A book to help you laugh about your insecurities, doubts, and sore spots, reminding you that it’s not just you—everyone is a little bit awful!
In this world, there are two inescapable truths. First, you will die someday. And second, you are horrible at a lot of things.
In this hilarious and relatable book, popular artist Natalya Lobanova invites readers to revel in the harsher realities of life. Through a mixture of comics, infographics, and activity pages, you can explore the myriad ways you may not be living up to your expectations, and ultimately (hopefully) learn how to accept your flaws and failures with a good self-deprecating chuckle. A perfect gift for perfectionists, pessimists, or anyone questioning themselves, Everyone is Awful is sure to put a smile on the face of every Debbie Downer.
Funny, painfully relatable and a must-read for everyone! I wanted to take pictures of all my favourite pages and the parts I could resonate with, but that would mean photographing the whole book.
I loved all 3 sections of work, love and life, all of which hit me hard on so many levels. There were time where I laughed out loud while reading this in public because the accuracy!
Definitely a book that makes you feel less alone. Highly recommend!
cant believe that something with v simple illustrations could make me laugh sO HARD LMAO rounding this up to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5!! had such a tiring day at work and this book rlly came at a right time for me to read when taking a break 😂 so relatable & truly found myself relating to almost every page!!!! i particularly love how it also emphasizes that everyone is not perfect and youre not alone in facing the struggles of life. 💚🌱 its also a great reminder to stop being so insecure & embrace your awfulness :') the contents are split into 3 major categories: work, love and life and it definitely helps to make it an easier read overall. wished i enjoyed them all equally though, i found myself leaning more towards the work category as i could relate to them the most HAHAHA anw!!! pick this up if you would like to have something light to read in one sitting! will definitely make you feel much better to read something relatable once in awhile too :) . . . #everyoneisawful #illustrations #illustration #work #life #love #draw #drawings #drawing #relatable #art #booklover #booknerd #bookvibes #bookworm #bookshelf #reading #happyreader #bookclub #booklovers #bookoftheday #bookishvibes #bookstorelover #readingtime #book #books #bookrecommendations #bookish #bookstagram #bookishlove
If a book could be my friend, this one would be my bestie! I love a good dose of reality and fun illustrations. And, guess what, this book has both!!
Divided into chapters about work, love, and life, this book tackles all the things that may (and probably are) imperfect for everyone. Even those awesome souls who pretend otherwise.
I brought this to the beach because…what could be better for a sandy, sh*tty day…but I finished it at the airport because where else can you see how awful people can be?!
If I were to rate it, I would give it ten thumbs up. But two will suffice, since it’s all I have.
“In this world, there are two inescapable truths. First, you will die someday. And second, you are sometimes truly horrible.”
Using drawings and humor the author reminds us that nobody is perfect, and that the life is harsh. The drawings are simple, and people are mostly drawn like stick figures. I am not a huge fan of this style. I did chuckle couple of times. But overall I didn’t find this book too entertaining. I liked the activities in the book . This part was fun.
Related in almost every pages when i'm working in corporate job, maybe this book is how life suppose to be lol. This book can also read in every day life when you need to remind that you're not the only one who sucks. Love it so far!
Should be three and a half! Great combination of mostly not-so-serious advice and life hacks with straight-up comic book humour. I thought it was charming, sometimes quite on point, and certainly something that put me in a good mood without being the least bit sugary.
Read this in one sitting at library. It was a really light and fast reading. Is this a life-changing self-help book? No. But I enjoyed the whole book. I enjoy the comfort this book gave me. I feel like I have read this book at right timing cuz those words are what I need to hear atm
Life, um , no, too serious? Take a break and look for humour, this simple little take on life, success, relationships, you. Enjoyable, but l expected more relatable laughs.
This might come as a surprise because of the title, but this is a good book to read at the beginning of the year. I've been reading on and off over the last few weeks and finished it today.
