Now that I've claimed my wolf, my clan, and my kingdom, it's only a matter of time before the slave trade crumbles.
My mates want me to be their Queen. The Wilds want me as their Alpha. While fate has preordained one, the other is a lie I'll never tell. But when my mates finally learn where my power comes from, I'm left with only three.
Nor, the large, jovial man suffering in silence. Ronan, the stoic sweetheart who can make my skin flame with a single look. Oberyn, the trickster psycho whose sole purpose in life is to see me smile… even if that means slaughtering our enemies on my behalf.
Heartbroken over a fiery beta who can’t handle the truth of what I am, I won’t let his rejection stop me from destroying my enemies and taking back what’s mine. Only, the slavers aren't ready to roll over and play dead just yet. It seems I have my work cut out for me.
With an old enemy looming, I'm running out of options. If I don't finish this soon, I might never see my baby brother again.
But what am I willing to give up to do what’s right? Would I sacrifice the men I’ve grown so attached to in order to save my people, or will I give up everything I’ve built for love?
They Call Me Beast continues the epic fantasy romance trilogy where the heroine won't have to choose between her wolves.

Soft ending, no "tear my hair out, heart stomped on" cliffhanger energy.
Swallowing her fear of being rejected, Cinna reveals to her mates that she has demon blood. Kade, (sigh), runs away all of 2 seconds later. This turns out to be an important decision, as wrong as it seems, and sets in motion a disturbing series of events. (Not to me because seriously, bloodthirsty Cinna is my favorite so far).
Unaware that Kade has been kidnapped and has not just flat out abandoned their bond, the remaining mates, Cinna and all wolf clans except fire move forward to complete numerous successful raids against the beastkin traffickers. We find out that some of the people in charge are beastkin (they earned what they got).
Immediately following the raids, Cinna and her mates travel to the fire kingdom to confront Kade. During their visit, they find out that Zandrir (disgusting excuse of a father to Kade) has been selling his own wolves to Vetrize, an elf.
Vetrize is revealed to be a previous tormentor to Cinna and then kidnaps her and Nor. During their captivity, they meet some new people who provide help in their escape. Bloodthirsty Cinna shows up and rocks my world by killing everyone. I am positively gleeful about this because...fkthem.
During a quick trip to the capital to meet with the Beast King and follow a lead on Cassian, we learn the identity of the Golden Lion and lemme just say....I hope book 3 is a bloodbath (because again, fkthem).
Based on the name of the series, I'm wondering if we will see Cinna go all Alpha of Alphas on ALL of the beastkin and not only on wolves. I'm also wondering if we'll get to see the demon that saved her in book 1 again.
Anyyyywaay, enough of my ramblings. I'm happy enough to ride along for the conclusion, maybe full of sugar and sprinkles. I'm a sucker for sickly sweet, big happy family ending vibes.
Last minute thoughts: 📌It's a SLOW, SLOW, SLOW burn because of past trauma for FMC. 📌No MM but it seems like maybe there could be a little something something between two of the MMCs in a future book. 📌Multi-POV 📌I need more Doran because uhhh, cute-cutes!
This was book two to this new series. It was a nice continuation to the first book. Cinna and her men go through plenty of adventures that are dangerous and interesting. There were some editing needs throughout the book, here and there, but nothing so drastic that it takes away from the book.
Cinna as a FMC is pretty likable. I'm excited to see how she progresses with her abilities and her men.
That ending was definitely a good one. It was one of those cliffhangers that makes you want to throw the kindle across the room because of how the book ended.
This picks up right where book one left off. It’s nonstop action and intrigue from that point on! Cinna and her mates grow closer as they work together to bring down the slave trade, and there are some very sweet moments sprinkled throughout the action. The world-building continues to be impressive as it expands, and book three is going to be AMAZING.
They Call Me Beast, the second book of the Rise of the Beast Queen series, is an ebook I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). If you're not one for violence and bloodshed done with reckless abandon because Cinna and her men are apologetically brutal. It's a fun ride and the characters, while occasionally making dumb mistakes, are entertaining.
Oof, book two does NOT pull the punches. Just when things are looking up, here comes another curve ball. This whole book is non-stop and you’re not going to want to put it down. The cliffhanger—I’d figured it out shortly before I got to the end, but oh, I can’t wait to see what happens next. This series is amazing.
This book and this series are just incredible! I love the characters, and how the story keeps surprising me. The ending was a bit of a shock, even with the clues. I can't wait to read Bow to the Queen.
So this was a DNF at like 80ish percent. I was bored and nothing interesting was happening. Plus the "character development" was forced and flat. Definitely not reading book 3, or possibly anything else by this author.
This is the second time I have read this series and I still enjoyed it as much as the first time. Now, I am really hoping for the next book! Please , please let that be soon😇
Each book in the series so far is full of adventure. They are a fun read. Each character was thought and complement eaxh other. I am enjoying this series so far.
amazing, i love this! I don´t even care that there isn't any spicy scenes, considering how good the plot and characters are going along. I love Cinna, she stands up for herself and people weaker than her but still very protective of her mates. I feel as Kade really grew as a person in this book, and stop pulling away from the group. I would love to see more of Oberynn, considering he is the omega and she is the alpha is just such a fascinating turn of events. In view of the regular alpha and omega relationship. I feel as we got to see Nor a bit more in this book, he who can be a bit jokster. It was great to see his rage for Cinna. Ronan didn't say a lot in this book, but we got to know his story in the last. I love that he has a son, also a interesting turn of events. I would mind it if it go a bit spicy in the next book, i dont think the pacing or development are bad. I just feels like the next book is the perfect time for the mates and Cinna to reconnect after everything.
SPOILER ALERT!
I really hope we get to see Cinnas brother, and that he isn't to traumatized. I would really love a reunion. I was wondering were the demon went that gave her the blood were, i hope we get to see him some more also. But 5/5 coundt put it down!!
