Wow, so this is how great romantic harem-focused court drama stories can be if the author isn't a raging misogynist?

I can't believe how enthralled I am by this book. The women in the harem are kind to each other. The emperor is a decent person. The main character is also amazingly complex. They sound and act like products of their era, without giving into a lot of the toxic peer pressure of the court life. I mean don't get me wrong, it's all still melodramatic but it isn't a cringey type of melodrama. This is actually excellent writing.

I'd say something about how I'm missing out on this genre but since this is a niche queer series, it probably is a once-in-a-blue-moon situation and most court drama stories are probably as misogynistic and bigoted as before.

i honestly dont know why i didnt finish this. i think it was because of the harem plot. im not a fan of thr emperor x concubines trope. but i appreciate that all the female characters like the concubines and the empress weren’t characterized as these evil jealous women when in reality they just want to live a safe life. i also liked the mc and the angst was good. i just didnt have to energy to continue reading after chapter 80

Me gustó pensé que iba ser la típica historia donde hay conflicto tipo guerra pero no toda la premisa giro en torno al palacio y no había un villano al cual vencer lo que estuvo muy bien verdad.
La Emperatriz wow era increíble quiero ser como ella XD me encontró su personaje.
El final realmente no me gustó pero es porque no sé qué pasó con los personajes secundarios como con el amigo quien sabe que pasó con él.

Encontré esta historia por qué acaban de estrenar el manga la verdad no sé si es chino o coreano por el estilo de dibujo pero espero que lo adapten la novela sin cambiarle mucho.
