Now the sheriff's department begins a countywide search for the boy. With suspicion growing that Hannah is involved in her son's disappearance, the distraught mother will stop at nothing to prove her innocence and get her child back.
But can she face the shocking truth surrounding her son's kidnapping?
This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and found myself second guessing every thought I had continuously. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Hey Wolf Lake Series Fans, I have the book 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars!! Awesome book. Very suspenseful. This book at one point had me at the edge of my chair. Thomas Shepherd and Wolf Lake Consulting we’re fantastic. I have more book to go to finish the series. Thomas the Sheriff has Asperger’s Syndrome and you can’t even tell he has it because of how smart he is. Chelsey his girlfriend is perfect for him. Nonetheless, you guys have to read this series. I literally bumped into this series without knowing the Author or if the plots to this book were good and I am so happy that I gave it a chance !! You guys definitely need to read this series. I promise you guys will love ❤️ it!! Now, I’m ready to read the last book of this series…
This was more tolerable than the last few books were. Still, the adults behaved like children at times. The antagonists motivation seemed a bit unrealistic. But, overall this was readable & not too annoying. I’m still docking a star because I think the current rating is unrealistic.
I loved Gone it's a great continuation of the Wolf Lake Series. In my opinion if you are a Dan Padavona fan he didn't disappoint. He gives you suspense, mystery and family. Dan Padavona kept my on the edge of my seat turning the pages. I couldn't put down Gone. You have a missing child and a mother not being forthcoming. I figured out who kidnapped Dylan the minute we are introduced to the person. I'm okay with knowing who it is, I keep reading to see if I'm correct and why they did it. Most people won't know who it is till Dan Padavona want's you to. There was a secondary story that was just as interesting. I loved how Dad Padavona brought everything together at the end. I was a little disappointed Scout was not as featured like she usually is, but I understood the reason for it she is growing up and things are changing for her. If this is your first book of the Wolf Lake Series that's okay you don't need the rest of the series, but I would highly recommend the whole series. I voluntarily read an advanced reader's copy.
“Gone”, which is the latest in the Wolf Lake Series, carries on with our familiar group from where they left off in the last book. Several plot lines are in play here. There are twists and turns. It is an enjoyable read and we like the progression of our characters. Looking forward to the next installment.
Another excellent example of fine writing from a gifted storyteller! Love the strong cast of characters (even Jack!), Wolf Lake is as comfortable as the proverbial 'favorite slippers', and the storyline is wildly exciting. Truly a page turner, you'll be hard pressed to set it aside once you start it!
What a great thriller. I love this series and each just improves! The characters are very interesting and you get to know each one. The book would not be the same without their individual input. It is scary and what a non-stop ride throughout! I will be awaiting the next anxiously. Thank you Dan.
This was one crazy case. Or should I say cases. So many things being juggled at the same time made an enjoyable afternoon read. This has been a good series that has a feeling of caring family and friends working together.
As always this book deserves a ten star rating. This is a book in a great series I can't put down. I can't wait for the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book and series. Like I said this is a ten star book and series
a child, dylan, goes missing after a day at a local theme park. his mother was just about to tell sheriff thomas shepherd about her stalker from 6 years prior, when she received a text message stating that if she talks to the police then dylan would be killed. the team knew it was an inside job, but they had a hard time piecing together the evidence to prove exactly who it was.
a secondary plot point is that aguilar’s college roommate, simone unexpectedly shows up. she claims that she and aguilar had a relationship in college, but she actually misconstrued events. simone is so obsessed with aguilar, that she drugs a fruit salad she delivers to the sheriffs office and also drugs aguilar to kidnap her to have a relationship. chelsey is the one who saves the day, and finds out that simone has mental health problems that lead to breakdowns. levar is temporarily deputized and works with lambert to save aguilar. levar talks simone into dropping the knife she held against aguilar when they got caught. levar is going to work part time with the sheriffs department due to his outstanding work and plans to apply for an internship with the BAU!

Robyn Fournette's a 'helicopter' single Mom...paranoid about 6 year old son Dylan's safety...but what justifies that, unexpectedly? Why did she move away from family support? Who's in danger next - and what changes LeVar's life and future career path?
Dan Padavona is Master of the Mystery-Thriller, and expertly ramps up the tension to screaming point while keeping it real, meaning Gone, Wolf Lake #9, is riveting, unputdownable and totally grabs you by the imagination, right to the unpredictable end. Get your copy today and be prepared to read all night - with the doors and windows locked!
This story is every parents worst nightmare come to life. When a child goes missing, presumably kidnapped, everyone's rushing against time to bring him home. With unforeseen complications, hidden agendas, secrets, lies, and betrayals, it's going to be another difficult case for the investigators. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
I'm on Book 9 of this awesome series. I love each and every character. You will too. Each story takes my breath away. The biggest problem I have now is I only have one more book to read. When it's done, where will I go? What will I do? I've lived and breathed Wolf Lake for a week. These people are family to me. This isn't going to be easy. But I do need to show and eat, sometime.
These can be read as stand alone Novels because Dan takes the time to give you the back ground of each character and how the interact with each other. I recommend you read them all. They are that good! In this one they are looking for a kidnapped child. As we all know time is the greatest enemy in the search. The story keeps you turning pages excited to see what comes next. On to book 10 The Bone Forest.
A little boy goes missing, but mom is hiding something. Can Thomas figure out what it is before something happens to the kid? And who is this strange college friend that has shown uo to visit Veronica? Something seems off but with everything else going on, and being short staffed, will Thomas and his crew figure things out in time? Great, fast paced read! Highly recommend
Yet again the same band of characters are into the game of suspense and intrigue. Two sterling plot lines are in play here that twist a few times to a place I did not see coming. Very enjoyable read. I lived how Dan has added to characters to make them mature before your eys. This whole series is delightful read.
A young boy goes missing at a theme park and the Sheriff and his crew loose sleep trying to find him. Chelsey Boyd and Wolf Lake Consulting play a huge role in finding the boy and rescuing Deputy Aguilar. Aguilar gets reacquainted with her old college roommate who’s a deluded psycho. LeVar proves he’s got great instincts for police work and even the FBI takes notice.

Very very good, just as the previous 8 it kept my attention. Two paragraphs and I was hooked. Two very interesting plot lines. A couple of characters made bad choices in my opinion, which only extended the story. Can't wait to see what happens next. On to the next one #10 !!
A single mother loses track of her son at an amusement park, after feeling eyes on them; Aguilar gets a surprise visit from her old college roommate, setting off more drama as this old friend attempts to isolate the deputy from her job and her friends.
Well finished 9 books and they were the best. Dan Padavona seems to be filling up my Kindle and my mind. I love everything so far that I have read. Have already pre-ordered the next book. Try him out. You'll love his writing.
Padavona has a way telling a story that turns into a thriller shortly after the first few words. Pulls me in every time! Reading about the same people and their evolution as time goes, well, it keeps me reading this series! This is a must read!
Gone is a great addition to this exceptional series. Filled with suspense and twists two unfolding storylines will keep you turning the pages. All the characters are well developed including their flaws and strengths.
As usual Padavona knocks it out of the park weaving another nail biter with the usual team of police and private eyes in Wolf Lake! Can't wait to start book 10 !😀
The storylines of two different cases keeps the book moving at warp speed. The characters working together and sometimes on their own allows for different perspectives to fill in the blanks of the cases! Love the series and all the characters!
The gang is all working together again. This time a boy goes missing at an amusement park, his mother’s old stalker has found them again. The stalker threatens the boys safety if she talks to the police. And an old friend visits detective Aguilar.
