I didn’t like the FMC at all. Every time you turn around she’s crying and peeing on herself lol. I understand she went through a lot, but damn. I think I’m just over the damsel in distress meets a rich man trope. It’s a great book though, and I’m looking forward to part 2.

Trouble and Lori, Healing Broken Hearts
My heart broke for Lori until nearing the end of the book!!!…She could have told Trouble what she was up to!!…The fact that she keeps saying he lied to her was irritating my soul!!!…She has all this heart and courage for everyone else, but not for Peter weak ash!!!..
So it sounds like Trouble’s past has come out to play!!!…I hope he survives ad they are able to get the ones that are still playing with his future!!!…
There is a whole family that has embraced Orphan Annie and she put her clown suit on!!!!…
Genie is such a great friend and I hope she is able to talk some sense into Lori!!!…

Disappointed
Story started off good but somehow I lost interest. I felt that it was written in a way that didn't really give the two main characters a real identity.... Just missed the mark for me. Trouble was not realistically connected to Lori and Lori was just completely all over the place , victim, liar , fake...just too many changing identities. Not recommending.

Good Read
Lori is really pissing me off!! I know she went through a lot with the Coles that no girl should endure but why do Trouble like that and take his daughter. All he ever did was save her and had her back. She better hope it ain't to late when she gets back to Detroit.💓💓

i get that lori been through a lot but my god she was annoying as hell. she keep saying trouble is liar as if she told the truth 100%. like please.
and her and trouble’s love for each other doesn’t correlate with the little time they spent together.
lori spazzing on genie after she met trouble’s dad and ran seemed unprovoked.. like what exactly was genie warning her of???? and why was she taking her attitude out on her.
i get davie is her daughter but to remove her from trouble like that and just run off with her to another state was so insane. she not even thinking about the baby’s mental health with anything she is doing. trouble is all that baby knows. she handled that the wrong way and the way she’s just like “ if he wants me and davie he needs to come here …. blah blah blah “ like girl you didn’t even give him a chance to make a decision. he didn’t even know that was what she wanted. she been lying and scheming but she mad at him for “lying” and that’s exactly why his daddy came at her like that. look at what she doing.
then wanna act all concerned and sad now that he shot. girl boo fr.

Excellent
I've been reading Connie Easton from book1 and she hasn't disappointed me once!!! My heart cried for Lori, she endured a whole lot. I was so elated when she and Davario found one another. I just hate that he waited so long to tell her the truth. I understand her reasoning behind leaving, but I wished she would've takes to him about it first. I can only imagine what his people are going to say to her when she returns. This was a great read and I can't wait to read part 2!

a top 10 read
As strong as Lori thinks she is running back to Houston and taking that baby was the weakest thing she’s ever done and made troubles dad right in every thing he said to her. Smh he didn’t deserve that and he’s done nothing but love and protect her. Had she told him she needed them to leave to mentally and emotionally feel better he would have done that for her I’m sure. I can’t wait for part 2.

Baybayyy! First of all, this book had me on a Rollercoaster ride so twisted that I was dang near sobbing! Oh my heart. That ending bout pissed me off but it's okay because she gon learn to stop running! Lawd I'm so happy there's another book cuz my heart just couldn't! I loved Trouble. So much. So glad he finally told her what was really good. Just wish her behind would've believed him all around. Any who, to those haven't read this book, do so!!

Damn love this book so much Lori was something else. However I didn’t like how she just left trouble like that she knew he was in love with her and he really didn’t lie to her. Hopefully when she go back to Detroit she will stay because I don’t know think smurf will want to leave her father for that long anyway. Can’t wait to part two come out

Baby you did that I can’t wait for part 2. This book was everything from the beginning to the end. I enjoyed it so much though I cried especially when Davie knew that Lori was her mother that broke my heart in a good way. I hope that Trouble makes it. I know that she’s going to go back to Detroit now. I can’t wait please don’t keep me waiting forever.

I know when you’re heartbroken you don’t always think clearly but how could not think that this woman is in trouble after she agreed to meet up with him ? ? ? Why wasn’t anyone watching her house ? ? ? Why did Lori continue to walk in the house ? ? ? Why couldn’t Trouble be honest about Davie after sLori told him about the abuse ? ? ?

This book was such a good read and took me on an emotional journey. The author masterfully captured the emotions of the main character, making me feel every high and low, from the bad to the good and back to the bad again. The storyline kept me hooked, and just when I thought I could relax, the cliffhanger left me eager for more. I’m headed straight to book 2 to see what happens next!

This story is so good. How two people meet and have more in common than anybody. They both have a good connection and drama is always lurking in the back ground. I have to read thecond part which is the finale to see how it all ends. Connie still doing your thing.

Entertaining read
A Troubled Soul was a mix of urban romance set in coincidences and second chances. Trouble was retired from the street life prematurely after losing his wife and child. Lori was a young lady trying to secure her future using the resources she has. The two meet and sparks fly. Little do they know that their lives are forever intertwined.
Lori was immature at times but I attributed this to her age. And while her behavior was on the fence at times, Trouble’s loudly didn’t waver.. when other dudes would have been out!
