A note from the author:
Thanks for visiting my Goodreads page.
I wanted to tell something meaningful about myself, but let's start with the important stuff--I love swoon-worthy heroes. The kind of heroes that are strong and would take a bullet for you, but also want to open your door and listen to you pour out your heart.
What else? I grew up moving. If you’ve read my books, you won’t be surprised by this. I have a lot of moving themes through my books centered around characters experiencing pain from someone moving.
It was hard. But, I believe there’s always a seed of good that comes out of everything hard, so I think the best thing that came from it was that I learned to love books.
And I had to learn a lot of mad skills on friend making. It gave me a love of people…good people, compassionate people. Interesting people of all kinds.
What else about me? I am a mother and wife! I have four amazing boys that are like little ninjas running around. I love them so much and I’m so grateful for my amazing husband who doesn’t get intimidated by all the billionaire men in my life.
I have a fierce love of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for Him and for the healing and forgiveness I’ve gotten to experience in my life. This is a theme in many of my books.
I love being an American. I am so proud of the men and women that support and preserve our freedom. This is another theme you will find in my books.
I am so grateful for my fans and for the support and love you all show me! Don’t stop reading!
3.5 stars, rounding up because I really needed a light, sweet romance to take the edge off a really depressing book I just finished. This was perfect for that. It had some fun, flirty scenes.
Perfect escape to ring in the new year It's always a great day when I can escape to Snow Valley! In fact, I went to Montana last summer and was on the lookout for a sign pointing me to this beloved small town. I never found it, but I was so excited to immerse myself into this setting for a time.
Jax and Tia have a few things in common, besides only have 3 letters in their names. They both have crazy exes and roots tying them to Snow Valley. They also have lost loved ones and have endured shattered dreams. I love how Jax's military training, and attraction to a certain flower girl, kicks in when her ex harasses her and they somehow end up being in a relationship. It's fake, but still.
The events leading up to a big New Years dance were so great, especially Jax's stipulations. I loved watching this couple get to know each other and they way they were able to open up. This read was a great way to bring in the new year.
Snow Valley...I'll be back for you!
Content: mild romance; mild religion; very mild war descriptions
The small town of Snow Valley has had so many good romances. The chemistry between these two is really good and I really enjoyed all the great characters. This is a sweet, clean romance.
I love Taylor Hart’s Snow Valley stories. Tia and Jax make outstanding protagonists. Oddly enough, the scene where they meet for the first time and instantly create a fake boyfriend/girlfriend relationship comes across as genuinely believable. The entire story smacks of believability all the way through. I admire that Ms. Hart instilled a great deal of self-control in Jax’s character. Had it been up to me, I would have had him punch Brad’s lights out. But, since Jax is a Navy SEAL and his hands are “deadly weapons,” Ms. Hart’s approach was the correct one. I also appreciated how the author instilled a belief in God in the lives of both Tia and Jax. Well done, Taylor Hart! I award five-stars for this story.
Jax Casey doesn’t disappoint. He is a Navy SEAL with a wounded heart. He comes to Snow Valley to assist his grandpa, who is in the hospital. He meets Tia and forms a fake relationship with her to get her ex to leave her alone. Tia has her own heartbreaks to deal with and Jax is the guy to help her heal and believe in herself. Tia gives it right back. I enjoyed the story very much. The couple was very likeable and I am a sucker for tough military heroes that have a heart of gold, just waiting for the right one to love.
This was a cute, short, sweet, light-hearted romance.
What I liked: The author did a good job of writing a lead male that was attractive and masculine. Sometimes I don't feel any attraction to the hero, so I have to stop and look at the cover or something for inspiration. But thankfully, that wasn't necessary here. I liked that they chose to forgive past hurts. I liked that they waited until they were married to be intimate.
What could have been better: Kind of a big shock to have especially having the background he has. I suppose a miracle like he experienced would make that slightly more believable... I feel like the leadup was the best part of the book, and then the fight and ended up being kind of a letdown for me for some reason. The story wrapped up a bit too quick. Chemistry level was medium. Also, there was a lot of talk about God. I agreed with everything that they said, but it did feel kind of heavy on the religion. I don't mind that necessarily, but for some reason the way it was done here just felt like it was being laid on a bit thick. Maybe too much telling and not enough showing? At the ending, I noticed that the writing was kind of bland.
Still, a fun little shot of romance. Kind of dime-a-dozen variety of book, except that it was clean so that makes it more special. The short length is perfect.
A book that won’t disappoint. When your ex won’t take no for an answer, you need a Navy SEAL. When Jax went to Snow Valley it was to help his grandfather after a heart attack. His grandpa’s first request was for Jax to buy a bouquet of daisies. Jax arrives at the floral shop as Tia is racing to complete arrangements for the next day. As she is helping Jax, Brad, her ex-boyfriend, arrives demanding her attention. Insisting that they should get back together and accusing her of not having a date for the upcoming dance. Quickly she grabs Jax’s arm and announces that they are dating. Jax, as a SEAL, is more than prepared to go along with the charade to protect Tia. Now the problem is that they will need to act as a couple and convince the town it’s real. A great story to enjoy.
A quick read but I didn't really love the characters. The insta-love (this is a 2 week time period, and only 5 days of actually getting to know each other) was off putting and the banter wasn't even that great. But there was some cute moments and I'm a sucker for fake boyfriends. Their start in the flower shop to deter an ex wasn't as cheesy as it sounded and they did hit on some heavy topics but meh.
Also I missed the part about this being Christian so no smut and a little God heavy, but not too bad.
It’s good to be back in Snow Valley and going forward with the Snow family tradition of fake boyfriends/girlfriends. Sometimes you just need a tall, handsome man to put a cheating ex-boyfriend in his place. The fact that he is a navy Seal just is the cherry on top. Taylor Hart had a history of dragging me into her stories and making me feel good. Sticking to one kiss a night seems to have worked. I really enjoyed this book.
Tia and Jax grabbed my heart and never let it go! Great , c!ean, fun, romantic, swoony read! It was so fun being back in Snow Valley, hearing about old friends and Tia and Jax, couldn't stand Brad though😂😂😂. I'd definitely recommend this book. I couldn't put it down once I started it.😁
Everyone has some bad things happen to them in life. Jacx sees Tia is in the middle of one at the flower store. Should he help? Of course, that's what he has been trained to do. Taylor has written another wonderful story with strong and believable characters. I couldn't put it down. I believe you will love this one too.
Aww, this was another of your best, Taylor Hart. Loved it from beginning to the end, laughed, rejoiced and worried with the characters. Loved their " preach-iness" 😁. It was simply SUPER! THANK YOU!
Wowsa this book is the first book I've read from this author and I loved it. The storyline flowed from the beginning until the end. Cant wait to read more from this author.
I loved it up until the very end...I hate when it seems like the only option for clean, Christian romance is a proposal 5 days after meeting someone. An HEA doesn’t have to be instantaneous.
I loved Tia and Jax! Fabulous fake relationship story. Can they make it real? Can they forgive and let their exes go? Get ready for some Snow Valley Magic. I highly recommend this book! Happy Reading!
A heartwarming story that involves learning to let go of the past and forgive others as well as forgiveing yourself. Once that happens, God can bless in so many ways. A sweet and romantic love story.
I loved this sweet, clean romance. The characters of Snow Valley are typical small town people that love and support one another as well as gossip. Who doesn't love a Navy SEAL! I know i can always count on Taylor Hart for a entertaining story!
I love SEAL romances and this was a fun and different one for a change. I liked taking him to a small town but still having a bit of the protector angle. I’m looking forward to seeing where we land in Snow Valley next book!
Tia and J were falling hard for each other from the start with love growing between stronger than ever beforehand knowing. Having her saiding Yes to his question of marriage proposal.
This was such a fun book! A tough Navy seal comes home to help his grandpa not realizing he would soon become a fake boyfriend in exchange for a kiss each day.
