The book is supposed to be about 2 people more or less in their 30’s, however they behaved like teenagers. The constant bickering about nonsense, the need to have the last word was exhausting. The novel was supposed to be a love story, however I just couldn’t see it. It was barely a friends with benefits type situation. Being friends is one thing, however I didn’t understand why Chasidy had to give a blow by blow account of her dealings with Bryron. Again very childish behavior. I actually don’t think that her friends, in particular Giselle were actually her friends either. Her constant ranting about Bryron when she didn’t really know him was ridiculous. Being a friend is lending an ear not butting in an passingly judgment constantly. Between the “I told you so” and her unnecessary comments about Chasity’s virginity, I was over her. The whole scene about asking permission to date was just laughable considering their age.
Who would have thought that a chance meeting at a stoplight would turn into a world wind romance? First of all, this was the first book that I’ve read by Nina B and it was pretty good. There were a few grammatical errors in the book, thus decreasing my rating. Chasity was a full grown lady, living with her parents who wanted to control her life. Bryron was a hurt bad boy who didn’t won’t to love anyone. They both challenged each other to the max. But eventually love won out. I am definitely open to reading more books from Nina B.
Nina B always amazes me with her writing! I truly enjoyed Bryron & Chasity’s story! I was a little scared of what was going to happen between them. From the back and forth with the arguing. To Bryron not knowing what he wanted to do, I didn’t think they would have made it work. I’m happy that they did! I hope to hear from Dean & Giselle! Great Job Nina B❤️❤️
Missing words throughout the story. The main characters were so unbelievable. Her parents were way over the top, Chasity was dang near thirty!!! Her friends needed to mind their own business. Oh and Byron meeting long lost family after all this time didn't make sense. The whole book was a challenge forget about love...
The Synopsis had me but the story was a struggle. The grammar in this story made me feel like a sixteen year old wrote it. To make matters worse, questions were left unanswered. WHY were her parents like that? What was the real reason for her to still be at home with unloving parents? I had to force myself to finish the book. Totally disappointed!!!
This book was very very slow. Most books I can read in a day this one took 3 days. It just didn't make very much sense. The characters were not well developed nor was the background story. I was a little disappointed.
I had highHope's, but they were dashed on the rocks. The characters were not developed very well, the dynamic between Chasity and her parents was implausible, based upon her age, and the grammatical errors were a distraction.
It was a challenge to finish this hodgepodge mess! The writing was sophomoric, there was no editing, no romance and the main characters were unlikeable. I try to always finish a book even if it’s good or bad. This was truly a challenge to get through!
It was an okay story. I was annoyed by the fact that two mature adults were behaving like teenagers. I found myself fussing at them and her parents while reading. Also some of the disagreements seemed to be contrived.
