"All things work together for good for those who love God." A.J. Avila's latest novel brings this scripture to vivid life, showing the way God can make the best out of the worst circumstances. The protagonist, Prudence, loses her boyfriend, her apartment, and her job in quick succession, ending up with just $3 and a rattletrap car to her name. Then, by the middle of the book, a wild stroke of good fortune starts to turn things around--but at times Prudence wonders if she might have been better off broke....
I don't want to tell you too much more, except that this is a page-turner full of surprises. Avila has a wonderful gift for putting her characters through the wringer, then bringing them out the other side both better off and wiser. An enjoyable, rewarding read!

In case you ever wondered
If.you ever puzzled over a series of coincidences in your life or in another's that ended in an unexpectedly good way this book shows the working of God's will. Miracles are still happening, but unrecognizable to one without knowledge or one denying the very existence of God.
This story lays it out quite clearly. Whenever we pray, if we watch sometimes we can see things being arranged, opportunities opening. Coincidences happening before our eyes.
This book was an excellent reminder of events in my life. It reminded me He is still present and involved.

Excellent Story!
This book kept me up until the morning broke because I had to see how it turned out. What a sweet, sweet story (without being sappy) it turned out to be! God truly works in mysterious ways.... and all things really do work for the good for those who love God.
