Part history and part architectural glossy, Great Properties of Tasmania takes a look at some of the Apple Isle’s storied farms, the iconic buildings on them and the families that run them. In many cases the same family through generations for over a century. You drive past many of these farms in Tasmania without knowing much about them. The names are familiar, the homesteads often distant landmarks. Now we get a look behind the farm gate and what we see are beautifully maintained and operated farming ventures full of people passionate about retaining and restoring the heritage elements whilst engaging in often innovative agricultural practices.

A beautiful collection showcasing the finest rural properties in Tasmania. The stories of families, farms, buildings and animals are crisply written and the photos professional. These hidden gems of Australian farming in our smallest state does leave one rather envious though.
