The ball had been underway for about an hour before he caught his first glimpse of her. Granger was standing across the dancefloor, with her back to him, engaged in conversation with Potter and some higher-up from the Ministry, her wild curls making her instantly recognizable. She was wearing a golden evening dress – like the Gryffindor queen that she was – a Muggle fashion that showcased her curves. Even from behind, without seeing her face, she was practically stopping his heart she was so gorgeous. And then she turned around and he thought his heart might have actually stopped for a moment.

Summary:

Seriously, if you love fluff and a soft Draco, read this! It’s a short and sweet story that gives you all the feels.
I'm writing this review a month after reading, so I don't remember all the specifics, but I loved the overall story, especially Draco's struggle with proving himself and dedication to Hermione and the baby. There is some angst because Hermione isn't very forgiving or willing to give Draco a second chance, but it's so apparent how much they love one another but are afraid of getting hurt again. My heart just squeezes thinking about it! All I can really tell you is that you should read it ASAP!

Then he breaks off the engagement and leaves house of Malfoy and tries to win back hermione. It takes time and until Cassiopeia’s first birthday before they decide to try again. HEA

I HATED this book. Every chapter annoyed me. It would have been more interesting if Lucius got to Avada Hermione.
Hermione is an annoying b*tch with the biggest self-righteous victim complex. 🤮
Hermione is the biggest hypocrite in this book. Hermione does not verbalize what Draco means to her. Hermione tells Draco she wants to keep their relationship secret. Hermione doesn’t introduce Draco to her world. After two years of this BS, he decided to honor his pure blood duty, and enter into an arranged marriage. He tells Hermione this and she’s pissed. Does she fight for him? No. Does she tell him she is pregnant and wants to have a family with him? No. Does she have a mature adult conversation about the future? No. She goes batshit crazy. She wants from Draco want she’s not willing to do herself. It’s so mental. She’s upset that Draco didn’t reach out for months and punishes him for it. Did she reach out to him?
They both screwed up. Playing victim isn’t helpful.
She’s toxic asf. Can you imagine if Draco said “Pansy hates you and wants to beat you up. She’s going to be at our baby’s baby shower and yell at you”? It’s not acceptable right? So why is it okay for Hermione to do that to Draco?
NO ONE is allowed their children to punish someone. Mothers AND fathers have every right to be apart of their children’s like (unless otherwise determined by the courts). Everyone with their child was gatekept by Hermione. You can’t exclude/include a father based on your romantic relationship.
Hermione was outraged because Theo was kind enough to buy her a breast pump? If someone buys you an expensive gift say thank you. This b*tch has issues. Please send her to the psych ward.
Draco just let’s Hermione walk all over him. Wet blanket.

Ah.. this one was not for me.. I really couldn’t look past the fact that Draco found Hermione good enough to screw around with for YEARS while silently okaying his parents’ active efforts to find him a pure-blooded wife. And dumping Hermione when he did find a suitable pure blooded wife. And hypocritically, keeping this pure blooded fiancée in the dark too. Basically, playing both women. And finally changing his tune only when Hermione turns up pregnant….
So, if not for the pregnancy, then this guy would have continued on as-is, right? I mean, he now wants Hermione only because of the baby.. without it, nothing would have compelled him to go back to her.. I hate such stories where the baby is the main reason to get back together. Anyway, I couldn’t connect with this version of Draco and DNFed this story pretty quickly.
Giving it 2 stars.

It's a 3.5 stars. Super cute and fast read, writing style is sometimes giving me the ick but it's honestly not that bad. Draco is a wuss and it's nice that he gets to grovel till the end. I don't even know if I'm still hung up on Secrets and Masks but I miss the heaviness of the plot and the seriousness of the characters or is this fic just too cheesy? I'm so not used to Astoria being a bitch. Also not used to Draco being like... that... is he out of character? I think he's out of character here, but it's still cute so I'll take it 🤷♀️

I loved it. The things that Draco did after finding out Hermione was pregnant with their child. Just to prove that he loved her even after leaving her. I loved the ending and the part where he talks to their child while still in hermiones belly.

This one was okay… I felt like Draco’s personality was a bit off. & I didn’t love that miscommunication started their issues, but then they continued to not talk about their thoughts and feelings until the very end.

It was a lovely story. Interesting how the author let it all play until the end to get the HEA. How miscommunication can lead to a two year dry spell for two persons who really love one another,yet are hurting.

4.5 ⭐️: I was looking for pregnancy trope Dramione and while it didn’t quite unfold as I hoped the ending made up for it. Great writing. I’m once again very impressed by these amazing fan fic authors who create stories for us.
