I'm invisible on campus. A girl nobody would look at twice. Broke, but desperate to break out of my shell, I've agreed to take in a roommate. A girl named Casey. Except, turns out Casey isn't a girl at all. He's the hottest guy I've ever seen. Now I'm living with a guy for the first time in my life, and I want him so bad it hurts. Problem is, so does every other girl on campus.
Casey
At Gulf Coast University there are winners and, well, everyone else. I'm a winner. Star quarterback. Ladies' man. I can have any girl I want. Almost any girl. My shy, nerdy roommate is not only NOT MY TYPE, but she's off limits as well. Sleeping with Abigail would screw up this whole living arrangement. So would revealing everything I've worked so hard to hide.
the ending .. what the fuck? He already suspected she was a virgin but now that she finally said it out loud it’s an issue? AND WHY DID IT END LIKE THAT? up until the ending I was actually not hating the book, but that ending was like expecting a spoon full of sugar but it’s actually salt and ruins everything

this was short and left on a cliffhanger but honestly, I felt that their story could've easily fit into one book, not drag it out to other books. But whatever. In the end, it was alright.
I solely picked this up because I was reading a book with the exact same title, and it was very short....that being said, it was ok for what it was but nothing earth shattering.
ewww. the novel was such a cliché. the stereotypical populair jock and the nerdy girl that wants to change. the way the male main character talked about woman🤢. i would NOT recommend this.
Bad times three and I hate to give bad reviews. The ending was just not good at all and I had to force myself to finish the last chapters. Spoiler! he literally just says “oh you a virgin… nah” and that’s it The End. I mean if it was a series ok I guess but they don’t connect. Bad start to 2023 and I read it cause it’s free on Apple Books. (For obvious reasons bc I would rather be put on a stake than buy this book) Sorry author I’m sure you have better books or I have a specific taste bc this was not it for me! 😐
L.O.L. Okay she hooked me. I read it on a whim so that when I was done reading my October scary book for the night I could read something “fun” to avoid spooky dreams. This is 200 pages of sexual tension and I need the second book. 🤣🤣
I didn’t add this on my Goodreads but my text messages reminded me that I did read this. So I’m retroactively completing my reading challenge from last year. The vibes from my messages were that this book sucks but I’ll just show you the messages and you can decide for yourself.
I just started reading this book and the main guy is a college football player and it is very obvious that the author does not know anything about college sports because she said they just won the state championship.
Also coastal gulf university also has the best chance of winning the national championship this year so make sure that is in your brackets.
Okay this guy is apparently lifting an appalling amount of weight at over 100 lbs. They said it's a record what he just did.
That was all I apparently had to say, but I think it is telling about the level of effort that went into the research for the book.
This was one of the worst books I've ever read....what could have been done well was just NOT and don't get me started on all the typos/misspellings. The male lead was an obnoxious womanizer and the way he talked about women was disgusting. The chemistry between the leads was written pretty well but the book ends with him telling her he can't do anything more with her because she's a virgin. So many times I almost added this to my DNF list and I wish I had. Don't waste your time with this one.

Abigail is a nobody. She is invisible, an enigma, an unknown on campus. She is a student on scholarship and spends all her time studying trying to keep her grades up. She can’t afford to let them slip. Well, that’s the problem, she can’t afford anything. She inherited the house she lives in from her grandmother but lost her job. She can’t afford gas for her car, food for the house, or the stacks of bills sitting in her mailbox. She needs a roommate and fast, luckily she found one in Casey, a girl she hadn’t met in person, but seems to be decent and just what she needs.
Except Casey isn’t a girl at all. He’s the hottest guy Abigail has ever seen, and he’s on the football team. After some convincing, she agrees to let him become her roommate and to say it’s awkward is an understatement. He doesn’t tell her the full truth, that the reason he needs to stay there is because he slept with a girl who had a boyfriend. Casey is the biggest playboy on campus, he wouldn’t look twice at a girl like Abigail, but that doesn’t stop her from looking at him. Navigating the precarious arrangement, the duo set up some rules and have silently agreed that the other is off-limits, but that line starts to blur the longer they share a house.
Review:
I don’t really have much to say about this book. It was okay. It had an interesting plot and I was excited at the sexual tension between Abigail and Casey. I think the author did an amazing job at balancing the want for the other and building up to the point where they throw the inhibitions to the wind and just get together. But there lies my problem, the book feels unfinished. Just when things start to get good the book is ending. I think the author messed up by making this a trilogy instead of a decent sized stand alone novel. I won’t be continuing but I think this could for sure be up someone’s alley!
Lexy Timms' "The Roommate," independently published on November 3, 2021, proves to be a thrilling rollercoaster of emotions that captivates from start to finish. The plot revolves around Abigail, a seemingly invisible girl on campus, who takes in a roommate named Casey. Little does she know that Casey, contrary to expectations, is the hottest guy she's ever seen, sparking a series of events that are as spicy as they are heart-wrenching.
The reviewer expresses sheer adoration for the book, using the word "loooooooved" to convey the depth of their enjoyment. The narrative is commended for its ability to seamlessly blend elements of spice, sadness, and past trauma, creating a rich and engaging story. The mention of a sexy man falling in love adds a layer of romance that resonates with readers.
However, the review takes an unexpected turn as the plot twists, revealing a 180-degree shift that leaves the reviewer's heart on the floor. The use of the word "rude" playfully conveys the emotional impact of the unexpected turn of events. This indicates a level of emotional investment in the characters and their journey, showcasing the author's ability to surprise and captivate.
The anticipation for the next two books in the Roommate Wanted series is palpable in the closing statement. The reviewer's eagerness to continue the journey with these characters speaks volumes about the effectiveness of the storytelling and the desire to unravel the unfolding drama.
In conclusion, "The Roommate" earns a well-deserved 5 star rating for its ability to deliver a powerful mix of emotions, a captivating plot, and characters that leave a lasting impression. Lexy Timms' series promises an exciting and emotional ride that readers won't want to miss.
Please don’t judge me guys. It was free on Apple Books and oceanofpdf stopped working… I just needed something to read and unfortunately I chose this.
This is the WORST piece of literature I have ever read for multiple reasons. Not only is it the most basic, cliche, BORING storyline possibly imaginable, but to make matters worse the grammar is TERRIBLE. The misuse/lack of commas genuinely sent me into deep despair, I wish I was joking. If you told me a 9 year old had written this I’d believe you without a question. The vocabulary is so primitive it’s quite concerning.
The ending wasn’t even a let down because in order for that to be true, you need to have high expectations in the first place. After reading the first page I already knew what was coming. Please don’t question why I continued because I really don’t know either.
A great read for the most of the book. I liked the will they won’t they thing. But the ending is the absolute worst. I felt like I wasted my time reading this book. I think most of us agree that we want the MC’s to get it on before the end of the book. It’s a sexy romance after all, but this doesn’t have that. We get a heavy make out scene that ends in a weird way. I understand leaving a book on a cliffhanger. I’m all for that. I will buy the next book of a series because the previous book had a cliffhanger. It’s a great marketing strategy but this isn’t that. This is like buying a book about cats and not having any cats in the book. All in all I’ll give the book 2 stars because I did like the story. Hated the ending.

there were a few moments in here that were very my thing in terms of forced proximity and mutually “unrequited” crushes but overall … very mystifying. the narrative obsession with “popularity” was so high school; the social stratification (at least the way it was executed) was equally juvenile. also, what is up with this whole trio of books abt the same couple trend, i want to scream!! just as we’re getting to actual Developments you end on such an obviously inflammatory line?? i mean looking at the rest of the series i’m glad i’m not sucked in for what’s coming, but gosh!!!! anyway it was free and i regret the like hour and a half i spent reading.
Just an absolute no. Please don't waste your time on this book. I thought it would have been a cute quick read but I should have read the reviews first and wouldn't have wasted my time. The only reason why I did not DNF it was because it was so short.
The whole “I’m so different from the popular crowd” girl and how she didn’t know that he was the star quarterback for their school that recently won the national championship???? Gag me. She’s a pick me. Possibly would have rated it two stars if it wasn’t for the fact that even thought he lusted over her the ENTIRE book and as soon as they were fixing to have sex, he said he couldn’t because she was a virgin even though he already knew that??? Absolutely horrible ending.

I think I enjoyed this book, it was maybe a little cheesy or corny. But I enjoyed it. I managed to read the whole thing in less than a day.... But please for the love of God, if it ends on a cliffhanger that leads into the option for another book DO NOT add "the end" I dead ass thought the ending was the conclusion... I think there's another book?? I never looked into it because I was SOOO devastated by the ending. I think the bunkmate, and flatmate is the continuation but like I assumed they were different stories because it's different ways of saying the same thing. One day maybe I'll pick up book two but at this point I can't...
First off this is one of the cutest books I’ve read in a hot second. My heart broke for my wallet when I reached the end. I must buy the second book immediately. I fell in love with the main male character. I related to the MFC on a whole new level. I’ve never really read a book where that happened. I was able to shove the rest of the whole aside and dove deep into the book. The author truly brought together an amazing book.
