A beautiful recounting of the journey from a fellow traveller. Two things matter in life: who you are and where you are.
I've already taken the advice to heart from the introduction of this book, and nothing has ever made me happier. It's good to have a reminder of why we do it and how precious the next generation is.
It's better to regret something that you have done, than something that you didn't.
An excellent book of the author’s sociopolitical philosophy that reads like a hero’s journey. From the perspective of the protagonist and narrator’s silent companion “The Rider” who acts as the readers stand in on this journey. It’s a well written novel that’s deep in meaning and allegory, that acts like a beacon of hope towards the meta commentary to our decaying Western Civilization today, and a bulwark to nihilism.
I found this book to be extremely confusing because of the way it was written. Almost old fashioned, yet modern? Every time I thought I was beginning to understand it, I would get confused again Couldn't tell you the end purpose of this book... Maybe if it were written differently I'd actually like it as I could maybe understand it. Or maybe I'm just dumb
