She thinks he's annoyingly cocky. He thinks she's a nun.

Madeline Atwater hasn't been given a lot of choices in her life. When her twin sister unexpectedly dies, Madeline takes the opportunity to honor her memory and change the dangerous trajectory of her own life. Assuming her sister's identity, she sets off to a treacherous frontier moon to raise her newly-adopted son and start a fresh life for herself. There's only one problem - her sister was a devout servant of the church, so the faithless Madeline needs to pass herself off as one of the faithful, or risk losing everything if her true identity is discovered. She's just beginning to think she can pull it off, when a gorgeous dragon-warrior shows up, igniting feelings in her that are too strong to ignore and threatening to bring her whole charade crashing down around her.

Jett is a proud Invicta warrior, assigned to guard a baby on a remote moon for twenty standard years. It's the easiest job in the world, until an unwelcome mate bond binds him to the child's alluring mother within seconds of their meeting. Which wouldn't be so bad, except that she's already pledged herself to the church. As desire and sympathy combine to drag his heart closer and closer to Madeline's, Jett finds himself torn between his need to claim her, and his determination to honor her commitment to her beliefs.

When Madeline is sent on a mission to deliver supplies to another settlement, the two are thrown into very close quarters. As the hazards facing them begin to pile up, they finally begin to trust each other, and their true feelings come dangerously close to the surface. Will Madeline find a way to tell the truth before it's too late? Or will coming clean destroy their chances of finding happiness together as a family?

I received this book as an ARC reader. I feel so blessed to be able to read Tasha Black's books. This one was amazing. I absolutely adored Jett and the rest of the characters. Especially one little boy in the preschool. This authors world building and characters are amazing. I feel like I'm right there on the moon with them watching it all unfold the writing is so good. I can't wait for the next one to come out.

Madeline and Jett

For book 2 of this trilogy we meet Madeline, a woman with a LOT of secrets and her adopted son’s dragon warrior Jett, who believes in doing what is right and telling the truth. The conflict is set up instantly with Madeline taking her twin sister’s place to become Taj’s mother and the teacher at a church school. This is further complicated by the fact that her sister had dedicated her life to the church as a sister of the good faith.

Most of the story is about the secrets being kept and Madeline’s desperate need to live up to what she believed to be her sister’s calling. I will admit I was getting frustrated by the continued lies and guilt that stayed in Madeline’s part of the story. I think one of the things I loved about Aurora in the first trilogy is she told the truth to her mate right away. I wanted Madeline to do the same or at least admit it earlier. But it was understandable why she didn’t. Fear played a role in her reluctance as well as not wanting to let others down, especially her sister.

On the other side we had Jett, who not knowing the truth, was constantly swinging between desire to claim his mate and his desire to not force her to break her vows to the church. There was a moment where his guilt forced him to pull away from her and that was the catalyst for her finally coming clean- or at least part of the catalyst.

I really loved the community in this book. I worried that the presentation of the church would be used to shame or as a place of corruption, because let’s be honest, that has happened in fiction and in real life, but I was pleasantly surprised by how forgiving and kind everyone ended up being. It was also nice to see Madeline find her place, not quite in the same way her twin Maggie did, in the church and in prayer. Believing in goodness is always important and each time she placed her faith in others and in prayer she was rewarded. What a lovely message! Great book and can’t wait for the next!

“Jett: Alien Adoption Agency #8” is the eighth book in the Alien Adoption Agency series. This was a fantastic addition to the series, I absolutely fell in love with Jett and Madeline. Their story will suck you in from start to finish their characters were well developed and the storyline flowed smoothly I definitely recommend reading this story, you won't be disappointed.
M. Atwater can be Margaret or Madeline Atwater, they are twins who survived a difficult childhood and have chosen separate paths, as adults and both are survivors. Madeline knows the path she is on will lead to an early death. When, the opportunity arises she takes her sister’s place in the Alien Adoption Agency and becomes: Sister Madeline, a woman who has pledged her life to the Church and to adopt beautiful baby Taj. Ohhhh, baby Taj comes with a Sexy, Handsome Dragon Warrior, Jett. Jett is charged with guarding Taj and he realizes that Maddy is his mate. Life can be complicated especially when it starts with a lie and muddling your way to find the truth. Tasha Black writes a love story filled with love, caring, hard to put down and fast paced.

Wonderfully captivating addition to wonderful series of books
This was quite a different read from many of the others in the series and yet it was just as captivating but I found it to be a little more heart wrenching, the fact that Madeline had kept her sisters dream alive after she had become ill and died.
She had still travelled out to the new moon to take care of him and also is going to have the Invicta guard which she had not been aware of with both of them until her charge is twenty years old, he will protect the baby and her and keep them both safe until them.
I guarantee that like me you will be totally blown away by this wonderful book and the way in which Madeline is going to care for the tiny baby, she would do anything for her sister and this seemed the right thing to do.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Get ready for another outstanding must read, “JETT: Alien Adoption Agency” is the 8th amazing, romantic, fiction story with a fresh new plot, relatable characters & clever dialogue ... Plus some smokin’ hot chemistry between the H/h, Jett & Madeline ;) ... Always surprise twists and awesome attention-to-detail will send you on a trip to this other world, too :D ... I was grabbed from the start & did not want to stop whenever real life got in my way :o lol .... Even tho I always volunteer to read this author’s books prior to the kindle release date, I also buy kindle books whenever I am able... So I can honestly recommend this & any book by Tasha Black, to adult fans of fiction, and now, once again, I can’t wait for more, but I always will wait for worthwhile, fantastic page-turners like these!

Once again I will tell you I do love this series. The dragon shifter alien warriors are so amazing, and you get to see their soft side with the babies they protect. Madeline has arrived on a very dangerous moon to adopt the baby. She has a major secret she is trying to keep, and how she is supposed to convince the warrior, and the church that she is who she says she is is going to be a miracle. Life is very hard on this moon, storms, volcanoes, and every bad weather you can think of. Jett cannot believe that his mate would be a sister of the church, or is she. I have admit it did add some humor to this story. I so enjoyed this book and the author is so descriptive of both the characters and of the surroundings. You feel like you can picture everything in your mind. And I love the happily ever after

Jett & Madelyn

She lost her twin sister. One thing she could do to honor her sister is take her place to adopt the baby she'd been chosen to mother. It might be the only way for her to escape the life she hated.

It was an honor to be chosen to guard the child. As a warrior, he didn't think he could become so attached to him. When the adoptive mother came he was in for another surprise. The mate bond was instant but she had chosen the church--at least the woman he thought she was had.

Travel with the family and their workers on the dangerous journey requested by the church. Enjoy their path to love and family--if they make it out alive.

Dangerous, touching, steamy with great characters.

I think this is my favorite!

I really love Madeleine in this story. She felt so different. A young woman from a harsh childhood, and then a profession that shamed her, now wore the religious life of her beloved twin who had died. Madeleine keeps her secret tightly, even from the Invicta Warrior who is guardian to her adopted son, and whom she feels drawn to.

Jett was interesting as well. I have to say that though he felt overly possessive of her, it felt like he slipped into working with the community better than his brothers in the other stories did. He rather felt more real to me thus making the other folk he and Madeleine met more alive.

This story I would welcome reading again, someday.

Madeline's situation tugs at the heartstrings, she's a survivor with a big heart. What a challenge for this warrior dragon. There's more to Jett than being a warrior, his mate being very independent, brings to surface his more gentle side. Enjoyed reading their adventurous story and love how their detailed everything is described as they work through the obstacles of their alien environment and the newness of their mutual attraction. Wow, what a wake-up call for these two, author pulls off a delicate situation in a very classy way. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to read and leave a review.

Jett is an Invicta warrior, assigned to guard a baby for twenty standard years. Madeline is adopting that baby but she has no idea the warrior is part of the package. Madeline has taken the place of her sister Maggie who has joined the church and was to adopt the baby but she died so Madeline decided to take a chance and better her life by taking her sisters place. Since her sister made a pledge to the church Madeline is not able to act on her attraction to Jett without ruining what she has, a home and a family. Once Jett discovers her secret will he be able to forgive her or will she be out in the cold with no where to go? I love this book. Strong female character and a hot dragon warrior.

When you like strong heroines, alpha alien, adventures, stories with twists and turns, this is your series.
Madeline Atwater is on her way to become a parent and raise her adopted son on a far away planet.
Jett is a proud warrior who became th duardian for Madeline and the baby. What he didn't expect is to meet his soulmate. But Madeline has some serious secrets that show her not in the glamourosest light. But all is well in the end, so, A great read, 4,5 stars.

This was a really excellent entry for this wonderful series. Jett and Madeline's story is filled with rich emotion and heart. Jett was incredibly swoon worthy and I pretty much loved him from the start. As for Madeline, well my feelings about her weren't so simple. However, as the story progressed, I did warm up to her and by the end I actually liked her a lot. Major feels and steam, along with a dollop of cuteness are headed your way when you read this very moving romance. This is my forthright review that I am posting by my own volition.

I'm loving the series so far! Jett, Madeline, and baby Taj make a wonderful story! The side characters are great as well. You can tell through the story that what Madeline is worried about, no one would judge her for it. Buy seeing her grow and come to that realization is what makes it so good. Jett was so sweet and understanding, willing to do whatever is best for her. Baby Taj, perfect baby, happy and sleeping most the time, but still have those mom and dad moments. Good read and enjoying this series so far!

Loved this one. Great new addition to this wonderful series. This book is well written with real characters. The description of the planet is very well done. I loved Madeline. Life has kicked her but she has come up fighting. She will be a great mum to sweet Taj. Jett is strong and protective. I loved all the real and rounded characters. There are plenty of different elements that make this an easy to read page turner. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I highly recommend it. This is an enjoyable and interesting story.

This is the latest in the Alien Adoption Agency and it follows the tried and tested formula that's worked for the last 7. Like the others, this is a fairly short, easy read that gives you a great HEA within a short amount of time. I really liked this story and felt that it just had something that the others didn't. Maybe it was that Maddie wasn't just in it for herself. Whatever it was, I really loved the characters of Maddie and Jett. Even while he believed Maddie to be unavailable, he still would protect her with his life. Who doesn't want to be loved like that?

I just love this series with the adopted babies and hot Invicta warriors. This is a story about a woman, Madeline, who took her sister's place as the mother to adopt a special baby after her sister passed away. She is immediately attracted to the Invicta warrior, Jett, who's job it is to protect the baby for 20 years. Only when she reveals the truth to Jett and the new settlement that she is a part of, then good things happen. This is another 5 star story in this series that you cannot put down.

The blurb tells you enough about the story so I will just say that it is another tale set on the moon of Atropos. The moon is not the most hospitable place to try to start a new life, if the cold doesn't get you the rustlers might. Madeline may be masquerading as her sister, but she is not faking her determination. Jett is used to being the strong warrior, but he knows his mate can bring him to his knees with just a look. Baby Taj just needs to look cute.

I was given a copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

It pays to come clean

After growing up and living in such bad conditions it took awhile to realize you could be a good person whether you were religious or not. Revealing her lies to Jett & Brother Lorenzo made her feel better. Working with children so they had a brighter future than she did at their age opened Madeline's eyes. Nice the teacher and her husband could adopt the two boys.

Life be can complicated as a warrior and a woman and baby come together for a new life. Starting with a lie and finding what is important. Like so many of the books by Tasha Black, nothing is to be expected and that is why I so enjoy her writings. Sexy and loving and embracing. Positive. Bravo, Tasha Black!

Jett

Jet waited for the new mother to show up and when she finally did he knew she was his mate. Madeline thought she could hide who she was from everyone but found out that she was more honest than she thought. How will these 2 people come together. Read the recommended book and series.

Well done

I wasn't sure about this one at first. As a person of faith, I often find authors writing people of faith into a cliche box. This story started out that way, but Madeleine learns that her perception of religion is the cliche and these individuals just want to make a community of caring people. Some exciting adventure happen along the way. Definitely worth the read.

I just love this series. These Invicta Warriors are the stuff that great warriors are made of. Giving up the warriors' life to be guardians of a baby and then get to be mated to a human may seem odd but in the end it's worth everything.
