In ‘Sharing Jill’, Jill and I (Dave) told the story of how we’d succumbed to the seductive arguments of our friends Callan and Charlotte, and how we’d dipped our toes in the swinger lifestyle. How it had caused our lives and marriage to eventually spin wildly out of control through Jill’s affair with her handsome boss Chris.
In the end our marriage experienced a near death experience, causing Jill and I to fight like hell to slowly put our marriage back together – piece by piece, talk by talk. Slowly rebuilding trust as Jill learned to cope with the end of the sex and emotional closeness she’d enjoyed with her boss.
After the harsh lessons of our dabbling in The Lifestyle, Jill and I were determined to turn the clock back and re-establish our old and safe ways of living and loving. Looking forward to enjoying a quieter summer.
But despite having the best of intentions, that Spring and Summer showed us that life still had plenty of surprises for us. That once you’ve eaten of the tree of temptation, life will carry on offering you new and dangerous opportunities. Opportunities that, even after a near death experience, might prove too tempting to resist.
I was going to describe this as a 5 star rollercoaster but it’s not. It’s worse. It’s a runaway bobsled going down into the dark unknown in a hurry. This story grabs your heart and continues to squeeze ever harder the entire way through.
Dave is a fool? Well he’s an addict that’s for sure. He is hooked and needs to just stop and stay out of temptation. He can’t. He doesn’t have any support. His supposedly loving wife Jill should see the signs and try to help him but she is too selfish IMHO.
There is no doubt Dave loves Jill with all his heart. He is willing to give up everything and his sanity to make her happy. A real first class husband who gets very little back from Jill. She is so disrespectful.
I believe Jill every time she says she loves Dave. I see why he believes it. She deeply believes it herself and is very convincing. Unfortunately her actions don’t agree with that statement. If she really cared for Dave she would come home more often and not continuously take from Dave and her marriage. She would come home and praise Dave for what he gives her and see where the limits are. Sometimes it’s best to not always tell the unvarnished truth. She doesn’t care.
Dave and mail will not survive if they continue to get in bed with the unsavory people they have found in their life.
This is a great story… very emotional. Makes me angry at times. Makes me sad a lot of the time. Very dark and depressing.
Peter is an amazing storyteller for sure. But this book borders on being rediculous. Way too long for starters. It got that way by constant repetition. The same conversations filled with angst and self loathing then on to how much they loved each other. Over and over. I know this sounds weird but the sex scenes were too long and completely over the top rediculous. Jill, the wife, was a complete whore and slut. Then she would profess her love for Dave, the husband, declaring he was the love of her life. Completely incongruous and unbelievable. Jill is a totally unlikeable character. She isn't a loving caring wife and mother who sometimes has some slutty behavior but rather a total slut who masquerades as an intelligent professional and mother of three. Sorry Peter but what were you trying to do with this story. And whatever it was you could have done it with a third of the words. Hank
Book 2 of the Sharing Jill trilogy…. I do enjoy longer and more developed hotwife/cuckold stories and this one is quite long. While I enjoyed it, it would have been better-if it was about 25% shorter. It was just a bit too repetitive for my taste to rate it at 5 stars. But I do enjoy seeing the character development and look forward to book 3.
I took a 'couple of books' break between book two and the start of this series. I thought that the first book really stood alone and the second book had to go in a totally new direction. It did and it didn't. The interracial storyline brings a new dimension and level of energy to the story. I am really not sure what gene this series belongs in Hotwife, Cuckold, swingers, or Poly-relationship. If you're looking for the standard Hotwifing\Cuckold format you're going to be disappointed. But if you are willing to let the story touch multiple kinky relationship boundaries, I think you will enjoy the ride.
I like the imagery the interracial storyline adds to the story. The sex scenes read a little hotter and rougher in this book than in the last book. Of course, the story relies on a rich and experienced sexuality explorer to drive the story forward with high def and perfectly positioned camera and almost every room the characters use. And there is plenty of manufactured (cuck) angst with an equal amount of pleaded devotion and unending love. I cannot fault the development of characters.
One drawback of this book is the storyteller. In the last book, and maybe within the first five chapters, the narrator switched from Dave to Jill, which sorta builds an expectation. This book is written almost entirely from Dave's point of view. I would really like to have Jill's POV several times near the end of the book. Also, I realized this is erotica, not real-life or therapy, but I have trouble with the continued use of the storyline of a cuck being able to develop relationships with ladies, who previously had had relationships with the same man or type of man, he is worried about stealing his wife way. If he can satisfy these ladies, why couldn't he expect to satisfy his own wife who loves him?
This is a great story and very well done. If you’re interested in Hotwifing +/or Cuckolding, then you should read this book, after you have finished the first book of the series.
If you’re not interested in either one, then you HAVE to read it. What is so good about it is that it emphasizes the psychological aspects and quandary that you can be left with.
Don’t get me wrong, the sex is great. However too many stories about the subject tell good sex, but miss the stress that it can bring. This does it all.
The ending is nice but leaves open the possibility of a third book. I sure hope he takes it up.
