"Fabulous! A wonderfully, light hearted sequel to Finding Melody... I smiled, laughed, frowned and smiled again all the way through." Sue John
"It's a perfect romcom story to put a big smile on your face!" Stina Andersen
Once upon a time, whilst playing her guitar under The London Eye, a crazy, pink-haired hippie met and became friends with a very, very special guy. Office Guy. *Sighs with heart-shaped eyes* And what started as a game—a love game—soon became something more. Well, you’ve heard this story before, haven't you? You know how we became friends and fell in love. What you don’t know is what happened when we decided to get married. It hasn't been exactly easy to get everyone on board with our relationship. Let me tell you… From ‘once upon a time’ to ‘happily ever after’, quite a lot has happened. Buckle up. It’s a roller coaster ride
I’ve missed Melodie and Isaac. Two people from different worlds. The wedding isn’t smooth sailing and working out their differences might bring them closer or drive them apart.
It's that time of the year again. Christmas spirit fills the streets, love is in the air, mistletoe kisses and happy ending This book is NOT that story! Trust Laura to put on her pointy hat and stir the couldron, while cackling, stirring spicy ingredients in the sweet pot setting the dessert on fire!!😂😂😂
I laughed non stop, couldn't put the book down at all. I just finished and I needed to tell y'all to just read this book. A pot-pourri of characters, some we met before in Finding Melodie which is FREE btw. Melodie Charleroux is quirky, weird, sassy and totally outofthe box colouring artiste. Music flows in her veins and inappropriate thoughts make up 95% of her brain.
"Daughter of a broken home, hippie, a job she couldn’t pronounce nor comprehend, odd throughout and now vegetarian."
But her gigantic, compassionate heart is in the right place, even though her mouth can't keep shut at those moments. Anyhow, her dreamy boyfriend aka Office Guy Isaac has just kissed her and proposed to her. Cue sloppy, dreamy music in the background and snow falling around them...sigh🥰
“Two lovers reuniting, uncaring of the snowstorm, holding to each other tight in the city streets. ‘The world holds still, the world could break down to pieces and it wouldn’t matter. Because they are each other’s world’”
And the record scratches right here!!! There a meddling duo of freinds who Melodie takes guidance from, her own pet "vent-group", and obviously visiting the FAMILY!! All goes downhill from here!
Momsy walking in on sexy times, Gypsies meeting the stuffy posh Monsters-In-law, missing luggage, missed trains, equally snooty party friends and a very horny, slutty Victoria. The sequences are so funny, it had me splitting my sides laughing.
"I hear bells too… Funeral bells. Over my dead body!"
Omg what a hoooooot.i find this time of the year steeped in a little too sugary-syrupy, sappiness and this book is just the right amount of rumchata in my eggnog. Cheers!! 5stars for Passive-aggressive, posh fuckology. Follow me on: Email🌻 Bookbub 🌻 Twitter🌻 Instagram🌻 Blog🌻 Facebook🌻 Amazon 🌻
I loved Melodie and Isaac from Laura Rossi’s book “Finding Melodie” and I was so happy to see that she had written a sequel to their storybook romance. She gives us a front row seat to their wedding preparations and fills us in how their lives had changed since we last saw them.
Melodie is the kind of young woman we all want to be or want for our best friend. I love her pink hair, stylish clothes and her carefree personality. She is her own person with an abundance of self confidence that has endeared her to me forever. Melodie and Isaac are a special couple who are definitely a match made in heaven. Isaac loves her quirkiness and beautiful voice and Melodie loves his nerdy glasses and how sexy he looks in a suit. Whenever Isaac calls her Pixie my heart melts and I fall in love with them even more!
Melodie and Isaac are truly soulmates and their happiness is contagious, heartwarming and magical. Melodie loves being engaged and is looking forward to a future with Isaac that is filled with love, music and walks on the bank by the river. But what happens when Melodie meets Isaac’s parents? Will Melodie’s wedding plans hit a roadblock or will love find a way to bring everyone together?
Finally we get to read about Pixie and the Office Guy's happily ever after...or their road to it! The Wedding continues were we left off in Finding Melodie, and they are still so in love with each other, so adorable!
"Yup, I was a winter girl on the outside, I always had the sun inside anyways."
We get to meet the parents, one crazier than the next! Who hasn't worried themselves over meeting the parents? Why not throw in some very embarrassing first impressions?
"Love isn't logic, there isn't just one thing that works. It just does or it doesn't."
I really liked that we get to read from one of the monster in-law's POV. That's not often done.
It's a perfect romcom story to put a big smile on your face!
"I was his head in the clouds and he was my feet on the ground" Isaac and Melodie are two total opposites that complement and complete each other. A perfect match with a love that warms your heart and makes you smile. Buttt add in the future Mother In law from hell and its enough to ruffle your feathers as you go into defence mode for Melodie. Awww this story left me with a hugh smile on my face, swooning over Our Office Guy and his Pixie, loved it........
Planning a wedding is never easy and when it comes to Office Guy and his Pixie, things couldn’t be anymore of a roller coaster ride of events. Melodie is a strong woman that is confident and doesn’t let anyone change who she is and I absolutely love this about her. What happens over the course of the holiday season will have you feeling emotions from one end to the other. A blend of laughter, love, heartache and frustration that brings us to a beautiful HEA.
recensione a cura del blog "Libri Magnetici" by Anna R.
I was given this book in turn for an honest review.
If you haven’t read Finding Melodie by Laura Rossi, then you seriously need too! This series is a feel good, rom com that has a few hidden surprises along the way, keeping us readers and the characters on their toes!
I was very excited to hear that Laura Rossi was releasing a Sequel to Finding Melodie, The Wedding, at last the Happily Ever After that we had all been waiting for! But wait, as with life nothing is ever as simple, as easy, or without its complications and that is exactly what Melodie and Isaac discover when they decide its time to take that next step; to tie the knot, to show the world they are their forever home, soul mates, each other’s calm to the storm and yes, they really were perfect, they are the very definition of opposites attract and I love them!
This Sequel does change POV a little. We mainly hear from Melodie, but Laura also switches to the Mother-In-Law’s POV which gives another angle, for us the readers to consider and where needed we also hear from Isaac, and I think it all worked perfectly. This was definitely a story that needed more than one POV to get the true feel of the story being told, for us to fully understand the why, the how, and to truly appreciate some of the humour.
This story has brought a huge smile to my face, romance, humour, the crazy thing called life doing what life does best and throwing a few curve balls, it is a fantastic, relatable, feel good rom-comtastic read, you will not be disappointed!
I loved the first book about this couple Finding Melodie, Issac and Melodies love story was quirky, cute and sooo darn Romantic, opposites really do attract!!! So they fell in love, and now NOW IS PLANNING THE WEDDING !! oh this author enjoys wrapping our emotions with a wicked smile !!!! I loved this book with a passion, it had just about everything! I could totally identify with everything and felt everything!!! We all know someone like this or have felt like this ourselves!! Just about everything went wrong for Melodie and Issac, and i was in fits of laughter with each page. Meeting the In-Laws in s state of undress and seducing their son !!! Then to christmas holidays with the family.. Poor Melodie had to navigate it alone, with Issac being tied up with work. and trust me the dialogue had me rolling over laughing. They don't like each other !!! Melodies inside dialogue. omg I was chanting it along with her !!! Cynthia the mother in Law to be made it abundantly clear she felt Melodie was not good enough for her son !!! Melodies Quirky parents stirred into the mix, and i can assure you, you wont want to set this book down !! Although a light and extremely humorous read its also a book with two people who love each other deeply and I just love how this author puts it all together !!!!!
The Wedding is a continuation of Finding Melody. We rejoin Melodie now that she's got her ‘office guy’ and we follow them through another chapter of their life together.
You'd think now that they're together it'd be plain sailing for them, you'd be wrong.
Melodie is a loveable, quirky, sassy little firecracker. Isaacs is her nerdy office guy. In some ways they seem like polar opposites, but they do say that opposites attract.
Whilst Melodie seems to be all sass and confidence, she has to deal with her own inner voice; just like we all do. Not only that Melodie has to deal with her future mother in law too, not an easy feat. With Christmas fast approaching, knowing they're spending it with Issac’s family, Melodie tries to hunt down the perfect presents to help win over her potential mother-in-law. The world, however, had other plans. Melodie and Issac end up have to travel to his parents separately, Melodie going up ahead of Issac. That's when things begin to go wrong.
By the time Issac arrives his mother has come up with the ‘perfect’ plan to get between the two of them. Melodie after reaching breaking point flees back to her father’s home to try to understand and accept her fate.
Is this the end for Melodie and Issac?? I guess you'll have to read it for yourself and see!! For a book entitled ‘The Wedding’ you'd assume that it's all romance, hearts, flowers and happiness; for some authors this would be right; for this particular author: no. Why write all hearts and flowers when you can grab a big stick and stir in a whole heap of emotional turmoil to spice things up! Bravo Laura, bravo!
This book is mainly written from Melodie’s POV, but it also does have some chapters that are written from the POV of Melodie’s Mother-In-Law to be, this offers a whole new perspective to this incredible story.
Laura’s writing style is a compelling, cleverly thought-out web of love, lust, emotion, lies and sass. Laura gives you all the details, all the emotion that you need to be drawn into Melodie’s world and feeling as though you are a part of her life and part of every event that takes place.
This was an incredible follow up to Finding Melodie. I loved every page and I would highly recommend these book to anyone looking for a rom-com feel good read.
This book made me laugh out loud so many times. I was so excited to read the next part in Melodie and Isaac's journey to their happily ever after. It should have been smooth sailing on the way to their wedding day but there are more hurdles for them to get past and they get to meet each other's parents which is both hilarious and extremely frustrating because I definitely wanted to scream at certain points along the way. This book will take you through all of the emotions and the ending is so sweetly, romantically beautiful! If you haven't read the first part of Melodie and Office Guy's love story you definitely should.
I totally enjoyed reading The Wedding: A Finding Melodie Sequel. You can certainly tell this author did her research in writing this book. Getting back with the quirky artist and the office guy, was nothing short of a great treat. The story flowed perfectly and I found myself caught up in the book before realizing I was pretty much done with the book. Meeting the future MIL is always nerve wrecking...but truly Melodie knows how to take first place in that scenario. Busted a gut reading that one.
Melodie and Isaac balance each other out perfectly. Sometimes wish I could be a free spirit like her. If you want a character to make your blood boil, meet Cynthia, the ultimate future Monster-in-Law! I lost count of how many times she made me cringe or want to slap her. Thankfully karma showed up in time to take care of her. Hopefully there’s more to come with Melodie and her friends and family!
This book is great, as I knew it would be. It was wonderful to catch up with Melodie and Isaac. The storyline, as you come to expect from Laura, throws you a curveball right from the start. The secondary characters in the book are great additions, even if Cynthia deserved to be locked up lol. Funny, sweet, and heart-warming. A perfect story to curl up and read in one go.
Melodie and Isaac may be opposites but they are definitely attracted to each other. This book dealt with unexpected chaos, fun, laughter and a bit of craziness. I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review and I thoroughly enjoyed another wonderful book by this fabulous author. A job well done Laura. Bravissima!
Pixie and Office Guy have been together a year now and still going strong. He pops the question and she says yes of course! Then the doubts set in. Is she good enough to make him happy? Is she marriage material? Will his family approve? I really enjoyed the next chapter in the lives of Melodie and Issac. I read both books in less than 24 hours!
It’s the sequel of “Finding Melodie”. The story between Isaac and Melodie continues and after a year there’s the proposal. It’s another beautiful story, you’re going to smile, laugh, get angry ( with the mother in law) and love the protagonists especially Melodie with her beautiful, strong, radiant personality. Thanks Laura, another wonderful book!
This book was just as fun and hopeful as the first. I couldn’t get enough of Melodie and Isaac. I recommend both of their books for anyone looking for quick and fun rom-coms.
A beautiful romance with an absolute nightmare of a future mother in law! Loved this couple in "Finding Melodie" and they continue to be adorable and perfect for each other. Such a sweet read.
Having loved Melodie and Issac in Finding Melodie, I couldn't wait to jump into this follow-up story. The Wedding had me creasing up with laughter and snorting at all the antics between Melodie and her future mother-in-law. There were some real heart-felt moments too and the story flowed beautifully throughout. 5 big stars!
"I don't want it to be perfect, I want it to be real. We are real, you are perfect for me in every possible way."
Oh my goodness, Isaac and Melodie are just perfect together!! His straight-laced ways are the perfect balance to her wild randomness. Now, if Melodie could just win over the monster-in-law, she'll have it made.
Love isn't always easy, especially when there are hurdles in your way. But, in the end, love is always worth it.
This was such a great story!! I loved it! You definitely need to read this series!!
This read is the perfect anecdote to lift your spirits. It guarantees putting a smile and a pep in your heart, especially during the often bittersweetness of holidays.
The author was spot on in the imagery and wedding prepping as we embark on Melody and Isaac’s heartfelt, charming, and hilarious story.
Wedding preparations are challenging enough. Reading a story about said wedding prep and you add 2 characters who love each other madly despite the fact fact they are complete opposites in every way, that’s a fun story. Add to that, meddling friends and family and you have a truly unique gem of a story.
