Nik I’ve played my part well and kept the truth hidden. But when the beautiful new bartender figures out who I really am, I refuse to back down from something I know we both want.
Lisa He has the power to destroy me, so I tell him I don’t remember what we had. But the chemistry between us is undeniable, no matter how much I try to forget it.

This second chance romance is the fifth in a series of standalones and contains sensitive topics and adult situations. Series reading order: Make Me Forget Show Me How Prove Me Right Tell Me When Remember Me Now Give Me This
The first time Anna tried to read a romance novel, her hair caught on fire when she leaned over a candle to sneak a peek at her mom’s Harlequin. She thinks being hit on the head with a shirtless Fabio until the smoke cleared is what sparked the flame for her love of romance. Anna was born in Wisconsin, but currently lives in Texas with her husband and two boys. She writes sexy romance that always has a happy ending and loves bringing characters back for cameos. Less than six degrees of separation connects any of her novels. When she’s not writing or reading, she’s watching reruns of her favorite romcoms, talking to her dog and cat like they’re human, eating carbs, or practicing hand lettering. She loves to hear from readers and can be found on social media as @annabrooksauth everywhere.
I was absolutely thrilled starting this book. While reading this series you fall in love with Nik. You have a suspicion that something is up with him and Lisa in Tell Me When and me being the person that wants all the Good Guys to get their HEA I was Super Happy.
This book was short but that's ok because we got their back story in previous book's. Learning a little more about their past makes your heart break. But if anything we learned how Anna can put it all back together again.
Nik and Lisa go through alot but in the end Love always wins and this time was no different. This book has nothing lacking but definitely we see everything we have come to love about an Anna Brooks Book.
Enjoy this little Slice of Happy Pie Ladies and trust your heart will be sighing from Happiness... Happy Reading!!!
Loved this glimpse into Nik's world. Having just had his whole world flipped by finding more of his family. A girl walks into his bar and changes even more. His need to be with her, protect her and put her back together is strong. Little does he know she has taken a sort of vow to stay away from men. Having used everyone of them that entered her path in a way to try to make herself forget the pain of losing her husband. Realizing that plan wasn't working she moved and attempted to start over. Enter Nik.
She fought the attraction, settled on friendship and then in a moment all of that went away. The journey to remember, find her way back and realize that she can find love again was a journey I enjoyed fully! Can't wait for more from this author and series.
Nik💘Lisa! Great Story & Audible Listen🎧 Remember Me Now It's Kind of Personal Series #4.5 By: Anna Brooks Narrated by: Nelson Hobbs, Neva Navarre
I am loving this series, Anna Brooks was a new to me author. Thanks to Brandy & Krystyn @AudiobookObsession who introduced me to her work I binge listened to the 1st four books of this series, currently available in Audible’s Romance Package. I highly recommend this series, the characters and their storylines are awesome. Anna Brooks is a talented writer and creator of stories. Each book in the “Its Kind of Personal Series” series can be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone I recommend reading the other books, not only because they are great but because characters from earlier books appear in each book and the main character of this book appeared in earlier books. This is Nik and Lisa’s story, we meet Nik in earlier books, he is the bartender at Kelly’s bar and a good friend of Meara and Pierce. We also met Lisa, a newcomer to town who recently started working at Kelly’s too. The chemistry between them is smoking. But Lisa, a recent widow, afraid of getting hurt again fights it. After an injury she loses her memory and does not remember the bar or Nik. We learned a bit of Nik’s backstory in an earlier book and a surprise twist to learn there is lot more to him then being a bartender. Well done Anna Brooks, well done. Nik does not give up on Lisa as she tries to regain her memory. I think Nik has become my most favorite character in this series, super hot, super alpha with a huge heart. This story is on the shorter side than the others but it still holds plenty of drama, angst and great romance. Anna Brooks, thanks for another great story.
I listened to the Audible edition, I can not five enough praise to Nelson Hobbs and Neva Navarre. They are awesome narrators and voice performers who bring the characters and their story to life. They project the characters emotion and attitude in their performance and add the perfect amount of dramatic flair for you listening pleasure. Thanks for another great listen🎧
Thanks again 🎧AudiobookObsession #AudiobookObsession #AudiobookObsessionReviewer
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel from the first page until the very last. It has been very rare that I have been able to read a book in one day, but I was captivated by these characters instantaneously.
Let me just start off by saying that I have already set an alarm in my phone to remind me to be on the look out for the next book in this series! I absolutely LOVE these novels and the romantic atmosphere that they bring without becoming crude and overbearing. So many times, now-a-days, there are individuals out there quick to write a fast story with too much lust and not enough romance; however, you never have to worry about that when it comes to the It's Kind of Personal series!
Kick back in your chair, dim the lights, make yourself something to drink along with a snack while you join the story of a young woman discovering that maybe love is within her grasp after all. Everyone gives up too easily on relationships but no one ever looks deeper to see why they might have broken in the first place, after 17 years and more guilt placed upon their own shoulders than that of anyone else could ever place upon them; two individuals find out that forgiveness might just can heal the wounds that cannot be brought back from, if only they will allow it. Come and read about a self-reliant young lady finding that not all men are the same, and a young man find out that some women actually do things with their man's best interest in mind! There are some men out there who are just wanting to love and protect their woman and not take advantage of them; there are some women out there who do not want to leave their man when everything they could get from them is gone.
Audio book review This is my first Anna Brooks Audio . I wasn’t disappointed by this audio even though I was told it wasn’t book 1 . The author knows how to draw the listener in till the very end , with all the twists and turns right when you think you have it figured out the story throws you another curve . Hero is Nik. Heroine is Lisa . Lisa is a widow and in order to move on from her husbands death she moves to a new town and now works as a bartender. Nik is also a bartender and has the hots for Lisa but right when the lust is ready to turn into more Lisa loses her memory. It’s an uphill battle for Nik . I did get frustrated over Lisa and how she was treating Nik but at the end you will love it
Both Narrators Nelson and Neva were perfect together. Love how they did the characters. Their voices are strong and sexy
Remember Me Now was a great read by Anna Brooks. Lisa is a widow who has let her grief take hold of her for years. She decides to move away and start new. She wants to remember who she really is and needs new scenery. Nikolas keeps all of his problems inside and won't share them. He meets Lisa at the bar she now bartends at. They have an intense chemistry even though Lisa won't allow herself to be hurt again. Lisa is involved in an accident that takes her memory with him. She doesn't remember Nik but remembers her husband who died. Nik won't give up until she remembers how much they love each other. I loved listening to this audiobook and can't wait to read more by Anna Brooks.
This is book #4.5 in the It’s Kind of Personal series. This is Nik and Lisa’s story. Lisa lost her husband and also lost herself. She moved to a new place to try and get a new start. She met Nik when she went to work in the bar were he was bar tending. She was pushed by a customer and lost her memory. Nik had a hard road ahead but they finally got back together.
This book had a good story line but like one of the others in the series, the ending was hurried and it seemed liked the book was unfinished.
Anna does a brilliant job again although this ones a bit shorter than the others. The books are connected so we have been watching Nik for awhile and needed his story, his hea. Lisa’s past broke my heart and Nik was the only way to heal it. Such a tragic situation but the beauty of watching him never give up makes it all worth it. Another beautiful story!
Nik and Lisas story was a shorter one but thats alright I feel it still gives them a beautiful story. I love how intertwined Nik was with the other characters and how you got to see the true him through other peoples eyes. My heart broke for Lisa having to relieve the worst moment of her life for a second time. Thankfully Nik was there to help her put the pieces together again.
I like the characters, but there was just no reason for the undying and unrequited love Nik felt for Lisa. She was a bitch to him most of the time. What made him fall for her? The missing piece was a big hole in this short story.
I was so glad that Nik got his own book. In the first four books we get a taste of his bad boy side that made me what to read more. I enjoyed this book my favorite so far. Thanks
This would have been a great book but it was so short and most of the things that happened in this book we already read them in the previous books. There was so much more the author could have done with one, but just rushed to get it over with .
Nik quickly became one of my favorite characters in this series. I adore him and love Lisa for him. This small town and group of characters sucked me in and I want more of them. A binge worthy series that needs to be clicked.
Well I guess I need to order the next book,I'm hooked again.to read a book of family and dear friends is like listening to people that care about each other
Lovely feel good sweet romance. There’s a lot going on in this book. Multiple jobs, secrets and past history that wants to come back. Great performance from both Nelson and Neva.
3.5 stars I couldn't wait to read Nik's book and ....I'm a little let down. We get to see what a great guy he is and know his feelings for Lisa but really where was the romance?!?
Nik has lived in this town for a long time. Works at the bar his best friends parents own, and their sister Meara runs. When Meara hires on a girl that immediately catches his eye and snares his heart, he’s lost. He’s also hiding a secret, or two.
Lisa knows Nik is trouble. Trouble for her peace of mind, trouble for her heart. Putting up a frosty exterior to keep him at a distance only works so long. When he kisses her with all the desire, longing, and passion of a man starved, pushing him away again gets harder and harder.
When Lisa loses her memory from a fight in the bar and pulls back from the group and Nik, he’s crushed. Not wanting to push her too hard, Nik keeps his distance as much as he can. But how can you really keep distance when you’ve already fallen in love? Not willing to give up on her, not willing to give up on the one person who was for him. Not as a stand in. He’s tired of being the stand in. He is ready for her to remember him, and when she gives the slightest indication that she does, he’s right there. Lisa suffered the heartbreak of losing her husband, not once but twice. She’s reeling from the emotional impact of Nik himself, and when she starts to remember snippets and then the full brunt of everything crashes back into place. She knows she loves him. Will she give in to her heart though?
It wasn’t what I had initially pictured for this story. But it turned out fantastic. Please read the others before reading this one though. You won’t get a lot of the emotion if you don’t. The author said she wrote this because her fans cried out for Nik to have his own happily ever after. He does deserve it. Could have been a little more… umpf to it though. I wasn’t disappointed, and there were a ton of great moments that made me go, “Oh Nik” *sniffle*, but it felt like there was something missing. Just a little something, not by any means a nonstarter though. Anna did wonderfully with this series. And what a way to complete my reading so far. Now if only we can find out what happens to Declan!
REMEMBER ME NOW (It's Kind Of Personal #4.5) Author: Anna Brooks
REMEMBER ME NOW is book 4.5 in Anna Brooks IT'S KIND OF PERSONAL series. She simply amazes me! I couldn't wait to start this book! Her characters continue to delight me and her stories continue to captivate me. I don't want this series to end. There are so many more interesting characters that need to have their story told.
I fell in love with Nik at the beginning of this magnificent series. I am so glad Anna decided to tell his story. She doesn't hold anything back. Nik has been a secondary character since the first book in the series, but when given a chance he proves he is just as amazing as the other characters. He is a bartender at Kelly's Pub and also the best friend of Meara's oldest brother Declan. Nik is like a brother to Meara, keeping her safe while Liam is on tour. He is a loyal friend to both Declan and Pierce. He is a protector, loyal, sexy as hell, and extremely thoughtful. Nik felt like he might not ever get to experience love and the joy of family. He desperately wanted to find the right woman and settle down like all his friends were.
Lisa was recently hired to work at Kelly's Pub as a bartender so Meara could cut back on her hours. She instantly fit right in with the gang. The attraction between Nik and Lisa was undeniable. She was so beautiful and she took Nik's breath away at first sight. Everyone could feel the sparks flying!
Unfortunately, Lisa had an accident that left her with memory loss. Nik was devastated that she couldn't remember him or what they had between them. He tried to give her time to heal without any pressure, but he became impatient and decided to fight for what he wanted.
Lisa's journey to regain her memory was frustrating and hard, but with Nike's help and support it was worth it.
You will love this series! Please Anna give us more!
Remember Me Now is Book 5 in the It’s Kind of Personal Series. Wow! I just can’t get over this series. I really hope this isn’t the end. I’m sure Declan needs a book. What about Zack?
This story is about Lisa and Nik. If you’ve read books 1 -4 you’ll remember that Lisa is a widow looking for a fresh start. She lands at Kelly’s Bar and becomes a bartender in book 3. An accident at the bar causes Lisa to forget most everything. However before the accident she meets Nik and is scared of her instant feelings of lust and security with him. Lisa is sassy, sassy sassy. She doesn’t take any crap from Nik. They work together at the bar but it takes a little more work for them to be together as a couple. Nik is everyone’s friend. And when he falls for Lisa, he falls hard. When she forgets everything about him, it almost breaks him. “No. You don’t. You have no clue what its like to have someone who, for the first time in your fucking life, made you feel like you were more the just a friend of the family, or muscle to break up a fight, or the third wheel, or the protector when all the ‘real’ brothers or boyfriends were too busy off living their lives…to have her consume every fucking breath, every goddamn living second, for her to forget everything about you. Like you didn’t even exist. That what you shared meant nothing.”
While many of the characters throughout the series are very young adults, the situations they find themselves in shows just how smart they are. They make mistakes and take chances but nothing is earthshattering or unfixable. With a little communication, just like in the real world, many situations could be avoided. Of course where’s the fun in taking the easy route. All of Brooks characters have hope, even on their darkest days. They don’t lose that hope and they fight for what they want. Which makes this series a must read.

Remember Me Now is book 4.5 in the It’s Kind of Personal series by Anna Brooks. I give this book 5 stars. This book picks up the story with Nik. In the fourth book, Tell Me When, we hear a lot about Nik. He learns he has a sister and gets to meet his mom for the first time. Because of the feedback Anna’s fans gave her, she decided a short novel was in order to carry out Nik’s story and boy am I glad she did. Nik is a bartender at Kelly’s Pub. He is best friends with the oldest of the Kelly children, Declan, and has always been considered as part of the family. Now that Meara owns the pub and Liam comes home for good, they decide they need to hire another bartender to help around the place so Meara doesn't have to work as much. Before Meara has time to act on hiring, Lisa walks into the bar and asks about a job. Meara likes her immediately and hires her on the spot. At first, Lisa is mean and rude to Nik but nice to everyone else. Nik learns that she had been married before and her husband died while serving his country. She was being mean to Nik because she realized their immediate connection but did not understand how she could feel that way again and wasn't sure she was ready for that. After an incident at the bar, Lisa loses her memory. As Nik waits for her to recover her memories, he tries to put her out of his mind if only for a little while. Nothing he does can help him accomplish this task. Finally he gets tired of waiting and pursues her full on even though she keeps trying to push him away.
This one sent me on a roller coaster of emotions worse then the others. I dont know why but i felt more connected to the people. After reading 5 books of there lives that will happen to you. Nik is the guy you can run and Lisa is the girl next door. It was perfext that they found each other. In the other books you see glimpses of these 2 and you just know somethong is Brewing underneath the survice. Lisa is a widower with a wild past and because of that past she will do everything to keep Nik at arms length. But with his persistent nature she can see herself start to loose her resolve. "Being a bitch to him was suppose to pich hik away. It was suppose to male him hate me so he'd stop looking at me like he wants more. And now that he's doing excactly that I'm regretting my rediculous behavior." Lisa
Nik knows he has a battle before him, but lisa is what he wants. He knows she feels the spark between them. And when hos life is thrown upside down and secrets come out she is the only one he wants to run to to make it better. When a situation happens and she loses her memory Nik knows it will be an even harder battle to win her heart. "She may be fighting this, but im not. I gave her time, and she damn well knows who I am and what i am to her, what she is to me... what we are to each other. It was rediculous before playing these stupid games, but I'm done." Nik
I hope you loved these books as much as i did. They are quick emotional reads that bring to life real issuses that people and relationships go through.
I truly wanted this story to go on forever! Remember Me Now is book 5 in the It’s Kind of Personal series by Anna Brooks and while it shorter, it packs a serious punch! The last two books have been preparing us for this explosive love story between two characters that we’ve been getting to know. Anna sure knows how to write to keep us on the edge of our seats the entire book and Remember Me Now is no different!
Nik is…..sexy. He’s alpha, protective, intense and fiercely loyal. He is a man I would never want an as enemy, but as a lover? YES PLEASE! His intensity and bluntness make me hot. His past, his present, his job and life have really shaped the man his is and he couldn’t be better! Lisa is just inspiring. We get our first glimpse of Lisa in a book that’s actually not even related to this series. But she makes an appearance there and I’m SO excited we get to know her. What a terrible thing this woman has had to overcome, yet she is dealing with it the best she can…which, in my opinion, is awesomely! She does her absolute best to resist the bad boys, but even she can’t stay away from Nik, and thank goodness she can’t because their passion for each other is HOT! Watching these two work their way towards each other was seriously exciting and had my pulse racing every single page.
Drama, love, sexiness, friendship all rolled into one incredibly awesome short read. You’re going to love it!
