I do love a second chance love story and this anthology is packed with them!
My Way Back - K L Shandwick (4 stars)
What a sweet, heartwarming novella this was, I really enjoyed reading it.
It was clear from their chemistry that Lennie and Kitty had loved each other since they were teens but both made some horrible mistakes which caused their split. When a house disaster allows Lennie back into Kitty's life, we got all the angsty tension I love with this trope as they reconnected and learnt the truth, the heartbreaking reasons that caused their separation.
Lennie was an absolute sweetheart, caring, supportive, patient and adoring. He wasn't about to lose Kitty again if he could help it, if they could both just forgive each other for the past hurt and move forward.
I'd love more from this lovely couple if the author ever wanted to expand the novella, there's definitely some intriguing potential to!

I voluntarily read K L Shandwick’s ‘My Way Back’ as an ARC, as with all her books this is a story not to be missed!!!! Lennie and Kitty were together when they were younger…….Life gets in the way and they separate but as this is a second chance book of course they get their hea and the hot 🥵 sex scenes had me fanning myself 😜😜😜

I loved how Lennie and Kitty find their way back to each other. The heat between them is hot! Can't wait for the next book! Loved this one!!

My Way Back by K. L. Shandwick is a beautiful second chance story. Lennie and Kitty have hard feelings from a bad breakup a few years back. Finding herself in a bind of a plumbing disaster, Kitty finally opens up and they talk it out. I loved their story.

My Way Back is a wonderful second chance romance story – perfect for this anthology.
Everyone needs a Lennie in their life. I particularly enjoyed witnessing his caring and supportive nature when Kitty needed someone. Their attraction to each other and their love for one another never diminished over the years, and this was evident throughout the short story. I could see that Lennie and Kitty were destined to be together, and I hoped that they would find their happy ever after.
It was fate that brought Lennie and Kitty back into each other’s lives. I was devastated to learn of the circumstances that kept them apart. This story brought out many different emotions in me – which I loved. I’m hoping that the author may expand this novella in the future. I’d love to see what happens next!

I've only read KL Shandwick's story at this point but have bought a copy to read the whole anthology.
KL's story is beautiful and sensitive, even though the characters have a past and there was some bitterness they never lost their love for each other. As circumstances force them to confront everything it gives them their second chance. I loved how supportive Lennie is when Kitty needs it most, the banter and honesty they give each other even though the words might hurt. I would definitely have liked her ex to get his come uppence for his behaviour but it didn't in any way spoil my enjoyment of an emotional and inspiring read, I found it easy to get lost in and soak up and loved the characters. Wonderful happy ending.

I wasn't familiar with a lot of the contributors to this anthology, but for me, that's usually a bonus. What better way to discover a few new go-to authors than to read short stories and novellas from a bunch of them?
I was fortunate enough to get a peek at one of the stories in the colletion – Jeanne Bannon's Love Struck and what a read it was. It starts out as a sweet love story about a Hollywood celebrity fleeing an unhappy marriage and a small town property manager who's learning to live again after losing everything that matters to him – and then it takes a much darker turn.
If all the stories in this anthology are half as good as this one, I'm going to have some late nights getting all of them read.

When Kitty needs help Lennie comes to her rescue and soon all those old feeling are simmering to the surface. Is this their chance to finally get their happily ever after.
Perfect for this anthology and I would love to see a little more of these characters in the future.
