A story of friendships formed in the most unlikely of places. A group of girls, each in search of something within themselves, find solace and comfort in each other's company while facing an unknown future. Sharing their stories, hopes and beliefs brings them closer to one another; the mind is a tricky thing, it can create a reality that is biased to your survival. Through the strong bond they create, they are able to learn from and deal with the decisions that brought them together and dream of a future different to the lives they're currently living."Tulia Nacola's second book is even better than her first. The stories that she weaves throughout the book are heartfelt and emotive, leaving the reader evaluating their own life, contemplating the joys they have in it and not wanting to take anything for granted. A pleasure to read from a brilliant author. Everyone should read this book." - Dr Katrina Talei Igglesden, academic & creative

Very interesting glimpse into very personal stories of prison inmates. Albeit the book is fictional, the stories appear to have real life inspirations. The plot, unfortunately, is very thin and serves more as decoration than really contributing much to the book, I feel like there could have been a lot of ways to make the book even more intriguing.
All in all a really solid and interesting book

Great book, short but impactful, giving a real insight into the lives of Fijian women in remand. The narrative centres the women so well, while giving you a story that keeps you wanting to read.
