Kimber Callahan was once in a loving daddy dom relationship, or so she thought. Eighteen years later, she realizes it was a lie. Her marriage is broken, along with her sense of self worth as a partner and a submissive.
Starting over isn’t easy, but the 45-year-old is determined to move past the hurt with the help of a new job and some much needed therapy.
At fifty, Eric Kelly has never found a woman he could click with. That changes when he hires Kimber. The attraction is instant. But when a miscommunication reveals some deeply personal information about Kimber, she quits in humiliation.
Eric isn’t about to let her go. He suspects this may be the woman he’s waited all his life for. Can he convince a woman whose inner little one has been shattered to take a chance on a new daddy dom?
Ava Sinclair is a best-selling Amazon romance author who caters to readers who appreciate a plot driven book where the steamy sex complements the story, rather than overshadowing it.
A hopeless bibliophile, Ava avidly reads across multiple genres, and this is reflected in her varied body of work that spans contemporary, medieval fantasy, western, historical, time travel and sci-fi. She especially enjoys world-building and crafting interesting and relatable characters.
Because her books feature graphic sex and elements of power exchange, she gently cautions her readers to take her work for what it is – delightful, sexy escapism.
Ava lives in southern Virginia in a farmhouse tucked away on a wooded hilltop. The first thing she did after moving in was to rip out the dining room and turn it into a library/office. This is where she spends most of her days, writing and being ignored by her cats. When she’s not working, she enjoys roaming the woods around her house, or seeking the advice of Lucius, her Eagle Owl.
This is a BDSM book featuring a Little and her Daddy and each of them middle aged in their 40s and 50s, it has several 🔥 scenes and some spanking and I thought it was quite excellent. It has a nice HEA and I think those who like a good Daddy story will like this book.
I loved the chance to get to read a DDlg story involving an older couple and even a newly divorced character. A wonderful change of pace from what I normally find and something I can better relate too.
The FMC has A LOT of mental health baggage to process after her divorce and at times it got to be a bit much. BUT I appreciated the author tackling how divorce and years of mental/emotional abuse can leave a Little.
I really liked this book. I liked that it was an older couple and the people were flawed. It was realistic. Eric and Kimber were instantly attracted to each other. Kimber had a lot of emotional baggage to deal with. Eric tried to help her bit she had to help herself too. I really liked that Eric couldn't magically fix her. It was an emotional read but I really enjoyed it.
It was so nice to see a dd\lg book written for an older woman older daddy ,from beginning to end of was indicative of how many of us older little feel . I simply loved it
This is a seasoned BDSM romance between recent divorcée, Kimber, and Eric, her new employer. When she accidentally sends him an email detailing her desires for a Daddy Dom, she's horrified, but he's intrigued. Will her past bad relationships prevent her from enjoying this one?
There's a lot to like about this book, beginning with the fact that the MC is older ('40s) -- a refreshing change from the barely legal characters this genre usually features. Both Kimber and Eric are enormously likeable: mature, caring, intelligent, and articulate. I also appreciated the consent; that Eric did not pursue the relationship until Kimber ; and that D/s wasn't offered as a magic bullet cure for past traumas.
I would have rated this more highly since Eric is a dream Daddy, but Kimber's lack of self-confidence was so overdone that I wondered how she managed to have a successful career all these years, and the villain was so cartoonish that he might as well have been twirling his mustache. There are a couple of typos and inconsistencies, but nothing major.
3 1/2 stars. This is a relatively short book, so only contains a few erotic scenes.
I loved that this was a middle-aged (her 45, him 50) couple with this DDlg kink! (And not baby kink.) I wish there were more stories like this. Maybe even older couples?
I loved the way that Eric and Kimber handled her lack of self-confidence in a very mature way. (And I learned some things about myself and fat shaming.) It's too bad that young couples can't think and act like this. So many marriages wouldn't end in divorce.
I loved that even though Eric wasn't an in-your-face alpha and was learning how to be a Daddy, he'd discovered this is what he had been looking for, and picked it all up very quickly and was good at it.
I also loved that Kimber realized that her toxic "friend " Melinda was not her friend at all and all her sabotage, when she started her new job and found true loyal women friends! Yay, Kimber!
The cherry on the top would've been that they finally were pregnant (IN YOUR FACE NASTY EX!) but with their older ages it wouldn't have been possible. Oh, well. Sigh.
4 stars because I would've loved to read how her ex reacted to Kimber's new self-confidence and wonderful life! I hope he ended up in jail with assault charges. Sorry, not sorry. I do recommend this book if you like this kink. Happy reading! ;D
Kimber is a forty five year old woman starting over. Divorced and starting with a new job, she was slowly moving forward. When a mistake causes her to fall backwards. Eric works hard. He has his routine. He never thought a miss sent email would change all that. He may have found his little to possibly loser her.
OMG, I love that Kimber is older. THANK YOU. He ex-husband was a jerk. Let’s be honest. If he really cared and loved her, NOTHING would have mattered. Her finding a great new job and a great boss was a plus. We all make mistakes but I can understand her “fear.” Then I just started to tear up when she was falling down that hole. How many times had I done that too? Self-loathing is the worst. I wanted to hug Kimber and tell her things would get better. Her friend Melinda was like a friend of mine. She did the same thing to me. I ended up pushing that so called friend out of my life. No one needs a negative person putting you down to make them feel better. Eric may have been new to being a Daddy but he did a great job. Kimber needed him in her life to show her that she is one in a million. Never let anyone tear you down. As always Ava, you nailed it. I missed you being gone. I am glad you are back and with a great book too.
Kimber is an older woman that is starting over after her husband cheated on her. She thought they were in a loving DD/lg relationship only to find out that he was with someone else for months. Now her divorce is almost final and she moving on with a better job and a new home. She's getting ready to start therapy and when a letter she thought she sent to her therapist ends up with her new boss she's embarrassed. When Eric gets the email he is stunned but it explains why he has been drawn to her because he thinks he is a DD. When he emails her back Kimber gets even more upset and quits her job. Eric is worried about her so he goes to see her. He offers her a job working on the web design of his new business venture with a friend. Its not long before they start dating now that they can. However Kimber is still dealing with past insecurities that cause issues in their relationship. Will Kimber's past keep her from having a future with Eric? Can she finally move on from her ex?
This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Kimber is so many women that I know these days, even though she's a Little. She feels she's too old to be Little and she's been mentally beat down in her marriage to the point where she feels that she believes what her ex has told her and feels unloveable. Then she gets a job working for Eric, who thinks he's finally found the one woman perfect for him, only to have to fight every step of the way through her insecurities, all the while embracing for the first time the DD/lg lifestyle. Like I said, almost seems like the author took a real slice of someone's life. There were sometimes that the hairs on the back of my neck rose and I got goosebumps, it felt so real. Loved it, you gotta read it! My only complaint is that it was a little short, wish it was longer.

A very enjoyable read. This couple have a lot to work through for a loving, stable and forever relationship. This book shows how the correct person/people can change your life for the better. Kimber had some deep emotional issues that she should have worked through but did not. Eric has some issues in finding the correct woman (someone who he can care for and discipline when needed). This book also shows that no matter what type of issues you have in your life, there is a therapist out there for you. Work through it with whoever you need to. Do not give up a happy loving life because of your past.

Kimber's going through a tumultuous divorce. It's not just a divorce, it's the fact that she's losing her Daddy Dom too. Suddenly he doesn't want her anymore. She's not skinny or young or pretty enough for him anymore. Devastating. The only bright spot is her brand new job with Eric. He never knew he was a Daddy Dom until he meets Kimber. An accidental misunderstanding causes embarrassment for Kimber and a rift in their new friendship. Can they fix it? Eric wants to be her Daddy, spank her bottom, love her...forever.

Kimber is going through the divorce process and about to start a new job. Her husband Kevin was her Daddy, but far from the attributes that make a loving and nurturing Daddy. He drove her down with negative comments about her failure to produce an infant and her appearance.
Kimber is hired by Eric, who triggers her Daddy vibe. Eric is attracted to her, and recognizes the Daddy element in himself. He loves to spank.
This is an emotional read with verbal and physical abuse from her Ex. What changes is how she responds to him. Kevin is no longer her Daddy.
Great short story. I'm so glad that Kimber found love at the age of 45. Her husband was such a creep and he hurt her so bad after being with him for 18 years. I cried for Kimber as she went through her emotional upheaval. She ends up finding a super great job and a wonderful boss. I love how Eric did a great job of giving Kimber her self worth back and her little trust again. Thanks Ava for giving us an older little to love. I'm excited that Kimber and Eric found their HEA. I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Kimber is trying to pick up the pieces after losing more than just a husband. Her self worth has tanked and she feels lost without any grounding. Eric is her knew boss and they have a connection that she recognizes but does not trust. He realizes new wants and needs because of her. He wants to protect, care for and love her. Kimber has to decide to give her trust again. I liked that the couple was closer to middle age.

Finalizing her divorce from an abusive ex who used her submission against her Kimber is starting over from scratch. Her self esteem is zero and she believes her desires are shameful. Enter her new boss Eric who has never been a daddy before but has the desire to be. It’s an uphill battle for both among Kimbers serious doubts about herself and her worth, a well meaning (I hope but I’m not quite convinced about her) controlling friend and an ex that gets nasty.
What a delightful read about two people getting a second chance at life and love. Kimber needs someone who cares for her and wants to be her Daddy. She had a disastrous marriage with a man who ruined her self esteem. But when she meets Eric, there is just something about him that she is attracted to. Eric may be new to being a Daddy, but he does everything he can to show her that is who he wants to be for her. I loved that the characters were in their forties, and how they each have their struggles with aging, made it more real to me. I really enjoyed this story!
A second chance romance with both characters that are in their 40's. This was a cute story between Eric and Kimber. I half to admit I was a little annoyed with Kimber because of how down on herself she was but Eric slowly helps her in that respect. Her ex husband was a jerk who didn't know a good thing when he had it and it was good to see him get what was coming to him!! Oh, you wanna know what happened? Well, you'll just have to get the book and find out! Loved this story!
A second chance romance read with a daddy troupe that didn’t disappoint. Kimber finds herself starting over again after her marriage is over. She didn’t expect Eric but when she finally stops fighting their chemistry, she finds an unexpected second chance she was afraid to believe it. Will she give him a chance or will her past win? One click to find out in this newest release with likable characters and a steamy and sweet storyline.
Kimber is a “submissive little” in the middle of a messy divorce. She is a curvy woman with distrust of men due to a traumatic childhood and the abuse she suffered in her marriage. Their love story takes a few twists and turns as a result of Kimber’s mistrust. Eric is a spanking Dom that grows interested in Kimber and the role of Daddy. This steamy standalone story is well written and ends in a Happily Ever After. I look forward to reaching the rest of the series.
You cannot help but fall in love a little bit with Eric. A man who feels a connection with someone and is willing to explore what they need. Not to change who either person is but to see what they can do to enhance and nurture a possible future.

The story of Kimber and Eric is a pleasant surprise! It was a steamy and emotional romance full of angst and longing. I did appreciate the author's effort to address the issues of abandonment, abuse, and manipulation. It was a solid story.

This is a very good, well written, DD/lg romance. The characters are well developed, believable, and interesting. This is a story of a middle aged woman, who has just gotten out of a bad marriage, then meets her Daddy. There are ups and downs with a twist or two. This is the first story I have read by Ava Sinclair but will not be the last. Read and enjoy.
Finally is a perfect title for this book, as it brings in a more mature age couple. It's a perfect example how age is just a number. Fingers crossed there will be more 😍 Great read .
I do normally buy and read all Ava Sinclair books, as they are wonderfully written. However, I was unsure about reading a Daddy book about an older woman Little. Although I still prefer a younger Little and an older Daddy, this is still a must read.
A Daddy/Dom with his Adult Little in a new relationship is what the main story is about. The insecurities as a Little and a mature woman are the base of this ebook.
A story that was relatable and believable. The emotions run high in this sensitive and sizzling story as the characters realize that they might have a connection which neither expected. It was a very enjoyable read.
