Carrie Moore has been writing and reading since she could put sentences together, but life often stood in the way of completing her own stories. Thanks to her “big kid job,” she’s finally able to write about characters that are flawed, yet strong.

Carrie lives in Nebraska with her partner in their “puppy palace” (yes, the dogs are in charge; humans are just there to feed them and rub their bellies) and continues to write romance between crochet and knitting projects.

I didn’t invent this twisted system that pits us against each other and makes us do ill things for status—but I do know how to play it”. The line as stated above bears an apt relationship with the overall theme and context of the book at hand and how the same occurs shall be briefly presented below.

The length of the book at hand remains to be 288 pages and the overall theme of the book revolves around the character of Michael Caraway who happens to be a 24-year-old who is willing to explore newer dimensions of his life in the form of career prospects which he can ensure but this leads to a chance encounter with Ms Olivia Emerson and this interaction remains to be capable of becoming a Pandora’s Box for him for there are secrets involved. Delving deeper, the book has been divided into 19 chapters. The first chapter of the book starts with detailing the life of Ms Olivia Emerson and sets the stage for the readers with regards to his educational prospects concerning a class he is attending. Additionally, it further details other characters as well thereby not keeping the initial part way too much involved around Michael and the same is capable of keeping the reader’s attention ability intact. As the chapters progress further, each of the chapters is of such nature that it leads to another thereby increasing the gripping aspect of the book as well and the same happens till the end.

The writing style of the book revolves around the aspect of Simplicity and Diversity as the presentation aspect remains to be a rather simple one rather than a verbose one. Additionally, another aspect of the book which adds to it remains to be the language of the book as in the book at present there has been made usage of the Adult language as well and bluntness. The usage nowhere hurts the presentation as it makes the book complete for it remains to be in congruity with the overall theme discussed.
