We absolutely devoured this book. It was such an easy read, and we are excited to see what book 2 will hold.
Amelia's college life is not going to planned when she somehow ends up living in a frat house with fourteen demons, and...... she is a human.
The book is full of intrigue, suspense, steam, and witty banter. We loved all of the characters and cannot wait to find out more about each of the demons' backstories.
Amelia is a strong, kind and accepting FMC and we love that about her. It will be interesting to see where her journey takes her.
This is a new author to me and I definitely will be reading more of her work!! The characters were well developed and the storyline was intriguing, suspenseful and exciting. When Amelia shows up at college nothing goes according to plan. So when a frat offers to take her and she is hesitant but takes them up on their offer. Now she is the only human living with 14 demons in the frat house, what could go wrong? I can’t wait for book 2 of the series!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The witty humor and banter was great. What could be better than a house full of demons and one female lol. It's a reverse harem loves dream come true lol. The book had an excellent storyline kept it entertaining enough and exciting enough to make you not want to put it down. It had just enough heat and just enough character development as well as group dynamics that you didn't feel like you were missing anything.
As I've stated before, those authors who refuse to warn about s*xual assaults will receive no leniency. Not a single peep in the blurb about her near r*pe. I will avoid this author at all costs from her out. If authors refuse to respect readers, then readers should not support such authors. Another one to add to my growing list of authors to avoid. I no longer forgive authors who refuse to warn. My mental health is more important than their star count.
I absolutely loved this book!! Its so well written and the characters are amazing. The female lead is strong and I definitely enjoyed that. As well as the character development of multiple of the characters that made me fall head over heels inlove with them!! So excited to read more from this author!
I was lucky enough to get am ARC of this book and loved IT! the chemistry between the 2 main MCs is off the chart. Amber has done an amazing job with this one and even the side characters grip you, I'm anxiously awaiting book 2!
I wanted to give this book a shot. I started it in 2022 but immediately got p*ssed off when I saw the sorority name referenced in this story. I thought with time I would calm down and be ok but I'm not because this isn't the first time an author has done this.
The blatant disrespect had me DNFing this book. I'm sorry but Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is the FIRST African American sorority founded in 1908. 1908 was a time when African Americans could not join or be a part of anything associated with white people. Therefore; we had to forge our own path and make a way. To see MY sorority name used all willy nilly in a book that has NOTHING to do with the rich history of said organization is Disrespectful AF.
Here's an idea. Authors start doing your research before using organizations in your books that you know NOTHING about.
I really enjoyed this story, I liked Amelia and the introduction to the group of demons with their various proclivities. I enjoyed how the story unfolded, although Amelia's naivety was a bit grating and seemed like a clumsy narrative vehicle at times. The character interaction, connection and growth between them all made it all worthwhile for me. I did find the non-con scene a bit heavy handed in that I thought it was unnecessary and could have been written more cleverly. I will note that appropriate content warnings have been added since previous feedback from other readers has been given. I'm looking forward to reading subsequent books in the series and seeing the wider story unfold.
I will also note that in the kindle version there were several proof reading errors. Some seem to be autocorrect errors, others are missing words and this hampered the reading experience at times.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I could not our this down. I really enjoyed all the male demons and loved that she was very special through out the books and led up to a great ending. The plot is so sweet I can't wait for more
Amelia goes off to college and joins a sorority. The girls are all beaches to her and take photo of her naked to use as blackmail so she follows their rules. She leaves and is on the street when two guys stumble upon her and offer her a place at their frat.
She meets all the guys living there. They’re all different types of supernatural beings and are all super nice. They continually remind her that they’re dangerous and could kill her because of their nature even though they really care about her. She has a vague memory of being attacked by a vampire when she was younger so she’s not super surprised by anything but she is terrified of vampires. She later meets Oliver who lives in the house and is a vampire. None of the boys’ powers work on her.
She joins the drama club where Oliver also goes and gets the lead role in a play. They have a kissing scene and Oliver needs to practice touching her so he doesn’t get the urge to bite her.
A guy named Tyson asks Amelia out. She has a nice date with him but when he drops her off, she can’t kiss him because she sees Oliver’s eyes. Tyson asks her out to a frat party the next day. She goes and Tyson spikes her drink and gets her alone with two other guys and there’s an attempted rape. The most that happens is her clothes getting a bit torn and held down. Oliver saves her and ends up killing Tyson on accident.
Mr. Pierce is Oliver’s father and he monitors the boys to prevent incidents. He finds out Amelia knows about all of them and the punishment is that she gets turned or killed or Oliver is killed. Oliver goes to his father to save Amelia. Amelia finds out and tracks him down and reveals she was attacked by a vampire when she was younger so she knew they existed already.
Amelia finds out one of the boys is her cousin and who her birth parents are. She also learns why she can resist the powers of everyone.
I liked the idea of the storyline and I don’t have many complaints. My biggest issue was how juvenile everything seemed. It felt more YA than anything. I also thought both Oliver and Amelia were a little bland. I think the story could have used more editing and added detail.
Triggers: Attempted SA, death Heroine: honestly a little bland to me. not a total pushover and not a lot of character. She’s a virgin Hero: Oliver was a little bland to me too. He’s sweet and takes care of Amelia and doesn’t want to hurt her. He’s standoffish at the beginning and is described as having no emotions but it’s doesn’t take long to crack through that emotionless front. He’s also a virgin because he has trouble touching anyone. Spice level: 3/5. There is one graphic sex scene and a couple more kinda graphic ones but it doesn’t dominate the story and honestly seems a little out of place compared to the rest of the story.
HEA, no cheating, no OW/OM drama (Amelia goes on a date but it’s before she’s with Oliver and there’s no hanky panky between them)
I received a free copy from Voracious Readers but these opinions are entirely my own.

When you start a book and think you're going to read a good paranormal romance and the book is so much more, well, all one can do is simply devour it! Which I did...so much so that I had to go read book 2 immediately, no "stop at go" no "write a review" as soon as I'd finished as I normally do, just a desperate need for book!
Going to college, being in a Sorority is cool, right? Ummm, no, not for Amelia. Kind hearted, sweet Amelia is bullied by the Sorority sisters before she can even unpack! She did what any normal person would do, she fled. Only one problem, she had nowhere to stay... when she's offered a room in a fraternity, she had no idea what she would discover! Hell, I had no idea what she would discover!
What a housefull of interesting characters! No, not only are the occupants so nice, what they ARE but who they are! I loved how different they were, in every sense of different....and how they embrace Amber into their fold, although, she's the only human in a household of supernaturals, or is she? The clever way the story unfolds allowed me to gain insight into each of the characters, really opening up their challenges and of course, their secrets. Which incidentally, are unravelled as the story progresses, so cool, so believable. Yeah, I know it's fiction but I forgot that whilst I was reading! The triplets had me giggling at their shenanigans and Oliver is just to die for. Not literally, dear heavens! The Awww, the Ooo, the Noooo, escaping from me as I was reading, I really really was rooting for him!
Amber gets her head around her strange housemates and the romance that develops between her and Oliver, the patience she exhibits despite her fear is awesome! I definitely did a "yes!" fist pump when it came to fruition, steamy yet tender, hot yet loving. Truly beautiful. It wasn't only the romantic aspect that captured me, there's mystery and action aplenty, leading to a revelation I never expected, in fact, there was lots I didn't expect and I was very pleasantly surprised each time.
This glorious read was so immersive from the git go, the pace fast brilliant, the world building like an aria, rising and rising to enrapture me and setting me down as I came off my high. Loved it! Loved Amber, Oliver, Seth,Nolan, the triplets, heck, I loved them all!
From the beginning of this book, I was intrigued. I loved the chaotic moment, it enticed me to continue reading this book. As I got further into it, I found myself completely involved. Not only did the main character seem interesting, there was always something new to learn about her. The author was able to create a group of characters, successfully show all of their emotions, begin explaining each character's backstory, and despite not all characters being main characters but all being equally important. The girl who's perspective this is written from, has lovely character development. As well as everyone she surrounds herself with, the main character 'Amelia' was able to find a group of people who she finds comfort in and trusts. This book was able to have a main plot as well as side plots, successfully executing each plot correctly. This book had me wanting to read more every second, and I completed this book in less than few days. I have so many questions and I can not wait to read the next book, I highly recommend!!!
Thank you Voracious Readers and Amber Withers for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
This book starts out with a young girl morning into her sorority house only to find the worst kind of young females live there. So she packs her things to leave and go somewhere else. Only, she has no where to go. So these two young men find her and offer her a place to stay until she finds her own place.
She grew so close to them in such a short amount of time. They really did treat her well. Even once they revealed what they each actually are to her she handles it a little too well. I know with her past incident, which is only mentioned briefly for a few minutes until it is fully explained later.
I think that even though the storyline took a little bit to get anywhere, even finding out what she really is, it is still a good story. I think there was a lot of drama in the book, which isn’t a bad thing at all, but I think some of it wasn’t necessary. I would have liked to see more of her figuring that she has powers before she actually found out what she is.
Amelia is off to collage and to join a sorority as a legacy, but when she arrives she realises that the girls are mean, manipulative and just down right horrible. So she packs her things and heads back out with no where to go.
A couple of sweet guys find her on the pavement and offer their spare room (it has a lock!) which she accepts.
Living in a frat house is expected to be a bit crazy, but this house is crazy for a completely different reason to the norm. There are no all night parties and loud music, but once a month there is a werewolf chained in the basement, and a vampire lives in the attic. There's a warning about locking the door when you shower so the merman stays out and were-kittens who are always up to mischief.
There's a bit of romance, some mystery and a lot of humour as Amelia learns about herself and the guys she's now living with.

I'm feeling very annoyed and conflicted about this book. The typos are horrendous but despite this I still really loved the book and was looking forward to reading the second book only to remember that I still don't have it. Why? No idea I ordered the book from Amber's website on the 13th February 2023. Never received it. Sent emails to Amber, first reply was that she'd look into it and get back to me. By June 2023 still had not heard from her, sent another email and got no reply. It's now almost April 2024 and I have no idea what to do about this or if I can take it further. There was more than one book in the order and the only thing stopping me from buying more of Amber's books is that I'm scared of this happening again. Amber, if you happen to see this please look into it my order number is 10072
Girl goes to college, winds up shacking up with a motley group of guys, and gets more than she bargained for.
A cute, easy read that kept me entertained. Overall an interesting story concept. That said, certain elements of the story felt rushed or choppy. I would happily have read a longer book in exchange for having the story progress in a smoother fashion and to see more detail and character development.
There were some grammatical and word use issues which detracted a but from the story, but nothing insurmountable.
Free copy received in exchange for an honest review.
This book was so good, the plot line moved naturally and didn’t seem like it went too fast or slow. I really loved the dynamics between the guys and Amelia. From the time I started the book I was hooked, I can’t wait to see what happens in Book 2.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I loved this book and look forward to reading more about the adventures of Amelia and her amazing friends. The college years should be interesting as Amelia learns to deal with vampires, shapeshifters, merman . And all the other creatures she never knew existed.
Just devoured this first book in a matter of hours! Love how Amber continuously reveals a little more about the characters and what is going on as the story evolves. Can’t wait for more!
This was one amazing book . Full of wonder and never seeing what is coming next. I couldn’t put this Gem down. Amelia and her friends are all unique and find strength and love in one another 10/10.this book is beautiful written please check out your copy for today
What a great quick read. First time reading from this author and it didn't disappoint I loved the connection between each character and how each one of them was introduced. The story development was good
After reading this book, I honestly enjoyed the aspect of the werewolf and vampire and other mystical creatures. I also like the fact that it is a quick and easy read. A few problems I had with the book is that it has a couple of grammar errors, I would have loved more detail overall. If I was a little younger I would have granted this 5 stars. The high school aspect of it is okay as well. I would recommend this book for those looking for a quick and easy read. Those who are interested in reading about books with mystical creatures, cute boys, and the like.

I know that I am late in reading this book, but I have been wanting to read it for a while because of the synopsis. "Fourteen Demons. One Human. No hope." That had me hooked though when I started reading the book I realized that I would not categorize any of the guys as demons since they were all different supernatural creatures from one being a merman to a psychic. Not that this took away from the enjoyment of the book just a pet peeve of mine lol! Besides that I really enjoyed reading the book and can't wait to read the next book in the series, especially with a new guy being introduced at the very end.
