John Romita, Sr. (often known as simply John Romita) was an Italian-American comic-book artist best known for his work on Marvel Comics' The Amazing Spider-Man. He was inducted into the Comic Book Hall of Fame in 2002.
Romita was the father of John Romita, Jr., also a comic-book artist, and husband of Virginia Romita, for many years Marvel's traffic manager.
Spider-Man: The wedding album gallery edition has so much going on from the black suit right down to Mary Janes creepy X-boyfriend. Recommend to any fan of the classic Amazing Spider-Man.
This was such a huge event in Peter Parker's life and it was so cool to see how it all unfolds and the huge format made it so much better. The added extras detailing Peters love life over the course of his life thus far and then all the articles that were written about event / milestone at the timer were fantastic. Even if it's not in this format, these issues are a must read for any Spider-Man fan
I love the actual story of ASM 290-292 and the wedding issue, but the What If story is terrible and a gross mischaracterization of Black Cat, even for the 90s. Also, this edition’s size makes it unwieldy to read.
Fantastic collection of Spider-Man's engagement and wedding to the love of his life, Mary Jane Watson. Presented in a prestige, hardcover format, it is a great showcase of the art by the likes of John Romita Jr. and Paul Ryan, along with a some great backup features on the event, including the live 'wedding' Stan Lee presided over at Shay Stadium. Great book and tribute to one of the most important events in Spider-Man's life.
