What happens when you find Mr. Right after getting dumped by Mr. Wrong? New York Times bestselling author J. Sterling brings you this enjoyable romance about finding love again after getting your heart broken.

Heading off to Vail single and alone wasn't how I planned on spending the week before Valentine's Day, but here I am, in one of the most scenic places in the country, with nothing to do and no one to do it with.

Until I meet Jase Malone.
He's adventurous, charming, and sexy as hell.

It was supposed to just be one night. One night of letting go of the past and giving in to the moment.

Val has been dating her current beau for a few years now and she senses a shift is coming, hopefully a long awaited proposal! What actually happens is the complete opposite and this is how she finds herself in Vail staying at a resort to re-centre herself. And this is where she meets Jase.

He is gorgeous, sexy and fun - he could be just the person to add some much needed colour to her break up blues. Jase makes Val’s trip to Vail more than she ever expected and despite the temptation to swap numbers, she walks away satisfied with the delicious memories.

‘We don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do. Don’t get me wrong; I want to savor every fucking inch of your spectacular body. But I understand if you’re not ready to be consumed.’

Until Jase decides that being with Val was the best experience of his life and he simply cannot walk away from someone he has such a strong connection with.

This is the second story in the Fun for the Holiday’s series and it delivered up a romantic light hearted novella with a nice serving of insta-love

This is how I like short books. Filled with light romance and insta love. And just in time for Valentine's day. I liked Val and Jace soo much. They were a cute couple and they fell in love with each other straight away. Sometimes I wonder can a person fall in love that fast, but then again real life always reminds me about it. It makes me believe in love ❤️.

4.5🌟s - This is the Valentine’s Day short story you need. The title feels like it might cater to the Anti-Valentine’s Day sector, but it does not! This is such a wonderfully romantic book, and totally makes you believe that things happen for a reason.

Val goes on a “MANVENTURE” to prove that she is not boring, like her ex-boyfriend accused her. She heads from NYC to Vail and, as someone who lives in Colorado, Sterling nails her description of the town and even throws in some fun local color!

She meets Jase and definitely makes the most of her short time in Vail. Her past has left her jaded and she doesn’t trust these immediate and intense feelings she has for Jase.

But they do help her realize that she doesn’t miss her ex. I loved this quote, “He never needed my air. And I realized, too, that I had never needed his. I breathed just fine on my own.”

I love how this story wraps up, with just enough drama to make it interesting!

Great Valentine’s Day story that makes you believe in love at first sight!

Why would I read a book called Dumped for Valentine's the day before Valentines Day? Because I knew J Sterling wouldn't let me down. It's a cute and fun, fast paced longer novella that was a pleasure to read with some great characters that will surely delight.

Val is a florist in NYC and her boyfriend of 3 years, Moore dumps her close to Valentines Day. She was expecting a proposal and he just wants to travel and see the world....without Val. Val takes this break up in stride and anger and books a flight to Vail. See? She can travel and adventure too! While there, she meets a man, Jase that is there in place of his coworker. This has to be fate, right?

I'm not usually one for instalove, but this novella was perfect for it. 2 people in the right place at the right time and just connected. I loved Jase and I loved Val together, even if it was just for the weekend. They connected in their thoughts and feelings on life, love and where they saw themselves going. Nothing like 3 years with Moore. As Jase would say, "when you know, you know." There was a little drama, which of course we need, but it was right for the characters and they handled it with ease.

If you want a one sitting holiday read that can be read during any time of the year, this is a great little ditty that will leave you with a smile on your face and much love for these characters.

A steamy, insta love vacation romance that sees a recently dumped NYC florist taking a vacation in Vale only to fall for a swoony travel writer who pursues her when they return to the city. Cute and fun, this was a quick but entertaining read to get you in the Valentine's mood. It was also good on audio and I look forward to reading more in this series.

Thank you Jenn for the ARC.

If I thought book 1 of this fun-tastical series had me giddy…this book had me just as giddy.

Val was hoping for a proposal from her boyfriend of 3 years. He saw a completely different life. So just before Valentine’s Day, he dumped her. And to say she was crushed is an understatement. But lo and behold, a trip out of town awaited her. Her best friend to her to make her vacation a Mancation.

She sees Jase at the check-in line for the “hotel” (it’s such a small word for this place) and an instant attraction takes over. They happen to meet each other at the hotel bar a couple hours later and chat for the majority of the time.

I’m with Val on this. Society has said that the end of a relationship should have a certain “mourning” period. And that’s the rule that Val was trying her hardest to abide by. But Jase said to essentially, screw society, and that if you feel something for someone else to go for it.

I loved Jase. He was a free spirit and was who Val needed to loosen up in her life. Now, I’m not one for kissing someone before you really know them. But the first kiss that next morning had me itching to see what Jenn would write for the big scene.

My biggest qualm was Val and her pushing aside her growing feelings for Jase. But I understand why she pushed him away. Jase was the complete opposite of her ex. He was attentive. Like he paid attention so closely that he understood her facial expressions after only knowing her for 24 hours. And that really scared her.

I went into this book blind. And the same will happen with the rest of this series. But the deli scene had me reeling. If I was Val I would’ve had the same thought in that Jase lied.

I thought this book was refreshing. It broke down the standard that you’re supposed to be single for a certain amount of time after a breakup.

Favorite quote: “Moore and I had never been that affectionate, not in public or in private. He never needed my air. And I realized, too, that I had never needed his. I breathed just fine on my own”

Have I told you guys enough about how obsessed I am with J. Sterling’s books? If you thought me being obsessed with “Kissing my Co-Worker” was going to stop me from being equally if not more obsessed with this one then you were wrong. I AM OBSESSED AND I CANNOT GET ENOUGH!!!!
Jase Malone has ruined me and the standard has went up to the roof to the point that I don’t think any other book boyfriend will ever be able to complete.
This book has ruined me for good.
Jase and Val’s love story is heartbreaking beautiful and a example that when you find the one there’s nothing that can’t stand in the way of that, that if you want something/someone hard enough you will do everything in your power to make sure that everything goes the way is supposed to go.
Never in a million year will Val imagine that after getting dumped for Valentine’s by her boyfriend of no one but three years, that she thought she was going to spend the rest of her life with, dumped by the excuse of her not being “adventurous enough” and bucking trip to Vail, that she will met the man of her dreams.
You have Jase, the handsome, dark hair, blue eyes, photographer and writer in one hand.
On the other hand you have Val, who sacrificed everything, who put her heart and soul into her business, her very own flower shop, who’s kind, gorgeous.
The way they both meet and how their relationship comes alive is just wow.
Beautiful writing.
J. Sterling you did it again girly, I’m so proud of you, and so lucky that I get to read this masterpiece.
I cannot wait for the world to read it too.

Linda novela con toque hot.

description

Irse soltera en San Valentín no eran los planes que Valerie tenía, sin embargo, no le queda de otra después que su ex le cortara. Tampoco planeaba conocer a Jase, aunque solo sea una noche.

“I know what society says you’re supposed to do. But I don’t think there’s a handbook every person should follow. We all heal in different ways.”

Me gustó más este que el anterior de la serie, disfruté más el romance y las partes tiernas en la historia. Además, que Jase te flecha desde el principio.

description

Algo que si extrañe fue ver ambos POV, aquí solo tenemos el de la protagonista. El romance me pareció un instalove, pero como se iba más a la atracción física no se me hizo molesto. No lo amé, no obstante, el final me encantó.

Take me to Vail!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book as well as the other short holiday read. I love the idea of a quick read for each holiday. It’s just the perfect addition to get me in the holiday spirit! Way to go J Sterling!

I have to say I have Vail, CO in my searches for a vacation. While I love fictional towns, I also like real ones with the ability to go visit them if I haven’t been there already.

Val, a flower shop owner (yay for small business owner) is expecting a proposal for Valentine’s Day. It doesn’t get more romantic than that being her profession. Except, she gets dumped. Three years down the drain for not being adventurous. On a whim, she books a trip to Vail. Her best friend wants her to find a one night stand and enjoy herself. Jase is in Vail for business as he’s filling in for a hurt co-worker. Their worlds collide at the bar. They explore together, enjoy each other’s company, but then doubt fills her mind as the belief she needs to grieve a relationship for longer is fused in her mind thanks to society. I agree, when you know you know. Love their HEA!

Can a one-night stand cure a broken heart?

I read the first novella in this series at the end of last year (Kissing My Co-Worker). This one is now Valentine’s Day themed, and is second in the Fun For The Holidays series!

Valerie and Moore have been together for three years, and this Valentine’s Day, Valerie is anticipating the big proposal. However, what she gets is the big break up.

“Three years wasted. Three years spent with someone I’d thought I knew inside and out, whom I apparently hadn’t known at all.”

So what does any girl do that gets dumped? Leave on a spontaneous getaway for a few days of course, and who knows what kind of “manventure” Val might encounter…well a manventure named Jase to be precise.

And just like that, a florist and a travel blogger are finding love…

Read If You Love:
-quick novellas
-a “manventure”
-getaways in Colorado
-golden bears
-roses upon roses

These are just all around fun novellas and there are going to be multiple ones coming out this year! Thank you so much J Sterling for my advanced physical copies! Dumped For Valentine’s is out now, AND it’s on KU!

Val finds herself unexpectedly in Vail, Colorado after getting dumped by her boyfriend of 3 years, Moore. She meets Jase and is immediately attracted to him. The feeling was mutual and Jase asks her to spend the next day with him. They explore Vail for his job, which is to write articles about travel destinations. He tries to find the local and no so famous stores so they can get some publicity and not just the big named attractions. She likes that about him. Jase wore his heart on his sleeve and I was a bit disappointed when Val acted like a chicken. She could love her flower business and not have to give up a personal life. She seemed to be in her head a lot and I felt she needed to be more present with the people in her life. It was a good read, but there was a timeline issue that I had with it. Also, she didn't exactly treat Jase right when she turned him down to see each other again. Would have liked to see her make the move to get him back into her life.

great read

This is a cute Valentine’s Day story. Val left New York for a weekend getaway to clear her head from a recent breakup. Her decision to let go and see what happens turned out to be the best one in her life. Jase and his cute dimples helped Val embrace the weekend with no regrets. But when he wants to see her again when they return to New York, Val breaks his heart. With the help of her friend Karina, Val and Jase find their way back to one another. Great, easy to read romance, perfect for Valentine’s Day!

Cute Valentine’s Day novella.

This is an instalove romance. Jase Malone was the perfect CRH. This story pairs nicely with a glass of wine and a blanket. Perfect read with sweet HEA and some super steamy hotel seggs.

Val just got dumped by her long time BF. He think Val is boring so she goes on a mini vacay before VDay all by herself. On her trip she meets Jase and they have an instant connection. Val fights her heart, but luckily Jase doesn’t give up.

This was another great installment of the fun for the holidays series. Val had her boyfriend had been together for years. She figured the natural progression of their relationship was coming…a romantic proposal for Valentine’s Day. The last thing she expected was to get dumped and find out he’s moving away. He said she had no adventure. So Val decides to prove him wrong and she books a weekend trip to Vail.

The last thing she expects is to find romance for herself. But there was this instant connection with Jase and they decide to spend the weekend together exploring Vail. They both feel the same way about their beloved New York and discover they are actually living in the same area. Could this be too good to be true or has Val finally found the love and relationship that desires?

I can't decide if I like cheesy romance these days

Lately I've become more cynical of the easy peasy cheesy love stories but I will probably always love a good romance with the sexy self assured man that treats his girl right. This was no exception. It was a short, quick read and sure rushed romance perhaps but it didn't feel like that at all. Val gets dumped and decided to take a last minute adventure and meets a dream boat she couldn't have imagined. No matter how it turns out, she's proven to herself she can be spontaneous. I respect that. give this little red book a read, you will not be sorry!

Just go and enjoy

Now that is a way to say…. Suck it loser. Val you are the true winner because Karina was THE BEST friend and supporter of all times. Also your vision is on point because Jase caught your eye when your heart wasn’t looking.

I truly enjoyed this romance and mecation.

This was a cute little read- just like a hallmark movie but a book. There were times I got a little irritated with Vale but I mean, she was just emotional and in her head I guess.

I am curious to see if the bears on jewelry is a thing in Vail! I think that’ll be something I try to check out.

This is short, sweet and steamy and oh-so-good. Val expected a proposal but got dumped instead because her ex said she was boring. To prove him wrong, she takes a spontaneous trip and meets Jase, who’s perfect for her. They have a quick connection and share an amazing night but when he wants more, she runs scared.

She should be mourning the loss of a three-year relationship, not falling for a sexy stranger, or at least that’s what she tells herself. Val’s conflicted and Jase is crushed but has he been hiding a secret all along? I love the banter between Val and her BFF but Jase and Val are fire together and that’s what made this story.

This a fun and quick read sure to get you in the Valentines spirit! Val, our main girl, owns a flower shop and loves the holiday, even after getting dumped when she thought she would be getting engaged.

Told from only Val’s POV, she takes us on a bit of an adventure from New York City to a last minute vacation in Vail. The author described Vail so clearly that I felt like I was there! Val meets Jase on the trip, where they have a short and steamy couple of days, but Val isn’t really sure she’s ready for anew relationship. Jase is so sweet and I love that he knew exactly what he wanted, but I was frustrated with Val at the end and I’m so glad Jase helped her come to her senses so they could get their HEA!

This book is part of a holiday series featuring stand alone novella length books about different holidays over the year, so I’m looking forward to the next one!

I loved to get into valentine’s vibes already!! And now all I wanna do is just devour all valentines theme books!
Jase and Valerie field my heart with a lot of cute moments and adorable scenes together. They were so sweet and their dynamics is so amazing. I’m glad they have familiar interests and can talk all about it. Also Jade reads Val so good, he sees every little detail about her cares about her so damn much.

Loved It!

Valerie was dumped just before Valentine’s Day and takes a spur of the moment trip to Vail. Little does she know this will be the best decision of her life.

Jase is just the man to show Val what love truly is. I couldn’t put it down!
