✓The reason behind my decision to read this book was solely for its intriguing cover. But I'm glad I read it. There are two stories running parallelly with each other, based on different time zones(1980 and 2021). However, all of this is glued to one horrific incident. In order to know how, you must read this book. After reading the first few pages, I decided to not expect much from this but gradually, the plot and the storyline started captivating me. What to expect? Wonderful thrill and suspense which will leave you in awe. From Jungle and tribal adventure to the realisation of how greedy men can be, this book offers you everything. I loved it and I'll highly recommend this to all the readers out there.
Story begins with two different timelines set in 1980 & 2021 which potrays about modern world and tribal communities living in jungle.
Main protagonist Apoorv finds himself unconscious in the darker areas of jungle & unable to recognise his own identity. The jungle has no connection from the modern era. All of sudden when he started putting the efforts to search something he found a bag & ID card mentioning his name on it. He has tried to go deeper in to the jungle to get more information about his nearby surroundings.
Suddenly he met the tribal community people in jungle and tries to take help from them. But fate had written something else for Apoorv. He got indulged in mafia group which is residing in nearby areas of jungle. A big incident happened with Apoorv which has changed his life from onwards.
Modern era & Tribal communities life are two different approaches. Author has written this book in a very beautiful manner. All aspects related to both the timelines have been explained clearly which makes the story more suspenseful & gripping.
What exactly had happened to him? How did mafia group is connected with Apoorv? What suspense is lying between two timelines?
What if, I tell you this whole story is centered on one forest ? I was so amazed after reading the book. Right after reading it, I just turned off my light went back to sleep preserving the sense of awe, that was spreading all over my body. That’s what a good book does to you; it carries you to a different world and makes you live a thousand lives before you finally turn its last page. Suddenly Apoorav finds himself in midst of the dark forest. He has no idea, how he got there. The jungle is well protected by a group of tribal people. This group has managed to live their lives untouched by the recent changes in the evolutionary world, and they kill every foreign people to keep their integrity. In the same jungle, the Mafia group operates their dark business. They produce and supply drugs to market. As time demanded control, there was a small war raged between the two groups. Apoorav got injured in this battle, and someone from the tribal civilization discovered him. They are ready to kill him, but Pandit Ji of that group suggested that his life is way too valuable. He was marked in some superior position by Pandit Ji that saved his life, but for how long? How Apoorav was interlinked with the Mafia group? How can he help the tribal Civilization? All these questions can only be answered once you pick up the book. I will honestly admit that I never really read something that belongs to this genre. But I am so glad to state that I am not a bit disappointed. The storyline was developed intellectually; merging it with surprises and action. The story was divided into different sub-parts by how the author interlinked everything is truly majestic. The author has crafted strong and well-built characters. The author is an "Indian Prime Best Author 2021 award winner", and I am not surprised at all. I would highly recommend it to all the readers who love action and thrill.
Title - The Lost world Author - Pranay Bhalerao Pages - 250 Rating 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5
What a book! Fast paced, engaging, full of action, the book has it all. It switches between two eras, 1980 and 2021.
It starts with a bang, when Apoorva, the protagonist, finds himself in a barren land and has no clue about who he is or what he is doing there. He travels in search for information, some clue as to what he is doing there and come in contact with the tribal civilization that dominates the area. They are completely disconnected from modern civilization. There is another group, the mafia group also in the same area. Apoorva gets injured during the fight between the tribals and the mafia. The story weaves forward as the wisest of the tribals, Panditji makes a prediction that Apoorva will help them with the fight with the mafia. Two stories are running at the same time of two different eras. You need to read to know further. Many mysteries are unresolved which are part of the second book.
Overall, the story as said is fast paced and described with intricate details. The narration is spot on and I gear up to read the second installment. I award this master piece five stars. Great work done by the author. 👍
Filled with thrilling jumps and a compassionate story with a narrative sweep, this magnificent novel captures the most thrilling content for the readers.
With a very strong opening, the story hits the track with Apoorav lost in an isolated place with no trace of a single soul. With deleted memory, a bag for his needs, hunger and struggle for survival he starts exploring the location. The author has been very creative in creating the plot where three tracks run smoothly at a time.
The other of the tribals, who rule the jungle and challenge any intruders who enter there provinces. The tribals are leading an age old lifestyle with a ruler of there own. There is another track of the mafias who want to capture the jungle for there purpose. A very gripping novel with the three plots hitting each other and evoking the interest of the readers.
The novel takes an excellent turn when Apoorav faces the tribals, and kept in cage by Surya .Pandit ji gives few predictions as per astrology.
What is Apoorav's role in this novel ?
The tribals are seen in a battle with the modern man Do read this novel to find out whether Apoorva is in favour or against the tribals.

I appreciate the author who has spinned the narration with such a gravity . Pranay Bhalerao has created a thrilling concurrence of 3 stories which complete each other .🎯🎯🎯 What is the perception of Tribes about modern man and technology ?? 👌👌👌The book begins with eagles hovering over a body . The Lost World book by Pranay Bhalerao is a complete package of Thriller, Adventure, Mystery, Suspense.
The story starts with our Protagonist Apoorv waking unconscious in the middle of the forest. The forest was under the control of a tribal community, who are still disconnected from the modern evolution of the world. So they tend to kill outsiders.
On the other hand, Mafia also operates their drug business in the same forest. But when a battle arouse, Apoorv got injured in that battle, initially, the tribal people decided to kill him but a prominent man from the village told them he is the Savior to save this tribe.
Will Apoorv be able to save the tribe?
This is a fast-paced, captivating story with a well-written narration. The author gave us a well-crafted plot in an intriguing manner.
Living in this modern era, surrounded by gadgets, technology and big buildings all around, we are oblivious of the life in the forests that are far untouched by us. The story is about protagonist Apoorav, who one day finds himself in a forest, unaware of how he reached there. While finding his way out, he comes across tribes of the jungle and some mafias working there for a factory. Apoorav is held captive by the tribals since they don't allow any foreign species to be in their land. But somehow he's saved there and later comes in middle of both the groups. How was he saved from tribals? What's his connection with mafias? Will he find his way? The story is quite impressive. The life in the woods is very well described. The writing is understandable. The title and cover of the book is very apt. Indeed a good book.
This incredible book has an interesting story with a direct and straightforward language style. It's loads of amusing to catch wind of our hero's undertakings. This segment leaves you with a couple unanswered questions. The book's cover spoke to me much. The typeface is exquisite and direct. The cover's warm tone establishes the vibe for the story. Moreover, the title is entirely suitable for the account.
He comes across different things which he didn't even expected, he met different tribes and tried to know the truth about his destiny. Apoorv is the centre of attraction of the plot and he has been potraited very nicely. This story reflects the difference between mordern world and the primitive tribes of the ancient time. The principal topic of this account is the differentiation between the advanced world and the base clans of the past.
The story of the Book "The lost world" by Pranay Bhalerao starts by describing the beautiful nature of a unknown place then it is followed a boy named Apoorav who is stuck in the middle of a dense forest with only a back pack. He didn't had any idea about how he landed their. He surely had decided that he needs to find his way out but his destiny took him to a war between mafia and a tribe ruled by shanitirtha. There he got injured down his navel and saved people of the tribe due to few events. But how? What happened after? Was apporav even able to escape the forest or he lived there forever? To get answer of all these questions I truly recommend you to read the book. Cause the level of thrill this book can give you is totally unmatchable .
"THE LOST WORLD" by Pranay Bhalerao is a master piece, which includes mysteries, thrill and suspense. Here, two stories are driven parallely in a effective way. Every page of the book makes readers more curious about the further plot.
I liked a powerful characterization of a story. Main character is Apoorv. Story begins with the scene of a jungle where Apoorv awakened and finding a way to his home. There, he met different tribes and tried to know the truth about his destiny. A journey of Apoorv makes the story more realistic.
This story mainly reflects the difference between mordern world and the primitive tribes of an ancient time. The motive is how to connect them to the today's modernized world. Overall, its an enthralling story.
THE LOST WORLD" by Pranay Bhalerao is a masterpiece which can make its reader stick to the book for hours. This book is packed up with action, mystery and thriller.

What i like most about the book is the storyline and character of Apoorva . The story was extremely interesting full of suspense . The writing style of author was quite impressive.
Okay without wasting any words over here, diving straight into the review.
This book revolves around Apoorva as our lead protagonist. The plot keeps thickening as it oscillates between two timelines of 1980s and 2021. On a normal day, out of nowhere, Apoorva is found in a jungle, he doesn't remember his own identity nor does he remember what is he doing in a place completely off the charts of modernised human civilization and why did he suffer being a collateral damage between the tribals and the mafia lords.
What is the role of Panditji who sees him as the Alpha who'll play a vital role in safeguarding the interests of nature and tribes. Will Apoorva be successful in finding the broken link between his ancestors and himself and what lies ahead in the sequel is for you to find out.
Overall this was a back to back action thriller, Amazing suspense, plus it's a fast paced one. You'll get to see abundant character development as we the story develops at an absolutely optimum pace, have to say after Agnibaan, Kaizen , this was the one thriller I was missing. Also I love the books which pass a message with their plots and absolutely sure you'll enjoy the message this one reaches.
So go get it. Just one con, I hope the editing is a bit better in the next one. Apart from that the plot deserves a five star!
The book 'The Lost World' by Pranay Bhalerao is the first book in the 'Lost World' duology series. The book's narrative traverses two timelines. The book follows the protagonist Apoorav, who lands up in a jungle. The jungle has a tribal civilization, and a mafia is also working there. In the other timeline, the mafia is trying to set up a factory in the jungle, and the tribe comes in the way. What will happen when the tribes and the mafia come in conflict? What is the part of Apoorav in all this? Read this book to find out.
The book is written in a simple writing style, and there are many twists and turns in the narrative, which makes this an interesting read. The narrative is fast paced and the characterization is also good. However, the editing could have been better at some places. This is a riveting read in the mystery thriller genre.
The Lost World by “Indian Prime Best Author 2021 award winner” Pranay Bhalerao is a book filled with suspense, action, and an impending question about humanity
The story begins with a man in a deserted place who has forgotten everything about himself and unknowingly finds himself caught in the crossfire between tribals and a mafia gang.
The story is cleverly interwoven from different perspectives spanning across two different timelines that will keep you hooked till the end.
The language is fairly simple. However, this could have been improved upon with better attention to detail.
The plot twist, although intriguing to read, was predictable. However, the author has not compromised on the thrill and adventure that the blurb promises.
The book by Pranay Bhalerao,"Indian prime best author"award winner, The lost world.
A story of a tribe that never allows someone else's interference to it's livelihood or community. it's an adventure ride of a man Apoorav who finds himself at a place where there is no Life. Every event has a surprise thrill. It differentiates the era where people being more attached/attentive towards there excistence and those who don't care people's reactions to their thoughts and lifestyle.
Writing style is quite lucid and narration is simple. The cover and book name suits the story best. l've never been through such genre of reading, such a different topic to think of. Highly recommended because it's an astonishing writing!! happy reading 😍

Last month, I had read Pranay Bhalerao’s latest release named “The Protectors of Kavaach” which is Book 1 of a trilogy that he is working upon. I loved his narration and thought of giving chance to his earlier works and got his “The Lost World” duology purchased from Amazon. I just completed reading the first book named “The Lost World” which is of around 210-odd pages. I found some similarities in terms of how Pranay crafts a story – basically where he loves playing with two different timelines and leaving some commonalities in both of them which merges the characters and situations. This book is majorly based in the aesthetics of forestation where a tribe is being discussed which is evil for the modern man but has done nothing wrong as such.
While reading the story, every time you read about the tribe section, you find yourself sitting between the forest amidst tall trees. This is how beautifully author has created his world around the theme. The book has lot of characters and the way they have been given specific detailing helps you understand their persona well. I have a problem with the way characters are named that some names sound similar. On the same lines, even the name of the protagonist- Apoorav is hard to read every time you are reading the book loudly. These are just small concerns but makes a big impact in the reading experience. Otherwise, the characterization is good and the way they think and behave being from different set-ups is nicely described. You are able to distinguish the black and white characters easily. Similarly, you are able to identify when a character turns grey and changes sides.
The story keeps running in two timelines- 1980 and 2001. Author is able to convey the difference between how the world has changed within two decades itself. The whole gangster scenario of 1980 with the character of Vishnu has been nicely described where they want to rule each and every person around them. I just wish if author could have not named the villain as Vishnu. Well, am I getting too sensitive these days? Ok, let’s move on. 😐 The impact of the kind of damage tribe had to suffer in 1980 gets refreshed when a new set of challenges arise again in 2001 and they are confused if they should trust Apoorav or not- an outsider who has got stuck with them having blur memory of his past.
Without being preachy, Pranay has been able to talk upon the topics of how the original ecosystem of the planet is being disturbed for the greed of modernization. How human beings have turned selfish to think only about themselves is demonstrated at many instances. The depletion of forestation and the internal fight that keeps happening with the people staying there or nearby with the institutions or powerful gangs is narrated throughout the story. How the innocence of tribal people is demonstrated as devilish to serve the selfish purposes makes you feel so bad for these people living in their own world without causing trouble to the world outside. The benefits of Ayurveda etc. is also given prominence through conversations between the characters.
The chapters are kept short which makes it easy for you to travel back and forth in the timeline. The language is easy which makes the book a good pick for beginners who wishes to read a simple book but with a thrilling story. The pre-climax and climax are nicely written which is also quite difficult to grasp due to its fast-paced narration but author’s intention to give you adrenaline rush before ending the book to keep your excitement up for the Book 2 is evident. I somehow felt that I was watching a South-Indian movie in the way the characters and the conversations among them are defined. The whole forest section made me imagine it in the cinematic representation as displayed in Kantara and Push movie. This made the story little more exciting for me. Haha!
Now, talking about the drawbacks – I must say that the story is narrated just like a story without giving any depth to any character. Few characters such as Apoorav, Naina and Ramtirtha could have been given good depth. The romantic angle of the book could have had few very interesting chapters as a man from tribal world falls in love with a girl from the modern world. It is completely left unexplored. Similarly, there was so many human emotions which could have been given prominence while describing how a character reflects upon a difficult situation as there were many opportunities in the twists-and-turns of this story. But I think author didn’t think from this perspective at all and remained focused only upon how the story needs to move ahead.
Overall, this is a good read. I give the book 3.5 stars out of 5. I am going to read the next book in this duology very soon to know what eventually happens with the characters.
As I always connect to the stories of other books and so did I, whilst reading this one😁. Like in Kafka's "The Metamorphosis", Gregor Samsa wakes one pleasant morning, but not actually pleasant when he finds himself being transformed into a Huge Insect and from thereafter, he struggles to survive in his new vicinity. The same happened with the protagonist of "The Lost World." Apporav Upadhyay wakes up one morning and finds himself in a barren place.
The Writer has written "He did not remember who he was, where his family was, and how he landed in the barren place, ALL THESE QUESTIONS WERE SWIRLING IN HIS HEAD." I think, here, the Writer, somewhat sensed my mind since, these questions started swirling in my head more rapidly than in Apporav's mind. So, he (Writer) installed a seed of curiosity in the initial part itself and I went with the flow, afterwards. 🤭 One incident reminded me of "Gulliver's Travels". When Apporav, a MODERN MAN, fair complexion, chiselled body, with bullets, magazine, AK-47, and a Gun, small in size, light weight, and easy to use, was taken wounded and unconscious among the TRIBAL TROOP, people gathered around him and started gazing at him impatiently, as if to ask questions which could not be satiated. Similarly, when GULLIVER arrived on the land of Lilliputians, same situation arrived there too.😅
Basically the plot consists of two phases of a single story. One moves in the year 1980 and another in 2021. Tribal troop represents a group who is far fetched from the Modern world of science and technology. They have their own norms and ideals to live a dignified life in a detached land but serene. They were the people who don't even trust a speck on the Modern Men. And, Apporav is the one. And, how they build trust on Apporav? This is what brings an unsatiated Reader from within to turn the page on and on.
Distinguishing between the Moderns and the Ancients consolidated the plot and garnished it with Oregano on the story. Action too played a major role along with Mysteriousness, that still seems unfathomable. It will only be resolved after reading the sequel of this wonderful book.😁
With a title like this, who wouldn't read the book?
•The book has a creative cover page, which very well define the inner content.
•The story starts with description of Apoorav being stuck in barren land where there is nothing around. He was so much dried due to the high temperature there that cant even able to stand and walk. Finally he decided that he can’t stay for much time in this state so he started crawing towards the tree. He didn’t remember anything how he landed in this place. He searched his backpack got gun inside which made him to surprise. After too much of hard work he finally reached the jungle. The jungle had a tribal civilization which was ruled by Shanitirtha, he was the wisest and the strongest in the community.
•He got the news of a intruder and he commanded his troops to catch him before he can make into their village. The jungle was also home for mafia and their camp was away from the tribals. When the tribal troops were following Apoorav unfortunately they encountered some mafia men and Apporav saved them from the mafia group and even got shot down the navel.
How will Apporav scape the jungle? Will the tribals help him? What is the mafia doing inside the jungle? Get to know all these answers and follow Apporav on his adventurous journey. Buy your book now!!
•The author has woven the incidents very beautifully. This all adventure is glued with one horrific incident which makes the story interesting throughout. Even the book does not contains too much pages but it is packed with everything. It is a gripping tale of humanity and existence. Through the story the author want to convey that greed of men will not take them to a higher position, it will be ended by someone.
•The writing of the story is engaging and crisp. The plot and the storyline are outstanding. Actually I have no words to describe it. Author has done a great job by creating this story.
Some stories leave you spellbound with their effect and the narration skills. For me ' The Lost World ' will be counted as one of them from now. ••• The story starts with a boy feeling asleep in the dense forest , blue sky , heavy bag and some raw food , his identity cards and when he wakes up he coundn't recall of who he was and how he came here and after seeing his identity he recognises himself as Apoorv. As the story proceeds ahead , the mafia of the forest attacked him due to the misunderstanding and he gets injured and killed many of his men with his great fighting skills . The other tribe of the forest felt that how he had fought so hard with the mafia tribe of the forest and they got him from them and put him in a cage and the story takes it turn from there. ••• The tribe used to believe in a calender and that proved Apoorv is going to be a life saver at the time of destruction in the forest. The king being jealous about his popularity ordered his brave and courageous Surya , to kill him inspite of the orders of the pandit ji who said if Apoorv will be killed the tribe won't last long any longer. How apoorv came to that forest ? Is apoorv related to the forest ?? How he saves the forest and his member ?? •••• The story has done a great job I was so much involved in the story that I liked to have more of it. I would highly suggest the author to make a movie on it because the readers felt like they are watching a movie , the fighting scenes were written keeping in mind all the small details . The instances of the past have been bought in between but they were divided with the big headings that didn't make me confused. Can't wait to read it's Part - 2.

Working within their respective periphery and their own motives they get intertwined with each other in chain of events which exposes the raw nature of human being.
Overall, written in a simple and easy language, with raw and seemingly real plot coupled with stunning characters, author Pranav has made an intriguing commentary on the contestable and subjective issue of development, inequality and ever aspiring human being. Will recommend it to everyone!

Protagonist of the story is Apoorva who found himself in a jungle seemed to be no man's land place where any human existing couldn't be said, But he decided to walk out the place but unfortunately he found himself stuck in a deep dark jungle, where he saw tribal people, surviving on their own, without any contact with the modern world or use of gadgets like they do.
Our lead character was stuck between tribal people and mafias unknowingly and anonymously. When modern mafias wanted their land and tribals wanted to save their homes and jungle, they lead to war like situation amongst themselves and in this war apporva got injured and ended up being cought by tribals , but they didn't killed him although he looked modern , to know why go for your copy.
