Kringle, Texas #4

A Perfect Christmas Joy

Rate this book
The last thing single dad Dan Rowland needs during the holidays is to get roped into extracurricular projects, but he will do anything for his young son, Toby. So when fourth grade teacher, Joy Bakersfield, approaches him about pitching in to raise money for the school, he finds it hard to say no.

Joy recognizes that Dan and Toby are struggling to embrace the holiday spirit and as a dyed-in-the-wool optimist, she makes it her mission to help these newcomers to Kringle, Texas, find their Christmas joy.

But is Joy's hopeful cheeriness enough to convince Dan to open his heart to Christmas…and to love?

Lori Wilde can’t remember a time when she didn’t want to write. She even went to nursing school so she could have a schedule flexible enough to allow her to write on the side. She nursed for 20 years, working in a variety of settings from the newborn nursery to the recovery room, to dialysis. But she never lost her desire to write.

She sold her first book in 1994 to Silhouette Romance but later discovered she had a flair for comedy and branched out to Harlequin Duets and now, to Blaze.

Lori is an adventuresome soul who loves to travel. She’s taken flying lessons, completed two marathons, rode in a hot-air balloon, performed with a professional jazz band, traveled Europe as a teenager, hiked volcanoes in Hawaii, trod on glaciers in Alaska, shot white-water rapids, water-skied, snow-skied, raced all-terrain vehicles, bodysurfed in the Gulf of Mexico, and photographed grizzly bears in Yellowstone.

She lives in her native Texas, with her own real-life hero, Bill.

Sweet!

This is a sweet, clean Christmas story. New to town, Dan gets roped into volunteering with the holiday canned food drive at his son’s school. He ends up spending a lot of time with Joy, one of the teachers. But is he ready to open his heart to new love? Joy is dealing with her mother who lives in a different town and keeps insisting Joy move in with her. Can Joy and Dan overcome the obstacles and find true love? I wish the story had been longer.

The single dad and the teacher

This is the fourth book in Lori Wilde's Kringle Texas series. I really enjoyed reading this book. Dan is a single dad who moved to Kringle to give his son more stability and family. Joy was one of the fourth grade teachers that asked him to help at the school. They started falling for each other. Her mom wanted her to move to Little Rock to help her. Can they convince her mom that she will be happy in Kringle?

Second Chance at Love!

A Perfect Christmas Joy: WOW! Wonderful story of second chance at falling in Love! Dan moved back to Bring me to be closer to his family and thought it would be good for Toby. He had a meeting with the four grade teacher but he was not one for volunteering . Then when he found out that Toby praised him for being creative and helping out he couldn't say no. Great writing and characters.

Good series. It was like watching a hallmark movie! However, there were several typos throughout the entire series.... this is one thing that bugs me the most when reading. I understand the occasional typo but it was continuous in every book. But nice quick read that made me want to visit Kringle!
