Inevitable Ella

Rate this book
Seven years ago my soulmate got married.

To someone else.

Fraser Farmer broke me. Made me incapable of loving again.

Seven years later he's back, whispering I love you.

He's gorgeous, magnetic, successful, an athlete at the peak of his game.

But behind his picture perfect life and family, lies a precarious path of deceit and anguish and a vicious sports agent on the warpath to destroy him.

He's a prisoner in his own life. Held captive.

He still belongs to someone else.

Can I help set him free?

And can he be the one to uncage and heal my dying heart?

I have two options.

Fight alongside him, or have my heart broken again.

Do I even have a choice, or were we always inevitable?

V.H. Nicolson is new to me but I decide to jump into her book which is the second one of the series because I am a sucker for second chance and sports romance. Too bad that I find out that this book is not for me. First of all, the book is well written and the plot is interesting because of Fraser's marriage. And I have to say that I totally understand Fraser and Ella's attractions but I also find out that they don't have any self restraints in themselves. Fraser is still married even if it is just by law and Ella knows it but that doesn't stop them to jump each other whenever they have a chance. It feels wrong. And I think Ella's sex tingles all the time when she see Fraser is a little bit overrated, odd, and unbelievable. I also think that Fraser's a little bit naive and not wise from what he puts himself into and because of that, he almost loses Ella again. So no, I'm not impressed. I give up at 50% of the book and have to skim reading through the end because I hate DNF.

This was wattpad level writing like how is this published first of all, second every single character in this book pissed me off. Like Elle has NO backbone, I understand the dude made mistakes but I wish she made him grovel more cuz tf, man wouldn’t even trust her with his issues.

Also felt like Anna was the fl like the ml was constantly talking about how he wants to make things right for Anna, give her a good life and he was consistently defending her against anyone no matter what like god damn dude just go marry her tf.

When the headlines came out and he pushed her away and was later like “sorry :( I was just confused” like you listened to Eva call her a whore and you don’t say sht cuz you’re confused???? And she just forgives him omfg.

Also wtf was that ending 💀 he solves everything and celebrated with Anna but leaves the literal “love of his life” waiting for 4 weeks cause he needs time????! Is this not the dude who wanted to get married to her asap, and again she just FORGIVES him for it. Don’t even get me started on the whole bc he wasn’t getting any from his fake wife he got it from a escort service. Oh so ok yay he didn’t cheat on her cause he never loved his wife but oh wait dude was using a escort service the entire time but that’s ok cause he got needs even tho he was “trying to get back with the love of his life”
I am never trusting a tiktok book again this was awful don’t waste your time please

Wow! I didn’t think I could love any pro golfer more than Hunter King, but then Fraser Farmer rocked up. And he is HOT!! He and Ella’s chemistry is off the charts.

After breaking her heart, Fraser returns to his home town to win it back. But things are never that straightforward, are they? There are twists and turns aplenty that will keep you frantically turning the pages so you can find out what’s in store for this couple who are destined to be together, even though there is someone trying to keep them apart.

I loved catching up with Hunter and Eden, and I can’t wait for Knox and Eva 🥵🥵

This book broke my heart, but then put it back together again so perfectly. Beautifully written with a great story and plenty of spice!! The perfect read and a very well deserved 5 stars from me!!

Championship golfer Fraser promised Ella a lifetime of love. They were torn apart by Fraser's evil and manipulative agent. But now they have a second chance after seven years apart. Will Ella risk her heart once more?

Inevitable Ella is full of drama, twists, and angst. Get ready for this emotional and tumultuous love story that involves lost love, hope, second chances, and a whole lot of love. I was hooked right from the start!

Fraser and Ella are ill-fated soul mates. For them, it's always been each other, Forever & Eternity. No one else matters. It was impossible not to root for them to overcome all of the obstacles. Despite all odds, they fight for their relationship and happiness together.

I enjoyed this passionate, messy, steamy, heartbreaking, never easy love story!

I received an early copy of this book. This voluntary review reflects my honest opinion.

Inevitable Ella, Book 2 of the Triple Trouble series, was about Ella Wallace, one of the Wallace Triplets, and Fraser Farmer, a pro-golfer.
Ella and Fraser had a long history, dating back to high school. Ella had been in love with him from the age of thirteen (he had been fifteen). Fraser had left Scotland for America to pursue a golfing career, and the two of them managed to hold on to a long-distance relationship...that is, until Ella's 21st birthday when Fraser broke up with her over the phone. A few weeks later, she learned that he had married another woman and, soon after that, had a son with her. Ella never got over him.
Seven years had passed before Fraser returned...and informed her he had never stopped loving her, that his life was not his own...and that he couldn't tell her what had happened for him to marry someone else, other than that he had been forced to stay away from Ella. No further explanation was given for his defection all those years ago.
Ten months passed after Ella's encounter with Fraser at the Winner's Ball where he confessed his undying love...even though he was still married to another woman...and walked away yet again because of the futility of that love. Ella, her sister, Eva, and their parents all stepped in to help her other sister, Eden, and husband Hunter, with their brand new triplet sons. On one of the nights when it was Ella's turn to help, she was surprised by the arrival of Fraser. Upon seeing each other (and Fraser being introduced to Ella's current beau), Fraser quietly informed her he would not be married for much longer, though they were interrupted before he could explain further. During the family dinner, Ella mentioned his wife, who he immediately said would soon be his ex-wife, and that the child everyone knew about wasn't his son...shocking everyone. However, when confronted with his constant revelations, Fraser repeatedly spouts that he can't (not won't...can't) tell her more, which to any decent reader worth their salt, was bull-schtick...but expected. Hunter, who knew what was going on with him, encouraged Fraser to tell Ella the truth about their past, and what was about to happen in the present, though Fraser wasn't so sure he could...or should...for fear of losing her...although did he even truly HAVE her?
Side Note: For the record, no, I do not condone Fraser and Ella sleeping together while Fraser was still married. Cheating is cheating. Also, by cheating on his wife with Ella, not only did he make her "the other woman", but he turned her into a cheater like him.
Fraser confronted Ella the next day and told her (not asked...told her) to be ready that night because he was finally going to fill her in on what had been going on in his life for the past seven years that they had been apart. And he did...the whole, ugly, pitiful truth.

When Fraser was informing Ella about his upcoming schedule, and how it would lead up to his inevitable separation from his wife, she noticed he never mentioned how things would affect HER...or if he would return to be with HER after leaving his wife. He only mentioned his mother and stepson...not Ella herself. Very telling.
From that point on, the drama and angst began to hit overdrive and took off unrestrained. And the punches just kept rolling. The angst and drama were off the charts with this story, and the twists and turns were seemingly unending. There were quite a few surprises, some events that weren't as shocking as others, and it was a rocky rollercoaster ride right up to the very end.
The emotions were all over the place, touching just about every emotion a person could feel. At times you'd feel like throwing the book across the room in frustration and anger, while at other moments, you'd be blowing your nose and dashing away the tears.
The characters were all well-developed and mature, with the two main characters being the best Hero and Heroine you could hope for...even when you wanted to reach out and smack one or the other of them upside the back of their head. Some of them were quite a pleasant surprise because, at first you'd think you're going to hate them, but in fact, you end up liking them. The opposite was true for some of the other characters. You'd think they were likable, and you end up detesting them. By the end of the story, the emotional tug-of-war will have you falling back in your seat and fanning yourself to keep from fainting...it's that emotional. The book definitely earned a five-star rating and a place in my Keeper for the Shelves collection.
The book did need a bit of tweaking here and there, but for the most part, it was very well written. The author could have ended the story a good ten or twelve chapters sooner by leaving out the excessive fluff. There were times it dragged on or was a bit too repetitive, making the story feel somewhat heavy and bogged down. Some information that was mentioned multiple times could have been narrowed down or even left out entirely. But for all that, the book was an excellent read and worthy of the time spent doing so.

Conflicted on this one

I loved the love that Fraser and Ella had for each other and the painful moments were written in a way that made them feel painful. Spoilers ahead…
But it was all a little far fetched, not necessarily the parts with Nate that lead them to all of this (although who would just simply go along with it all the while suspecting they were drugged?) but the lightning quick forgiveness. After 7 years Ella wants Fraser right away before she even knows the reasons he broke her heart. Sure, no big deal to so easily forgive him and jump into bed with him. I feel like no matter how strong the attraction it would take more than simply walking back into her life for her to forgive him enough to jump into bed. Also, after their second chance is taken away and Fraser finally gets free you are telling me that the fact that he waited 6 weeks to contact her again is no big deal because he bought them a house? Really? I would have wanted the 6 weeks. I think most people would have and a house wouldn’t warrant such easy forgiveness of that. I mean he couldn’t go 2 weeks without hiring an escort but he can go an additional 6 weeks away from the love of his life. Eh, not buying it. It would have been more realistic to me if he rushed right back to her. Then began the whole buying a house process.
So I really liked parts of this book but really didn’t like others. If you are a more skeptical, cynical person then maybe not the book for you. Hopeless romantic who doesn’t hold a grudge? This might be your jam.

4.5 rounded up.

I have to preface this review by admitting I didn't read Hunting Eden. I'm so ashamed. But Ella and Fraser's story has encouraged me to download Hunting Eden and it's right at the top of my TBR. Because damn, Vicki can write!!

This second book in the standalone Triple Trouble series follows the second of the triplets, Ella, with the previous one following, you guessed it - Eden!
Ella had her heart completely and utterly shattered by the love of her life, Fraser, seven years ago on her 21st birthday when he unceremoniously dumped her over the phone before proceeding to marry and have a kid with his agents beautiful, socialite daughter Anna. Fraser and Ella were high school sweethearts having been together and madly in love from the age of 14 and 16 respectively. When Fraser is offered a golf scholarship to the States when Ella is 18 he goes and contact dwindles however Ella remains faithful until he ends things suddenly three years later.

My stomach bottomed out reading all this as my heart just broke for Ella and I honestly questioned how the heck Vicki could redeem Fraser and make him likeable after his horrid actions. But she does. She really does!!

I was rooting SO freaking hard for this couple. I needed them to get that hard fought HEA!! SO. FREAKING. BAD!!! The obstacles in their way, at times, seem insurmountable and the angst gave me heartburn. No lie! But it's the best kind of angsty goodness with that slow payoff everyone loves.

The world building in this series is excellent. I want to live in Castleview Cove so bad. These characters and the way they interlink with each others stories is fantastic. I didn't feel I was missing out having not read the first one. Its just the fact I now love Hunter and Eden I want to read their story too.

The epilogue was lovely and exactly what my heart needed after all the angst. I devoured this book, despite its size, in a matter of hours opting to stay up while the house slept despite the fact my twins still don't sleep the night and sleep is precious!!

I am on the edge of my seat waiting on the third installment, Unexpected Eva!!

Sincere thanks to the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for the early copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

Having read Hunting Eden earlier this year I have been looking so forward to more of Ms.Nicolson's work! As soon as i found out about this one i couldn't wait to read it! I picked it up and got back into The Triple Trouble World! I enjoyed this story!

Ella and Fraser's journey got my attention from the start! I wasn't sure how things were going to play out for these two which had me glued to my kindle even more. I went through all kinds of emotions while reading with these two characters which i really liked! This story shows what it means to have your love tested and I appreciated the realness of that.

With Inevitable Ella, Ms.Nicolson has created a good read with feels! I'm looking forward to the third installment in The Triple Trouble Series!

Wow! Where do I start? This book broke my heart and then pieced it back together in the most beautiful way.

Fraser and Ella are childhood sweethearts and the definition of soulmates, but life has other plans for them and they’re thrown hurdle after hurdle.

There was so much emotion in this book, and I was rooting for Fraser and Ella to get their long awaited and much deserved HEA, and they did, in the most incredible way, which had me in tears. (Along with lots of giggles – Epilogue is all I am going to say!)

Even though this book was a heart wrencher, it still packed in the spice. Boy does Fraser know his way around more than just a golf club. The heat between these two sizzled off the pages!

I adored this book and cannot wait for Book 3. We get a snippet of what is coming up for Ella’s sister, Eva, and I can tell it is going to be ah-mazing!!!

V H Nicolson is most definitely a one-click author for me now.

My heart needed a few days to heal after reading this book before I could review it! I totally fell into it hard even though I thought I knew what to expect after already being pulverised by Eden and Hunter in Hunting Eden. Let me just say that Inevitable Ella reached a place inside me that wants to feel all the emotions Ella and Fraser felt… yes, even the heartbreak. I cried for the life that they should have had the first time around and was on my knees hoping that they got their happily ever after. Romance lovers, you need this book series in your life. It’s heart stoppingly beautiful and the hotness factor is panty scorching. Now I’m saving for therapy while I wait for Eva’s story!
Highly recommended.

i have waited so patiently for the second book in this series ,and was worth the wait . when this author writes a book it comes from the heart and you can so tell 'and through the story the good the bad its as if you are in the room with them . we had Eden s and Hunter s story and now its Ella s , and you will not be disappointed . Ella lives with her two dogs Treacle and Toffee and what Characters they are . Ella cant keep a relationship as there only one man in her heart Fraser Farmer who she dated in high school and he wanted to follow his dream become a pro golfer but Fraser had to go to America . he gave Ella a gold necklace with a gold feather on it so she can feel close to him . but on her 21st birthday he broke her heart split up with her , now Fraser Farmer is back and he wants Ella back but he is married and has a son the story that goes with it is just brilliant one stage i was crying , and the unicorn friend one part so funny i so cant wait for Eva s story i so recommend this author and series

I don’t know about this one.

I never really felt their deep connection. I felt like a lot was told but not shown.

I just want one book where the girl says they’re just talking, won’t sleep with a guy, and doesn’t give in five minutes later when her body betrays her. Ugh!!

I don’t like how Ella sleeps with Fraser before having any info or any grovel. I know they’re connected, but still. In a second chance romance, I want to see trust built back up!! You have to escalate the angst and tension, make me like the guy again, and then I’d feel satisfied when they reunited. They got back together too quickly for me.

The past didn’t make much sense to me either. They were long distance for years but at one point she says they only had a few phone calls a year?! A year!! Why didn’t she demand more answers from him at this time?! He mentions that he was drinking excessively, gambling, busy, etc. but that is far too long to ignore someone you love so much. Why wasn’t she super concerned?

I was also soured by Fraser talking about escorts. At first, I was like… fine, maybe he goes a few times a year since he can’t date. But then he mentions he sees them “just once every two weeks”, has had 2 girls at once, has done bondage with them. Ok thanks - did I need this info?? I guess he didn’t expect to get back with her and needed to scratch an itch but it makes me roll my eyes when he’s all it’s only you. Yes, Ella dates, but she, unlike him, didn’t know the truth and was trying to move on with her life. Maybe he was too, and I’m probably being sensitive but this part made me not like Fraser so much. It was mentioned too many times for me to try and push it away.

Ok, so then there’s all the drama with his agent, their separation and… he doesn’t call her or let her know he wants to get back together because he’s preparing a grand gesture?! She’s heartbroken for months, thinking he’s not coming back only to have movers show up. I did not like that part. He just shows back up, after she’s been crushed all this time, moves her into a new house, and it’s supposed to be super romantic but to me it was bulldozing and upsetting he let her dangle so long!

Overall, I just wasn’t sold on this one, but am sort of interested in Knox so I might read the next!

this was one of the worst books i’ve ever read.

+ literally nothing. every character was an asshole or pathetic.

- poorly written/reads like it was written by a teenager
- a SERIOUS doormat FMC who forgave the MMC way too easily and accepted all of his bullshit without question
- asshole MMC who left the FMC heartbroken and ~ruined~ for any other man. he left the FMC to marry someone else, raise a child with her, and then came back into the FMC’s life demanding to be together again (one of my least favorite tropes). as an added bonus, he revealed to the FMC that he explored bondage with the escorts he used to fuck. absolutely charming 🥲
- i could not tell you a single likeable trait about ANY character in this book

wish i could get back the hours of my life i spent reading this dumpster fire. 0/10, do not recommend.

What a fabulous read from VH Nicolson! I loved ‘Hunting Eden’ and had already fallen for the other characters in their story. With a great combination of romance, angst, emotion, and steam, this is sure to attract a lot of contemporary romance readers. I really enjoyed their back story; it added more depth to their relationship and really had me empathising over their situation. Fraser is a great hero with equal parts sweetness and sexiness. He’s easy to fall for. Ella comes across as quite feisty and confident, but as you read on you also get to see her vulnerable side which shows her insecurities over their past. I really warmed to her as I read her inner most thoughts, which were really relatable.
The writing is as good as I expected it to be from this author but is also easily accessible for all readers. There is a crossover of humour, tenderness, erotic, as well as heart-breaking moments. The inclusion of characters from the first book is done in such a way that you feel like you’re part of their world, which has you rooting for their happiness all the more. It also has you waiting on tender hooks for Eva’s story; it’s sure to be amazing.
Overall, a fantastic read that I’m sure many readers will thoroughly enjoy.

I love sports romance. Yet I've only ever read one other sports romance that features golf. So there's that.

I went into this book not knowing what to really expect as it was my introduction to VH Nicolson. The beginning was a bit slower paced for me, and I was struggling to connect with the characters. That being said, once things picked up, I found myself invested. Especially once Fraser told his story. His story is intense, and there is a lot that has happened since he arrived in the US. For me I was more interested in the Nate/Anna/Ethan/Fraser storyline than that of Ella/Fraser. Yeah I know. I read a romance and that wasn't the highlight for me.

That being said, I did enjoy the book. I loved how everything played out with Nate/Anna/Ethan/Fraser. Of course I also appreciated the HEA for our couple.

I am looking forward to reading the next book, as Eva has my curiosity piqued.

🤩🤩🤩 W O W 🤩🤩🤩

OMG. I’m a mess. I have been waiting for this book with barely contained excitement. VH Nicolson knocked it out the park with the first, knocked it out the country with this the second instalment of the Triple Trouble series, heaven knows where the golf ball will end up with the upcoming 3rd book.

No spoilers, but this book will break your heart, stitch it back together, smash it to smithereens and then glue the pieces back together in better shape than before. I cried, giggled, had multiple hot flushes, giggled and cried at the same time before melting like chocolate.

If you loved Eden and Hunter from book 1, you are gonna love Ella and Fraser even more! If you haven’t met the triplets yet, dive into Hunting Eden first, you won’t regret it. Yet another Ace.

Inevitable Ella continues on from a little while after where the first book ends. We meet some of the same characters 😉 Ella is heartbroken after losing her childhood first and only love. Can they work out all the issues that now come up? Or is there too much to come back from?

I really enjoyed both books, but for me the second was more my style book. There was suspense and drama and at times it was really hard to put down 😍

I never normally read the next book sections at the end of books because I'm so impatient but I was dying to know how Eva's story would go and omg 😍 Can't wait!!

Inevitable Ella is the second in the Triple Trouble series by VH Nicholson. I had not read the first book, but IE was able to stand alone very well. I didn't feel as though I was trying to catch up; it all flowed naturally, and I was not left feeling confused. Ella is a dancer who loved Fraser as her best friend, childhood sweetheart, and lover before he broke up with her in a brutal way.

This story is the angst and steam-filled (I mean hot!) story of their second/third chance love story. It's a long brutal journey with a lot of twists and turns, an evil character that you would so much love to dropkick, and an unlikely ally. But in the end, they get their HEA and more steamy scenes.

We first meet Fraser and Elli in book one and while this can be read as a standalone you’ll enjoy the story more if you read book one as the characters interconnect. Fraser and Elli had been in love, soulmates until something happened that caused Fraser to leave but finally Fraser’s ready to come back and he’s going to win Elli back but life’s so complicated for these two that they might not get their happily ever after. I loved that we caught up with Hunter and Eden again and that we learn a little more about Eva whose book is next. A enjoyable read and another great edition to the series.

I thought this book was fun from start to finish, and I enjoyed it so much I went back and purchased the first book in the series. I loved the chemistry between Fraser and Ella, and man, did he have quite a few obstacles to overcome in his pursuit of hopefully being with Ella again. I certainly wasn't expecting the emotional moments in the story, and I liked the way it added to the overall story.

Well Fraser is definitely spicy!
Ella and Fraser’s story is told in dual perspectives. This is a stand-alone book which is part of a series. To understand the other characters back story you can read 𝑯𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑬𝒅𝒆𝒏.

Fraser is a pro golfer and Ella owns and runs a dance studio with her sisters. Fraser and Ella were high school sweethearts until Fraser ended the relationship, and ended up married to someone else not long after the breakup, leaving Ella heartbroken and confused.
Fraser is back and he wants Ella back, he won’t stop until she is his again.

This book was full of twists and turns and it was such a fun read. I really enjoy VH Nicolson’s writing style and love her characters. I thought Hunter was my favourite, but Fraser has stolen that title!
Brilliant book! I am looking forward to the next one!!

I was lucky enough to receive and ARC copy of this book and I loved every second of it.
Ella is heartbroken when her boyfriend moves to America and ends it with her. From the outside it looks like he has the perfect Instagram worthy life, but all is not what it seems.
It’s a beautifully written second chance story with VH’s usual twist of Scottish-ness with lots of spice and heartache along the way.

This is the second book in The Triple Trouble Series, a Contemporary Romance. This is a Series of standalone stories, with cross over characters. I haven't read the first book yet, but I will. Ella and Fraser's second chance to love is beautifully written, emotional, and sweet, filled with angst, and twists and turns. This is a great Sports Romance. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to reading the third book in the Series, Ella's sister Eva's story.

This is the second book in the triple trouble series. It’s a second chance love story. Fraser and Ella were childhood sweetheart. Fraser is a pro golf star . Both him and Ella were in love & had plans for future . He moves to California and breaks off with her and marries & starts a family and breaks Ella’s heart . Ella is heart broken but tries to move forward with her life. Fast forward seven year Fraser comes back and wants a second chance with Ella. The story was captivating and beautifully written. It was emotional roller, angsty and with all the feels. This is the first time I am reading this author and haven’t read the first book in this series but this book can be read as a standalone. I really liked Hunter and Eden’s characters and I am pretty sure their story is the first book in the series. Would definitely be reading their story before the last book in this series is published.

What a Beautiful Story

This was such a lovely book, I really enjoyed every word and the story developed so nicely, there is emotion, love, challenges and pain, overcoming past hurts, it is funny and thoughtfully constructed to give you everything you want in a good story... can't wait for the next one... I have loved both in this series so far..

Another compelling book from an emerging author. Although the ending felt a little rushed, it was good to see things end up the way they did.
