't know I liked it yes Milly's an amazing storyteller. You have a bit of action, a bit of oh my, a mix of danger and a sexy sass girl putting the baddies in check. Oh and Dax... smexy smart and oh yum. Some nice melt your kindle scenes. make sure you grab the other in the series as well. Enjoy.

Meghan has had a tough time lately. She left the police force after her partner was killed. Even though it wasn't her fault, she feels guilty about it. Joining Nick's agency has been a good change for her. She never expected to meet her mate on the job! Dax isn't like the usual men she dates but when it is your mate, that doesn't matter. She just has to keep him safe.

Loved the chemistry between Dax and Meghan and with the added drama, suspense, and of course steamy romance made for a very enjoyable and entertaining read. Overall a great read and a wonderful addition to the series. But when she discovers that he is her mate? Can you say hot?! But once Dax gets mortally injured, there is no decision. SAVE HIM! But what will happen when the crew comes back to finish what they started?!......Another sweet and sexy story in the Alpha Geek series by Milly Taiden!

I have loved loved LOVED this series by Milly Taiden and Dax was no exception. I love the chemistry and passion between Dax and Meghan’s story and, like the others in the series, there is adventure, action, intrigue and lots of passion and romance. I recommend reading the other books in the series as many of the same characters are seen throughout but this is a standalone and well worth the read.

I loved the story, but there are parts that were unanswered or altered the “rules” of shifters. Like the shifting and not losing your clothes all the time…it was true in some PDA series, but not in this series. And why does Dax still wear glasses? And how can they suddenly communicate telepathically? And why doesn’t Dax’s Lion speak to him?

Their chemistry is off the charts. This has kidnapping, drama, suspense and like a normal Milly book does not let you down. I could not put this book down until I finished. Loved the ending and hope there is a spin off.

Alpha Geek Dax is Quite a Man
Dad is a scientist working on a cure for cancer. He is attacked and Megan is assigned as his bodyguard. He doesn't know she is a shifter. When he is attacked a second time he is badly injured and she has a friend who is also a scientist and has created a serum that changes him. It is a great story.

Milly really did a great job with Dax books i really love the book series and this book just added to the series i love the adventure and the chemistry between the two main characters was extremely explosive. I couldn't stop reading this book great quick read can't wait to read more book by Milly
