Tori Ross is absolutely KILLING it with this series.

If you read Arson and loved the romance, and loved Thirst for the spice, you'll love Darkness.

This is the third book in her Jensen City Heroes series, and it absolutely sets the stage for an explosive fourth book, featuring everyone's favourite -- Linus. This book revolved around Bennett, another sexy firefighter, and the girl who saved his ass, Rose. Their chemistry was amazing, the twists and turns were exactly what I've come to expect from Ross, and the drama tore at my heart piece by piece. I knew exactly why what happened needed to happen, but it didn't make it any less hard.

Absolutely cannot wait to read the next from Ross!

Wow! Book 3 was just as amazing and action filled as the others in this series. The sexiness is definitely hot. And the characters are amazing and I love how tough Rose is. She's pretty awesome. I highly recommend this whole series. Definitely worth the 5 stars

Linus and Bennett are kidnapped due to Linus's knowledge of amp, the substance that gives powers to those who come in contact with it. Rose comes to their rescue. Bennett and Rose feel an instant connection and show each other their vulnerability as they decide to form a relationship with another. This story focused much on their relationship and the tension that comes in between them. I enjoyed reading about these characters, with Rose being intuitive and brave enough to turn against someone she thought she trusted but turned out to be a shady character, and Bennett for his loyalty to this friends and sweetness and silliness toward Rose. Though there were moments when I wanted to throttle him for his pride and there were misunderstandings that caused some tension. I also enjoyed seeing the side characters who were the focus of the previous two books (disclaimer: this is book 3 in a series and I hadn't realized that when I started reading so there were details I missed. However this book could be read without the other two, but I think for completeness and to understand the full story, readers should read books 1 and 2 first, which I will be doing!). I am excited to see what's in store for Linus in book 4.

Excellent storyline as it continues on with characters that have certain special abilities because they were in contact with a specific element that was contaminated. Full of action and drama this story follows Bennett and Rose as Rose saves both Bennett and his friend Linus from someone who would stop at nothing to get Information out of Linus on something he stole. Both Rose and Bennett’s relationship in the beginning was smooth and intense but as their relationship progresses there were a few bumps that kept them on misunderstanding each other. Can’t wait for the next story as the author left it off in a good place to make me want more from the next character.

When Rose, the female lead, rescues Bennett, the male lead, and his friend, they feel an instant attraction. Whilst in police protection, they build a relationship. But Bennett has always been known as a playboy and can’t reconcile what he now wants with what he’s always said he wanted. And there’s a mad man after them because of his friend’s special scientific knowledge.

This story is mostly dual POV, well written, and best read after the first two because of the complex multi-layered plot and the overlap of characters and relationships. I enjoyed the romantic story as well as the overarching plot and felt deeply for the characters, lead and secondary, as the story unfolded.

I usually have a tough time keeping up with books that are a part of a series because I'm easily distracted and have a very short attention span. I forget everything easily so, yeah books that are a part of a series are really hard for me to follow what with my terrible memory and all.

Anyway, I am hooked on Darbi and Zeke and Bennett and Rose and Linus and the gang. I can't wait to see what happens with Remi because I'm curious if she's pregnant for sure or not but yeah, it sort of looks that way. Also, I'm curious about what Linus has as his new power. I think Spiderman abilities but I suppose the next book will enlighten us.

This book is by a new author for me so I haven't read the earlier books in this series but I was still able to enjoy this one, it's a very good storyline about characters who have some special abilities because they were infected/altered after coming into contact with a contaminated element. The main characters Bennett and Rose who met when Rose saved Bennett and his friend Linus when they were abducted. Their story has lots of action and intrigue and is well thought out and had no problem holding my attention, I'll certainly read the next story in this series.

The Plot Thickens…

At the end of Thirst, Bennett and Linus have been kidnapped. They’re rescued by Rose, who Bennett thinks is an Angel. Their romance starts off so sparkly, but it has a hard in the real world. I was so happy when they finally put their misperceptions aside and talked to one another. Im excited for Linus’ book; my heart completely broke after the crash, so I’m hoping he comes back in a blaze of vengeance.

Bennett Parks and Rose Mccoy are beautifully written characters. Their story line is suspenseful. I even enjoyed Linus's character
