It all seemed so simple back then. It was just Joe, Mom and I in our crappy little house in our even crappier Tacoma neighborhood. Mom worked herself to the bone just to keep us fed and a roof over our heads, but it was never enough. All I had was my guitar and a dream behind my naive eyes.
Then there was Violet, my neighbor and the girl I'd secretly loved for years. The moment she looked at me and didn't stare right through me was the best day of my life. That was when I started believing that, maybe dreams do come true.
Only problem is, when you're on cloud nine and living it up, it's a hella long way to fall.
I've been told that to have my dreams, I'd have to sell my soul. I just never realized that it would cost me everything I had, to have everything I ever wanted.

Ash strives to create honest stories revolving around struggling heroins and bruised heroes, both trying to find happiness and acceptance, just like we in real life do. She writes about real struggles and real hardships, often giving the characters a tarnished facade. But through the constant loving and hating of the characters, you will fall in love with them as they grow and change and evolve through the stories.
As Ash always says, it’s all about real romance for real life.

This book is a full length testament to true life. I'm sure this is how some people truly rise to stardom. It shows how they grow and what they must really go through in order to live the life they want for their future...
I felt as the I knew these characters and felt their feelings in every single word written.

This was a really good story. I loved the first person point of view which is always a deal breaker for me. Wolf and Violet were wonderful together. I couldn't put this book down. And I really hope there is going to be book number 2

Wolf is a kid who was raised on the wrong side of the tracks, but this no hope kid is a guitar god in the making. Rock dreams turn into cold reality when he’s mentored by a rock legend and, of course, his entire life changes.
Wolf’s a sweet kid, but will he stay true to the music, the girl he loves, or will the pursuit of fame drag him down the rabbit hole?
I read this story in beta and loved it. I especially like how Ash, who is also a musician and singer, has created a world that I couldn’t help but get caught up in.
I’ve also read the second installment in beta and it’s even better. You’re in for a treat with this series!
