"I knew you were a shifter, but I've never seen anyone turn into a cookie before. You're a fucking gingerbread man cookie."

I normally don't go and read the eight book in a series without reading the others, but this one seemed the most interesting so I said why not. And as a result I feel like I missed out on some story so I probably should've went to read the others anyway...

The thing is though, this didn't grip me enough for me to want to continue the series or see what came before. It was an okay read, but I was expecting a bit more from it. There were a few funny moments, and a lot of dramatic ones, sadly it didn't work for me.

A sexy paranormal romance with a hilarious curse, lots of twists & coookiessss! A short, steamy fated-mates story that I read in one-seating (1hr). I got this as a Christmas freebie :-D

Rory is a bear shifter who also has a ‘sneeze-shift into cookie’ curse, on his quest to become the gingerbread king, he has taken over many bakery's in town. One of which is Blaze's (human who knows about shifters), which she's not gonna give up!

They got off on the wrong foot, but finding out they're mates, were all in. Until the shifter council stepped in to use Rory's curse for nefarious purposes *gasp*.

We get only Rory's POV, the story is dramatic, very amusing, the world-building is good. I felt a bit confused on few bits, but maybe that's because I'm in the middle of the series. The action, resolution & rescue were fun!

Our Blaze+Rory are able to complete their mating *cheer*, but I'm looking forward to more books about them, the full curse, & other couples here!

This short read was quite entertaining. After reading the blurb, I just had to read this. I mean, c’mon…a gingerbread man cookie shifter?! Sold.

I was thoroughly amused for most of this story. A couple of steamy scenes were a nice addition to the fun. I definitely would like to continue this series so I know how Rory does with his curse. There were a few spots where I was a bit confused, but maybe I needed to read a book (or more) before this one? Anyhoo, I still found this humorous and recommend it for a quick filler if you’re in the mood for a few giggles.

Shifter speed dating, gingerbread cookie shifter, bear shifter, fated mates yep sound a bit crazy but that is what we get when Rory is a cursed shifter, he is a bear that shifts into a gingerbread man (just imagine it and you will be laughing), and he also owns most of the bakeries. Blaze a human, raised by a shifter dad, owns the bakery Rory just took from under her but she isn’t giving up without a fight for what belongs to her. But when they meet he knows she is his fated mate and she knows it as well she can feel the pull growing up knowing about shifters and all but when the council who I think is up to no good (using mates) come knocking Rory does what is requested by the council it doesn’t end the way they think it should or will only after a kidnapping and find themselves on the run but is it enough for her to give in to the matting bond and can they be happy with him still being a gingerbread man?

What cute story! Rory and Blaze make a great pair both go for what they want and both feel that mate pull within minutes of being near each other. This story moves quickly, Rory is a bear shifter with a strange curse put upon him and Blaze is human raised by a shifter step-father. She knows the scoop about the mate bond. Well in comes the council and stirs things up.... sounds like they are using the mates for improper missions, but no proof. Rory does as he's asked by the Council and then his mate and friends rescue him and off they go! Mate bond is solidified, bear released however the curse is not broken but neither one is too worried.
Looking forward to the next book! I received this book from the author as an ARC in exchange for my honest review, hope you enjoy the story as much as I did!

I’ll be honest, I didn’t read the synopsis before reading this so I had no clue what kind of shifter Rory was but boy was I entertained. Rory has had a curse on him for 400 years so when he sneezes he shifts into something a little unconventional. This was a bananas idea that works because it’s so out there.
I’m not a fan of Insta-lust and the only time it works for me is in a fated mates scenario. Blaze and Rory’s passion leapt off the page. Very, very hot!
I got a little confused with the whole council segue but it didn’t detract from my enjoyment.

Short and fun start of a series


I have heard of people loving cookies but this takes the biscuit ! A laugh a minute story of a cursed shifter with perhaps the most bizare curse ever . It is part of a series ( I am glad to say as I would hate not to know how this one continues ) Fun to read and just hope the next book follows without to much delay . Do read this or you wont necessarily follow the next book and if it is as funny as this one that would be a shame

An excellent addition to to the “Totally” series. Rory is the cutest shifter imaginable - a gingerbread man cookie, thanks to a centuries old curse that has locked his natural bear away and comes on anytime he sneezes. Blaze is the fated mate he doesn’t really want but decides to take anyway. Against their will they’re thrown into a mysterious plan of of the Council’s and end up on the run. Totally steamy and heaps of crumbly fun. Can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.

A Quick and Steamy Read.
Thanks to the author for this very different and humorous shifter romance. I was totally caught off guard and that was fun. There is an Epilogue available that is totally steamy. Rory and Blaze are a fun couple and I could see this storyline being successful as a full fledged storyline.

This is A Shifter Speed Dating Romance mating love story for Balze and Rory. Okay Rory's shifter is a bear but being cursed he turns into something so funny. I know that is one way to dissapear if you do something so funny like that shift. I loved this one the best. I hope someone stops the council from hurting anymore shifters and their mates.

This is a cute shifter romance between Blaze and Rory. The author brings a humorous twist with a bear shifter/cookie shifter in Rory. I had a few chuckles with some of her descriptive scenes as well as the bit of drama and suspense along the way.It's well written,moves quickly and smoothly and enjoyed reading their story.

A quick romance read about a cursed gingerbread cookie shifter, and the fated mate he never thought he'd find. You read that right. If you like your shifter stories short, unique and a lil steamy, you've really got no other choice but to pick up any of these Shifter Speed Dating stories, because this was heckin' cute. Rory is looking at his newest bakery when he realizes that Blaze the original owner is still there and baking to boot. Blaze does not care that Rory is a shifter who bought her bakery, or that he is apparently her fated mate. Both can not resist the bond but are upset the council has used it to once again control things they want.

This is my first book in the Shifter Speed Dating , so maybe I was missing a bit of background, but this story seemed like it started mid-story, like the first chapter or two were missing. We’re thrown in right as Rory and Blaze meet, and all of a sudden they’re all over each other, with no personal background on either character. Don’t get me wrong, I thought this book was great, with plenty to enjoy and even giggle about, I just wish there was more of it!

Wasn’t sure how the gingerbread man shifter was going to be portrayed, but I am pleasantly surprised. Little by little the background of the council is being revealed. Glad all these short stories come with a bonus epilogue. Love them.

The author has given us a quick read that pulls us into the lives of Rory and Blaze. He is a bear shifter that has been cursed and shifts into a gingerbread man cookie anytime he sneezes. She is a human that is familiar with shifters. When he is arrested and she is kidnapped, things get crazy for them.

Rory found an error in Blaze’s title, he used the mistake to by the bakery away from Blaze. He went to check out his new bakery and found Blaze working and they realized that they were mates. Rory sneezed and he changed forms and was so cute! So the council kidnapped him and Blaze because of his form they needed to use him to put up some surveillance things at a house. Good book!

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW of Totally Frosted, the eighth book in The Shifter Speed Dating series by Zoey Indiana. I really enjoy this series and this read is no exception. Rory and Blaze are a hoot! Rory is cursed and shifts into his cursed form when he sneezes (much to his dismay) and Blaze is human with a stepdad who is a shifter. Rory is acquiring bakeries to form his empire and he isn't concerned about the morality or ethics used in his endeavor. He is getting ready to inspect his newest acquisition when he realizes the former owner hasn't left. What ensues is nothing short of hilarious, sweet, sexy and life changing. Throw in a curve ball by adding drama brought on by none other than The Shifter Council and Rory soon has more than he anticipated. A great story with some resolution and a lot of laugh out loud fun!

Choppy narrative

I like the idea of a quick, easy, cute shifter story (a gingerbread shifter?) But the narrative is choppy, it moves so fast that it feels like there are steps that are skipped, with peripheral characters and situations that aren't explained, for instance, how do you just take over a private business without the owner's consent? Not as fun as I expected.

This story is sweet in so many ways. The romance is sweet and the cookies definitely are too. The story is very funny and still has danger. Add in a curse and except anything. The two main characters are great and have the whole enemies to lovers theme going on that gets hit with fated mate.
