“Every person is paired up with another and we have to do something for them. An experience, an event, a gesture. More than socks and undies under the Christmas tree. Something that communicates how we feel about them.”
Marcus is at it again, but this time he's being open with the pack. Feeling out of his depth, unable to truly understand how a healthy relationship works, he wants everyone to make some sort of gesture for the others to show how they feel. But as per usual, he's playing with fire.
This pack may have found their way towards each other, but what happens when you're required to put exactly how you feel out there on the line? Join Cyn and the gang as they work through a series of increasingly sweet tableaus, discovering exactly how they feel about each other as they go and just what they want from the relationship.
This little companion novel is so much more than anyone could expect from a Christmas story.
The whole thing was sweet and tender and so intimate it hurt in the best way. As always, Sam Hall gifted us with her impecable writing and storytelling. Her emotional intelligence allows Hall to portrait complex and compelling characters, and the way she handles heavy topics is pure perfection.
Have you ever wondered what happens after your favorite HEAs? In this book, Hall explores this idea, and makes some amazingly assertive commentaries on what makes a relationship work.
I loved the idea of each member of the pack making a gran gesture for Christmas, and it turned into a, let’s see how far these sweet idiots can go, pretty fast.
As in Good Girl, Rhys was the heart of this pack. But this time, it was a delight to see everyone else showing him how much they loved him. I loved his plot, even though I got worried for real there for a hot second. But the fact that his gran gesture was planning a wedding just shows the type of loving idiot Rhys is and why I adore him so much.
Bren was a serious contender to steal the spot light away from Rhys, tho. He made me literally swoon in this book. He’s so loving and caring and open. He elevated each scene he was in, he grounded Cyn and gave her strength the most, he understood what each of them needed and wasn’t afraid to go there for them. His scene with Orion and Cyn is one of my favorites for this reason alone.
Talking about Orion, my favorite part of the book was the whole Omega Academy plot and what Orion had done for all his siblings… I cried a little, not going to lie. Rhys and 10 years old Jason melted my heart. The idea of the pack leaving Apothecary to help these children and more omegas in vulnerable positions made me so happy. I’d love to read a book just on this. Orion getting into politics to change the laws regarding Omegas so they’d have more rights and autonomy, the Pack working with troubled kids, opening more safe Academies… It’s totally my jam.
Marcus got a lot better in this short story. He was more human and real, and a lot more endearing and loving. I loved how he realized he couldn’t keep controlling everything and planning ahead of time. He could just love his pack and let things flow.
As in Good Girl, the relationship among the four Alphas killed me. It was so intense and real. Sometimes in RH, the mm featured feels more performative than a real connection. But in this case? They are obsessed with each other and Cyn and it couldn’t be hotter. Best mm relationship I’ve read this year for sure.
The little mentions of characters from Bad Girl made me squee!! And the ending left me wanting more. So much more!!!!
Sooooo good! All of the feels, I didn’t want it to end. The writing is just so good that you’re with each of the characters for every emotion felt. Awesome read, will definitely have this in my list to re-read x
Look, I was totally gonna read this book in December. I won a digital copy in December. I also got myself the paperback when it was available in December. I just got distracted. You know me. It happens. I always have about four or five books I'd wanna read at once and although I can read fast, I still can't pull that off. However, I needed something light hearted to read in the train and this story sounded perfect for that.
Let me start with stating that, even though I rate it three stars, there's nothing wrong with this book. The writing is great, the characters are amazing and it's lovely to see how they're working on their relationship. It's clear that there is more to love than simply being put together by fate, than simply having a mate bond. It's clear that even in OmegaVerse love is a verb. You have to work for it, you have to communicate, you have to feed it.
I totally understand that some people saw the ending of Good Girl as a happy for now. Especially Marcus didn't really feel part of the pack at that point. However, I always have an issue with a happily ever after taking up a little too much time. If the hurdles are overcome, if nothing is standing in the way anymore of a happily ever after I don't particularly need to read the rest. That sounds weird, but too long descriptions of happily ever afters bore me a little.
So, no matter how lovely it was to see these characters do great and amazing things for each other, to see them strengthening their bonds and making plans for the future, there was nothing in this book to surprise me or blow me away. Even though I understand that some people need to read stories like this, I missed a bit of excitement. I missed a touch of danger. I missed a little tension. However, if you need a read with next to none anxious moments: This is absolutely it!
No spoilers. The sex scenes are H-O-T and the romance is swoon-worthy. Underneath it all there is a truly good story line. Cyn and her guys are in my top five packs ever. There is just such a level of love and caring there! The way they show their love for each other over Christmas is one to remember
If you are a fan of omegaverse, this is a must read. If you read "Good Girl," you need to pick this up right now. I personally have become a true fan of Sam Hall and plan on going through her entire catalog as soon as possible.
Good Girl Christmas was fantastic. What I was expecting was a Christmas story but what I got was so much more. I thought that the story was gonna be Christmas-centered but it wasn't, Sam went another route. For one it's Christmas in Australia so therefore it's warm, then there wasn't any talk about decorations or any of the Christmasy norm. Yes, the story takes place during Christmas time and it's big talk about presents but it was so much more than that.
At the end of Good Girl, Cyn and her guys won the day and they were together. Now in GG Christmas, it's time to put in the effort to keep the relationships going. This book dives deep into all the feelings but does so in a fun and sometimes steamy way. Of course, the main characters are there but a few more familiar faces make an appearance. The events with family, the creative activities, and the relationship dynamics between all five of them made for an excellent read. Sam has done a fabulous job pulling everything together and making the story seamless and interesting. Making sure each character had their time in the spotlight but making sure the group was represented as well. Questions were answered from the previous book, some questions that I didn't even know I had were answered, so this book was very satisfying in that way.
Honestly, the title says Good Girl Christmas but the book doesn't have to be read during Christmas, it can be enjoyed any time. Good Girl Christmas is a great addition to Cyn's and the guys' story. It was filled with so much heart, so much love, and of course a good amount of steam. It was about connection, connecting with family whether it be by blood or those you chose, connecting friends, and connecting with those who have stolen your heart. The story ended on a jaw-dropper and I can't help but hope for another book or at least a novella with Cyn and her guys, I just love them so much.
Wow! I loved Good Girl so much so coming back with another book about Cyn and her swoon worthy alphas was just awesome.
I loved this book so much, you take a deeper look into the relationship between the 5 of them and the romantic gestures they do for each other. There is some seriously hot spice throughout too 🥵
This book is beautifully written, the storyline itself is so nice but also emotional. I loved feeling like I was part of their world wrapped up in their lives and being there with them.
I love Omegaverse and this had everything you needed for an Omegaverse book. Growling alphas and whining Omegas, heat, knotting, mates.
Coming back in to see where this group is after meeting and falling into their new normal was special. I would love to see more of them in the future.
A Good Girl Christmas by Sam Hall is a contemporary omegaverse romance. This is the second book in The Season series.
This is the third book of Sam's I have read, and it won't be my last. I loved the relationship between Cyn, Orion, Marcus, Bren, and Rhy from Good Girl and was so excited that we got another book with more of their story.
It took me a bit to get into the book since it's been a while since I read Good Girl but once I got into the story, I couldn't help but binge it.
I look forward to reading the next book in the series Bad Girl so I can get Tris and Kit's story.
I would recommend this book if you like omegaverse romances.
Cyn and her guys are back, and I can’t imagine a better group to spend the holidays with. Life is finally settling down, but that means time to get to the things that really matter. To show your mates how important they are to you and what you value about them. When the members of the pack are challenged to do that, they step up in a big way with the most meaningful gestures, demonstrating their love and devotion over and over again. This reads like a tribute, honoring their love and their bonds. Everything about it was utter perfection. I would willingly snuggle inside its pages with a cup of cocoa and never leave if given a choice. It’s just that amazing.
This was such a great catch up with all the characters I fell hard for in Good Girl. I got lots more of their delicious chemistry but I also got so much emotion in this one. Just fantastic!
Indulgent extended epilogue of the first book A Good Girl. Bit of fun if you want all the HEA fine details. Personally, I don't think it is necessary and there is no big bad. It's an emotional look at the developing relationships. Still lots and lots of steam.
I am so happy we got this story. The first book ended with them all together, but we really didn't get to glory in it very much. We didn't get to relish in the relationships and the love that made up this pack because it was interrupted, and then they had to come back from it all. I know once we get the happily ever after, that's usually the end--but I'm glad to got to delve back into this world to really see that happen.
This book didn't have a lot of conflict, though it did have a little. And that was it's entire point. Just to give us warm fuzzies and to glory in the love of this pack. And it was perfect. We got to see them take steps beyond just mating. We got to see them really express their love, in ways that had great meaning. We got to see them fit their puzzle pieces more cohesively together. We got to see what paths their futures would take.
I liked the first book, but I really loved this second book with this pack. Simply because sometimes you just need the love without all the outside forces.
I can’t say enough or just how much I love this! I absolutely love Cyn, Rhys, Marcus, Orion and Bren. And this was such a treat. I will admit that this part of their story really truly showed just how much they loved, needed and wanted each other. The last book I did get an uneasy feeling about them at the end. It seemed unfinished. Well this just really sealed it for me. So glad they finally started communicating and love how Cyn finally felt like she was part of them. We could read her hesitation but then felt her letting herself know she belonged to them. It would be difficult to come into an already established relationship. But they showed her they were not complete without her. And told her she was the one who was the missing piece. And acknowledged that they wouldn’t be whole without her even though they had each other. Well done Same!!! I love all of you books. But this series is by far my favorite
Oh it was so good to be back in the world of Cyn, Rhys, Bren, Orion and of course megamind Marcus. There was a challenge set, they all were off and running. Cyn had to come to some pretty big decisions to show her pack that she was all in. They all went to some pretty big extremes to prove their love for one another. Rhys wanted to be last in the process. Such a big loveable teddy bear with a heart of gold. Cyn accidentally says something to hurt him and has to go above and beyond to prove to him she didn’t mean what she said. When you have 4/5 of the pack really not raised in a loving home or to have great role models to show how love truly is meant to be it’s a struggle. You will see them come together with a new maturity that has them all taking the leap into the next journey of their relationship. I love this world that Sam Hall has created so much! I really hope there will be more of this pack to come. They are one of my favorite groups in the Omegaverse universe.
A Good Girl Christmas jumps right back in where book one of The Season series left off and gives us the happy ever after we needed, well Marcus’s way of course. You need to have read book one Good Girl to fully appreciate this brilliant read, as the characters carry over and it is great to see their evolution over the two books. This is a reverse harem, omegaverse romance with strong bossy alphas that have a soft side for their mates, all four of them.
Good Girl Christmas is an absolute delight as all members of this pack dream up different experiences to show each other what they mean to each other. I must admit my favourite was Bren’s rugby outing at Commbank stadium purely because my own football team plays there (Though I completely agree with Bren/Sam Hall it was better as Pirtek before it was remodeled). I loved getting to know these characters more and receiving the smooshy happily ever after even though I loved how book one ended.
A Good Girl Christmas was an amazing gift from Sam Hall to her readers of The Season series. I would recommend it for readers who have read book 1 Good Girl, if not I would recommend you read them both!
I'm sure as an author it has to be hard to write ur stories down, bring them to life, immerse urself entirely and then get to the end with many different emotions/feelings but you love it enough to let us the readers in (with warnings at beginning of book)...and today's world we can review anything and everything and say whatever we feel which is good and bad...but as readers we pick a book in the genre we enjoy and find a new world each and every time so for me I know what I'm getting into bc I chose that book in that genre. Im so freaking happy I picked this book and every book from you Sam Hall! Thank you for putting your work out here for all, and for giving me so many worlds to escape in and take a break from real life. Keep doing what you love!!!
I love this incredible Christmas story. So much love to celebrate. A pack that is finally complete, the alphas have an extraordinary relationship, and Cyn brings them together with her love and understanding.
She strengthens their relationship as omega is easy for her to see them and show how special they are. They have found a way to make each other happy, and they have a beautiful mated bond that is so special.
Marcus is the most beautiful character of this series. He puts his love for his mates first, and everything he does is to keep them safe and always protected.
I love how much their relationship grew, and they became a family. Each event was done with so much love and happy moments. I love Cyn and her alphas, a truly fantastic story.
The Season books (1-4) are incredible pieces of finely woven, multi-faceted and multi-partner relationships. It is done with thoughtfulness and care, and I have never been on team ALL OF THEM in a series of books in my LIFE! Sam Hall's books, no matter which ones you read, are all written with such care for the honest, real, dirty, ugly, and every other adjective of humans as they learn to combine themselves with another, or others. I feel as though I have stumbled upon a treasure trove of writing from this author that I will immediately back-read and continue forward. If you have read the Beauty series by Anne Rice, then you are in for the next level with Sam's books. Love you Sam and thank you for creating characters I will never want to live without living rent-free in my heart!
A big thank you and congratulations to Sam for this book. I've loved reading the journey about Cyn and her alphas. I thought the ending of Good Girl was perfect. But this book completely resolved things that I didn't think I needed to be. I've loved seeing the development in their individual relationships and as a group. Rhys and Bren have take the top spot for me. You won't be disappointed with this book and everything that Sam has put into it. She is fab author and I'm so glad that I get to read these ideas of hers that she thinks of in no time at all😁
This was all the feels, I loved it! Usually in omegaverse, we get the meeting, reluctance, the angst, tension, break up, make up, and finally, acceptance and happiness. This story is what happens after that. When instincts and excitement start to die down and a pack is left wondering if everything is as perfect as it first seemed. This pack is filled with so much love, made me tear up a little. They wanted to strengthen their bonds and put in the work for it. They’re all just so sweet and open and giving. This story was omegaverse romance at its best.
Having read Good Girl, I knew Cyn definitely needed more of d$%king, ask & you shall receive.
Cyn and her pack of Alphas navigate being newly bonded by doing adorably well thought out Christmas gifts/gestures for each other, to show their love e for each other.
The level if sweet love & dirty knot time was so well balanced.
Read this after Good Girl... then read Bad Girl... then read everything g by Sam Hall.
Good Girl will leave an impression in your soul. This one? Is going to change the very fiber of your being. This story strips down everything to a raw, exposed, exhilarating reminder of what truly matters. There is so much substance to this story. I smiled. Laughed. Cried. All of it. And it was epic. It was beautiful. The steam was hot too, but the root of this book was so much more. The steam was BECAUSE of the feelings.
I wasn’t sure that I could love Cyn and the guys more after Good Girl, but Good Girl Christmas was just perfection and exactly what I needed. Sam Hall is almost like the alpha providing exactly what this omega needed… 🤣 So much love and emotion from all five of these amazing characters, the feelings they have for each other were tangible and such a pleasure to read… Not to mention the steamy passion too!
Cyn is back with her guys and in this wonderful book you read how they show their love and appreciation for each other. It binds them ever so tightly, each gesture, gift so in tune with what that mate needs, even when there's a blip they come out stronger. I love that forest recreation, that made my heart pitter patter! I definitely want to read more of this fabulous pack!
This was such a beautiful story and a great HEA! All of the grand gestures, the epiphanies were great but towards the end with Rhys - I completely bawled my eyes out. It's the kind of romance people wish for - honest, raw and imperfectly perfect. I loved this very, very much!
This is EXACTLY how I wanted this story to end. I adore Good Girl, and wanted more, more, MORE… and that’s exactly what we have here. The relationship between the pack gets better established as new dynamics settle into place, and we get to see exactly how the boys care for their omega, and how Cyn cares for her men. It’s a long and beautiful epilogue and leaves you with a warm Christmassy glow
This book does well in exploring the relationship nuances within the pack. It is not all fun and games. Feelings get hurt and forgiveness must be given in order to survive and relationship. This book just explores that without the drama of outside distractions, almost. Lol, well done Sam Hall!
Ms Hall gives us a delightful Christmas gift with this book. The continuing evolution of Cyn and her pack is explored with beautiful results and sweet insights about relationships between lovers and families. This book is a delightful companion to book one.
