Between Lost and Found and Infinite is a collection of sixty poems divided into three parts.
Lost explores the futility of unhappy endings. Found injects hope into despair, rising with beautiful promise. Infinite lingers on the wonders of life and reflects on the sweetness of the universe.
With themes of memory, grief, self-discovery, relationships, and longing, this is a compilation to savor and cherish.

*i recieved an eARC of this book from the author, but this is my honest review*
i really enjoy reading poetry of all kinds and it is usually a hit or miss for me. this specific poetry collection was filled with emotion, feelings, and lots of depth that i could easily relate to. i enjoyed the longer poems, which i usually don't see much in the poetry i have read. i also really liked how there were three sections to the story (lost, found, and infinite) each poem had its own theme/title in those sections and i liked that about the book. overall, i thought this book was an amazing poetry collection and i am so glad i was able to read it! this poetry collection made me feel all the emotions and it truly tugged at my heartstrings.
This was a book I was super skeptical of enjoying. I'm not a poetry fan. At all. Poetry brings back too many flashbacks to English class. But, the concept of this one really struck a chord in me, and sounded like something I would enjoy.
And I did! The first section, Lost, was definitely my favorite, but I appreciated the others as well. I'll go into deeper detail regarding each specifically, but for now, I'll discuss generalities.
I really loved how many different emotions this collection managed to convey. It never felt repetitive because every single poem evoked something different. Every single one had its own relatability, it's own charm. It made reading this so much fun because I never knew what was coming next. It could be a hopeful poem, it could be one contemplating the "why" of life. It was a really interesting variety, and one of my favorite things about this.
I also loved the concept of this. Having the three sections was so smart, and I loved watching them transition into each other. In order of preference, I'd say Lost, Infinite, Found, but they all had something I appreciated.
Lost:
I absolutely loved this section. Sure, some of them felt kind of preachy, and a bit too life-lessony, but as a whole, i really enjoyed it. It had some really beautiful figurative language and symbolism, it was fun to analyze. I also enjoyed the variety in the poems. Anger, grief, bittersweet endings, all of it was included, and it was all done super well.
Found:
Had some poems I enjoyed, but I definitely preferred Lost as a whole. This one felt way too life-lessony and happy in places. I tend to enjoy darker/sadder poetry, so this just wasn't my thing.
Infinite
This was the perfect note to end the collection on. It combined the grief of Lost with the hope of Found perfectly, and combined into something really hard hitting. It had some amazing poems in there, and I loved some of the quotes.
Even though I was skeptical of this one, I'm super happy I picked it up! My kindle is absolutely covered in highlights, and I'm tempted to buy myself a copy just so I can annotate it. This was a book I can definitely see myself rereading, as every time, a different poem would stand out. I'd definitely recommend it!

Did this poetry collection make me emotional? Yes.
Would I hold it against the author for making me emotional? Probably nope.
I enjoyed EVERY LAST LINE OF THIS MASTERPIECE. As someone who can resonate with good poetry I can assure you this is worth your time. And your tears, sorry not sorry.
I mean Kathy just started the book with the part Lost which is basically a replay of all my previous heartbreaks. Not that I'm complaining. Good poetry is more welcome than my toxic exes, please and thanks.
Part two is my favourite and this specific poem Beige has my ENTIRE heart. Swifties round the world, this book is for you cause the rush is the same, trust me.
For your legacy is not of conquest. It’s not embroiled in achievements and heights to which others will dream to one day attain. . My Rating : 3.5/5 🌟🌟🌟✨ . When I started the book I didn't expect the writing and the content to be so heart warming and hit me in the feels. I really liked the poetry style and the writing. There were some places where I felt it was kind of repetitive, but other than that, it was a great book!! . I feel you in the room. Or perhaps I feel what you meant to me in the room. . * Disclamer: I did received a copy of this book from the author for review purpose. However, this didn’t impacted my review; those are my genuine thoughts about it *
The section I liked the most & had more favorites from was the found. One even brought tears to my eyes (coffee conversation) Favorites; (lost) Why, the party guest, paths, the pain and the girl. (found) Swimming, the greatest love of all, frantic, the magical land, how things are now, seen, when you returned, hide and seek & the dinner party. (infinite) nothing, what I have learned, the curtain and midnight.
This is a lovely collection of poems. Even though this style of poetry doesn’t what I usually picked up, I still enjoy my time reading it. Some of the poems on this are sad and even tragic. It has an authentic voice to it and it is consistent no matter what the topic of the poems are. And it’s so interesting when the poems in this book have a story on each of them. Despite being short poems, the author is still able to put an element of story-telling in it. Some of the poems in this has some thought-provoking questions and I like that I had a hard time answering those questions because sometimes it hits home. And all I can say is “Wow. That’s deep”.
Overall, I rated this book 4 out of 5 stars. This is one of my favorite collection of poems.
----------- ENGLISH REVIEW:
A collection of poetry that I enjoyed, despite the novelty of the genre for me. ¤ It's a reading that I read page by page. I didn't read this collection in one go. Depending on the time and the day, I read one or a few poems each time in order to appreciate each verse. In this poem, the poet has divided her text into 3 parts: Lost, Found and Infinite. She will address several psychological themes that I found interesting and upsetting, such as grief, nostalgia, self-discovery, relationships and many others. I also think that it was the themes of the poems that helped to pique my interest in this unpublished reading. This book touched me in so many ways. Each poem was unique. The poet took care to choose her words well to strike her reader during the reading. I don't have much more to say and I don't know if my opinion is understandable. In addition to reading poetry for the first time, this is also the first time that I have chronicled a work of this genre. It is a short and abstract book. I hope at least that I made you want because if you want a light reading, touching and soothing at the same time, this collection is available!

Between Lost and Found and Infinite is a collection of 60 poems, split across three parts, which all share a similar theme;
• Lost explores the futility of unhappy endings
• Found injects hope into despair, rising with beautiful promise
• Infinite lingers on the wonders of life and reflects on the sweetness of the universe
“If you need to let someone, go because of who they turned into…let them go”
This was a very poignant and emotional read, that really needs to be read slowly and carefully as there are a lot of meanings and messages that will encourage and elicit a range of emotions from everyone reading this book, and each of those will be deeply personal and different for each individual, I know that the feelings and experiences that I remember or had whilst reading this book will be different to other readers, but I do encourage everyone to have a read of these poems as they are beautifully written and posed, and very well thought out and shared. My favourite poems include; “To Love You,” “The Circus”, “Coffee Conversation”, “The Dinner Party”, “Be Here Now” and my absolute favourite “What I Have Learned” which is a collection of 12 lessons for self-love and confidence building, and knowing your self-worth, this poem is definitely one of the more profonde reads in this book for me personally and a lot of self-reflection I have taken from this poem!
The author has done well to create a heartfelt collection of poems that to me relay the timeline of finding someone you love, and losing them, thus having to find a way to deal with that loss and grief, and ultimately find themselves again. Poetry can be quite a difficult genre to review as they really do affect people differently, therefore when I review poetry I look at just how much the poems affected my feelings and whether I would re-read the collection, so this one is a 5 star for me purely because it elicited a range of emotions from me and I had re-read the book three times (so far!)
Now I have to start by saying I’m not an avid reader of poetry because I find it hugely subjective I sometimes just don’t ‘get it’. Anyone else with me? Although that may be the case when Kathy got in touch and asked if I would like to read her upcoming book (a collection of poetry no less) I couldn’t wait to see what she had done.
What I do know about poetry is if it’s done well then it makes you feel. You may not understands every line but more than that it encompasses and absorbs your feelings and I can safely say this collection does that.
The book is divided into three parts (as per the collection’s title) and whilst there was at least one poem which resonated with me in each section of the book I definitely enjoyed the poems more as we worked through the collection.
I found the ‘Lost’ section a difficult read. As the name suggests the poems in this part all have a hollowness at the centre. They are sad and personally, I found this section of the works challenging to get through. The subjects are raw, exposed and empty and there is a lot of reference to the loss of love.
The ‘Found’ section, as you would probably expect, has a more positive feeling sitting in the background. The poems in this section were more uplifting but also provided a more introverted look at feelings and how small wins are huge accomplishments. This part of the book created a perfect segway between the Lost and Infinite parts. Empty was my favourite poem in this part; mixing my love of ballet with an escapism that I could resonate with. To me it was about finding yourself whilst you’re lost in the moment of an alternate reality, even if it is just for a small time.
The ‘Infinite’ section of the book is the more hopeful of the sections. That’s not to say it was all happiness, unicorns and smiles because it wasn’t but there was an feeling of hope, searching, seeking the future and moving forwards. This session looks at lessons learned but instead of moments of sadness looks at them more with more a fondness. My favourite poem in this part was ‘You are magic’.
Personally, it felt like I started the collection in the dark and came out the end standing in the light. It was a rollercoaster of emotions but they were worked through and instead of feeling sad and fretting over the past I was looking forward to the future; I wasn’t dwelling. I’m not sure if this is how Kathy wanted me to feel but I do know she wanted to evoke emotions in me and that was definitely the case. This was a 4 star read for me.
In addition, the book cover artwork and that on the pages of the section headers is gorgeous. It fits perfectly with the poems and is done so well so make sure you take some time to pore over it. I was gifted an e-arc of this collection of poems by the author - thank you Kathy!
I was approached by Kimbray to read her collection of poetry that she had written. While I am not an outspoken fan of poetry, I did read it from time to time. So when I was offered the chance to read her collection of poetry, I was not expecting the level of depth that came with it. Most poetry I read spoke in too abstract terms for me to understand; the poetry in this collection I understood too well to the point of tears. I could relate to most of the poems from collection in ways I never thought possible. And while it did poke at some feelings I hoped not to feel for a while longer, there was a type of solace that came with it to know that I wasn't the only one to feel all of it. I applaud Kimbray for putting her feelings and writing what she wrote. In a way, we readers take for granted what authors write and in a way put themselves up to the scrutiny of others while exposing pieces of themselves to us the readers and only hope that they are able to convey the feelings they have while writing their written works. I truly enjoyed this collection of poetry and I know I will be re-reading them again in the close future as well as sharing it with anyone who is willing to hear me out. I well and truly hope that others will read this book and feel something while they read the poetry that lies inside it. I even wrote a whole book blog if you want to read more of my thoughts on the book.
I received a free copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Thank you Book of Matches Media & Kathy Kimbray for sharing this e-arc with me. The following review reflects my honest reading experience.
So I was actually nervous about reading Between Lost & Found & Infinite. I don’t read a lot of poetry because I tend to have difficulty totally understanding it or I have flashbacks to high school English classes. But the stunning cover and the concept/blurb or this one really captured my attention. So I decided to give it a try! And I’m really glad I did!
While I can’t say that I understood every piece, but I had a great experience reading this collection. And even though I may not have understood everything, I did feel such a wide range of emotions while reading.
My favorite section was definitely Infinite! I was most inspired by these. “What I Have Learned” was my absolute favorite and I will definitely stick with me. “You Are Magic,” “Magic Dust,” and “For All This Time” are some of the others that I loved.
Between Lost And Found And Infinite was one of those books that you want to read slowly. It was an emotional read for me. Definitely one of my new favourite poetry books, and I have read many poetry books since the lockdowns.
The poems in this book are sectioned into 3 parts. All parts were very moving but 'Infinite' was the section that grabbed me most. I especially loved 'Midnight', 'Love Above All', 'The Trail', 'What I Have Learned', 'The Universe Of You And Me' and 'To Create'. 'The Dinner Party' was also very emotional for me. I liked that the whole thing seemed to be a metaphor.
When it comes to critiquing poetry, it is not easy. But usually I go by how something affects me and this affected me very much.
I look forward to more from this author.
Thank you for providing me an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I received an e-arc through Book of Matches Media, but all thoughts are my own
Such a heartfelt poetry collection of love and loss, and everything in between. Some of these poems went over my head, but there were also some I really resonated with and some that brought tears to my eyes.
Found was my favorite section, I marked the most poems and lines from it. The poems themselves flow really well together, none of them felt disjointed and they all followed the themes well. The author has beautiful writing, and there were many one (two?) liners I marked because they just hit different.
If you're looking for a good poetry collection that will hit you in the feels and leave you reminiscing, this is the one for you.
I was sent a copy of this book for the exchange of an honest review.
Things I loved about this book:
♡ First things first, look at this cover! Do I need to say more?
♡ The poems were beautifully written! It was so full of emotion and I loved each one!
♡ The artwork and fancy fonts add to this stunning collection.
♡ The poems are grouped into 3 sections; Lost, Found, and Infinite. While there are many poems in each section it did not feel repetitive and they were able to tap into different emotions. I feel like there would be something for everyone in this collection.
Thank you for the opportunity to read and review your story.
***I read an ARC and this is my honest review*** Poetry is usually hit or miss for me. I don't enjoy poems that I cannot feel and identify with on some level. This book was filled with depth and feeling. I spent a lot of time marking up so many of Kimbray's incredible lines. The poems are longer than many you read these days but it meant that there was more time to get invested and I was able to have time to take a journey with each one. I recommend this book. Thank you to the author for gifting me a copy to review!
Between Lost and Found and Infinite is a beautiful collection of poetry. Each poem and section has it's own theme and meaning but each poem also gives you a different emotion so you aren't reading and feeling the same thing over and over. It was an emotional ride but I enjoyed every minute of it! A lovely collection that has a little bit of something for everyone!
Thank you Book of Matches Media and Kathy Kimbray for sharing this book with me!
This collection is beautifully written! It talks about loss and how you rise from it, which are themes everyone can relate to! The poems are deep and meaningfull and, even though poetry is usually not a genre I read, I found myself enjoying this a lot! So, if this sounds interesting to you, I reccomend you give it a try!
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I LOVED THIS SO MUCH. Review to come when I get my thoughts in order but I could relate to nearly all the poems and I didn't want the book to end. It's magical and full of emotion and I wanted to read more!!!
So beautifully crafted, this book will take you on a journey through life. The sadness of loss, the search for truth and the beauty of our existence. A must read.
It’s been some time since the last time I’ve read a poetry book (I think) so I was definitely excited to get into this book.
And look at that cover and the title!! More than enough to make me want to read this 🤚🏼
The composition of this poetry book is definitely not like the other that I’ve ever read so far (lang leav, Michael Faudet, Nikita Gil or Amanda Lovelace), and I think this one is quite interesting and at the same time refreshing in a sense that it’s more of like a mini short story/ prose- poetry, which I mostly enjoyed. The storytelling was definitely good most of the times.
Aside from that, the writing is definitely good, it really did help me go through as I delve into it. There were a number of composition that did compelled me (which I had bookmarked ✨) and some that did not resonated much.
Overall, this was a good read ✨ I would love to read more from this author soon and of course this type of poetry style ❤️
I don’t normally enjoy reading poetry, but I did enjoy this collection of poems. I’ve been trying to branch more into the genre, to give it at least a chance. It always reminds me of school and how I never understood poetry, the meaning behind it.
I can’t say that I completely understood these, but it was much better than those poems from school. And I was trying. It was a good experience for me, because it wasn’t negative, made me feel stupid, or anything. I read this straight through in one evening, because it didn’t bore me.
Your girl is someone who is super hesitant to review poetry on her blog because I do think it’s super personal and if you aren’t in a certain headspace or in a mood, it just won’t work for you. I also don’t think I can offer any constructive criticism when it comes to poetry!
Which is why this particular collection also stays at 3 stars for me. I generally prefer shorter poems. The only exceptions to this rule are the Ballad of Reading Goal by Oscar Wilde and the collection, You Better Be Lightning by Andrea Gibson.
As a whole this particular collection by Kathy Kimbray had some really sweet moments! I love the poem How things are now!
