After a strange race of aliens lands on Planet Einstein, the human race is under attack. Billions of humans are killed outright while thousand of others are taken away to the alien ship and experimented upon or used as breeding pods for the aliens.
When the humans remaining in space and on Planet Earth find out that eleven planets have already been conquered, they embark on a rescue mission.
Little do they know how far their battles will take them and what they will learn on the way. Who are The Brakendeth and what do they want with humans? Why are the Skivertons viciously attacking, eating and killing those humans who are not useful to them?

I really enjoyed the writing style of this novel. It’s very different in its structure to other books I’ve read but once I got used to it I found it hugely compelling. The fact that a few central characters are followed and that the book cleverly switches between the characters to follow the differing yet interlocking stories made this a fast paced and addictive reading journey. I didn’t foresee the end twist until it was very close and the payoff as a reader was quite rewarding I felt. I’m intrigued to see if this author comes up with other sci fi tales and will be keeping track in the hopes that there is more to come
