Everyone calls him Slick, but I was raised in a home where everything was proper. Sean and I meet in an odd place, under dire circumstances, so nobody would ever expect what happened…to happen…but it did. A rock star and a psychologist seem like an impossible match. And it is. That’s why I have to leave, before everything is ruined. I can’t be with him for so many reasons, as much as every cell in my body says that it’s right. Evidently, he agrees that we should be together, since he leaves breadcrumbs for me…but will they lead me back to him?
She can’t even say my name. With a name like Slick, one expects some surfer-type, with nothing between his ears and a stake where his heart should be. Listen to my music and you’ll see. I’m somewhere between not much and kinda something, you know? But Doc, she’s…something else. The way she handled things on the roof that night…If it weren’t for one thing, she’d be mine. That one night. I should have done it differently. Then she’d still be here. But I can’t take it back…or…can I?
…and just when we think we’re past danger, just when I think that the band has it all, and that I’ve got Doc, too, an unexpected person walks in, and I know that we’re back to square one again. Rock star romance Medical romance Suicide Medium heat Smoking Swearing Cliffhanger ending
Sandra has been writing poems and short stories since middle school, and writing full length, self-published novels since 2010, using several pen names.
Writing full-length steamy romance series has quickly become a love for this author. Her stories have elements of humor, family issues, suspense and personal growth. Her books take the reader right into the bedroom with the characters to feel the same intensity as the lovers do in the story. Sandra's goal is to have the reader rooting for the main couple...and she doesn't disappoint.
You'll find this author working out weekday mornings at ungodly hours. She's gluten and dairy free, and is probably the only person on earth who doesn't do coffee or chocolate.
Her favorite movie is Bohemian Rhapsody, her favorite tv shows are Friends and The Connors. She's also a die-hard Rocky fan and has read the Fifty Shades trilogy and watched the movies more times than she cares to admit.
Sandra is married with two daughters and is a lover of all things four-legged, including her own two furbabies.
The Ford Brothers series focuses on five swoon-worthy brothers who each served in the military, and lost their billionaire father suddenly, which left them to run his airline after his death. Each book features one brother, but they make appearances in all five novels. In case you haven't guessed, the titles in the Ford Brothers series have been inspired by hazard warning signs, an idea the author came up with after completing a health and safety course prior to starting the series.
The Miles for Love series is about unexpected love, and it features the Lynch family; four brothers and one sister, who are each passionate, imperfect, and are just like you and I...but way sexier and with much more interesting lives. They are very individual and each have a unique story to tell.
The Rock Star Romance series is inspired by the death of Eddie Van Halen on October 6, 2020. It is a standalone series unlike any other this author has written. Look for this series! It's available now!

This is the first time reading this author and I devour anything rockstar related so when I had the chance, I had to get right on it. I’m really glad that I did because I loved the interaction between Slick and Doc. Who would have thought that a lead singer in a rock band and a psychologist would even be a thing?
Now I found another rock author to follow because I really fell for this book. I’m making it a point to go back and read Dreams the first book in this series and I can’t wait for Secrets to come out next.
**Spoiler alert**Thank you to Sandra Alex for providing me with an ebook advanced reader copy of Jump for me to read and review. This is yet another one of Alex's books that I flew through so fast as I did not want to put it down! The fast pace of the story was set from the very first page. There was excellent, gradual character development shown throughout the book! The chemistry between the main characters was off the charts! This book does include situations involving mental health and suicide, and I felt that Alex did a wonderful job of portraying these in a very real but respectful manner, while promoting seeking help if you find yourself struggling with your mental health. The cliffhanger at the end has left me with many questions and I can't wait to read the next book in the series to see where the story is going to go next!

In this story I’m not sure who it’s about yet. There’s the stalker, Slick, Roxy and Jett. Now there’s also the psychologist, Dr Barry. It’s clear soon enough that it’s Slick’s story but because of the ending of book one you’re not sure, which is kind of cool the way it’s done. I read book three first, Secrets and it was so good I had to go back and pick up book one and two. I love the way the author adds characters from each book, there are two bands. Even with the over use of the word “man” which I found distracting, it’s a really good story. Yeah Ray is a doctor and Slick is a Rockstar but they fall in love and they’re adorable together. This story is short, sweet and romantic. I’m giving it five stars and highly recommend it. Now I can’t wait for book four.
This is the story of Dr. Barry and Sean, Doc and Slick. He is a rock star and she is a psychologist. They are thrown together and seem to hit it off. This story deals with some issues that might trigger some, but it was handled in a very caring manor. They are meant to be together but their differences could keep them apart. This is an entertaining story and is the second book in the series. So far so good. The characters are wonderful and interact together in a natural manor. The chemistry is there and the story flowed.

This is book two in The Big Band, Big Hearts series and it is Slick and Doc's story. Wow I absolutely loved this book and I couldn't put it down and had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next. Slick and Doc are the total opposite of each other in every single way but they just seem to click perfectly together and you find yourself hoping that they can find there way back to each other and have the happy ending that they both deserve. I definitely recommend you read this book and series and you will not be disappointed.
Book 2 of the Big Band, Big Hearts series is centered around lead singer Slick and psychologist Dr. Barry aka Doc. It grabs you from the beginning, when Slick is handed something from a fan while performing, to the very end. Doc and Slick are brought together under troubling circumstances and their story is both touching and exciting. Ms. Alex takes us through a tragic incident with grace and dignity. Yes, there is a cliffhanger but I would refer to it as more of a tease to what's next in this rock and roll world.
Slick (Sean) and Doc (Ray) are the most unlikely pair, thrown together in a moment of tragedy. It'll never work; they're just too different. I love how Slick pushes her. The beginning of this book includes someone with mental issues and her suicide, and the author deals with this in a considerate and respectful manner. I love the interactions between Slick and Doc, with the undeniable sparks. The book was amazing, and I think that this is my new favorite series from this author. I really enjoy Sandra Alex's 80's rock star romances. Jump is Slick's story, the second book of the Big Bands, Big Hearts series. He's the front man for his band and Ray is a psychologist with whom he bonds after meeting under some tragic circumstances. That bond develops into an attraction but Slick is going to have a lot of work convincing Ray to give them a chance because she doesn't see herself fitting into his world at all. I like the characters and their romance is a bit bumpy but entertaining. I enjoyed it a lot.
I am voluntarily reviewing an advance reader copy of this book.
Psychologist Doc meets Slick at a traumatic time and helps work through it in a great way. A forbidden like allure sets off between them as he tries to make a relationship work. Loved the characters, the backstories and determination. The storyline is a roller coaster ride of emotion, drama, intrigue, surprises, steam and much more. Great ending the primes you for the next band member story. Can not wait. Totally enjoyed the series so far.

Sandra has this genre down pat. This book, along with the other rock star books that she has written, are all nice easy reads. You can just sit back and slink into a guaranteed good book.
Jump was no different. The story line, characters, pace and steaminess, were all really good. Right tempo throughout the book.
What more could you ask for really.
I received this book from the author and have voluntarily leaving an honest review.
You need to have read Dreams as the action swaps immediately from book to book with a gradual switch of view points. It wasn't the plot I expected at all but works really well. My only disappointment is waiting 3 months for Secrets to be released.

This is my absolute favourite genre rockstars, bands etc and this is Slick’s and Doc’s story, who would believe that a rockstar and a psychologist would make a great couple I will let you find that out for yourself. This is an exciting and entertaining story that ends on a cliffhanger and I highly recommend this book it’s well worth the read.
This was an interesting story for me. I felt all the excitement was right at the beginning and then it just coasted along.
I enjoyed it and the characters very much. Watching them come together was a treat and warmed the heart. It just seemed to me that there should have been more drama or angst when Doc was having to deal with her father and Roxie.
Slick is a rock star. Doc is a psychologist. They come from different worlds, but one night, their worlds collide. Can these two make it work out? This engaging story will keep you reading all night.
