A young Korean woman who has trouble asserting herself ends up getting all the worst projects at work. When one of her projects flops for reasons beyond her control, she gets fired. If I remember correctly, she either falls asleep or passes out in her home, whereupon she wakes up in a new world, in the body of a basically European duchess named Chloe. Chloe is bullied and disrespected by both her servants and ladies of her class, and her marriage to her husband, Alphonse, is entirely for political reasons. Chloe immediately decides that things are going to be different than they were in her original life. She begins standing up for herself with the servants and asks her husband to provide her with one thing, tea, a drink that provided her with solace and joy in her previous life. He provides her with a whole warehouse worth of tea. Her obvious love for it begins accidentally winning people over.

This series does not yet appear to be completed. I read 93 chapters of it.

Initially, I loved this. The artwork was usually lovely - beautiful colors and an appealing style, even if the artist occasionally drew people's hands too large. The way Chloe's own servants bullied her struck me as difficult to believe, but I was willing to roll with it and root for her. I liked the edutainment factor - there were lots of moments where the story paused so that Chloe could explain the flavors, preparation, and history of different types of teas. As someone who got into loose leaf tea drinking a few years ago, I found it to be interesting, even as I chuckled a bit at the almost "drink commercial"-like aspect of people's reactions to the teas. It was a lot like other food- and drink-related comics I've read, honestly.

However, I almost stopped reading about 30 or 40 chapters in due to the way Chloe was written. She was always right, no matter what. Everyone needed to apologize to her, but it never worked the other way. I forget the exact chapter, but there was a point where it was revealed that the original Chloe wasn't just a painfully shy person - she was also weak, to the point that she Did the new Chloe ever apologize to this woman? Nope, and my opinion of her plummeted due to this. There was also a later bit where Alphonse This was treated as a joke, and my opinion of the characters soured some more.

It didn't help that, as the story dragged on, less and less seemed to happen. Chloe worked things from her old world into her new one, introducing this coffee-loving society to the joys of different varieties of tea, creating and selling new products like milk tea, tea bags, and more, opening up a tea shop, etc. Drama would occasionally crop up: counterfeit tea that was making people sick, a woman who'd previously had a crush on Alphonse and hated Chloe for marrying him, angry servants who didn't want their situation to change, the appearance of the prince, who happened to be original Chloe's crush. Everything was handled in a melodramatic way.

I particularly disliked the attempt at a love triangle between Chloe, Alphonse, and the prince. Chloe was literally married to Alphonse. After a certain point, they fell in love and it was nonstop reminders of just how in love and lust with each other they were. Alphonse would regularly deeply kiss Chloe in public (because apparently this pseudo-European society doesn't care about constant PDA, I guess?). And still the prince would grumpily try to get Chloe's attention. Alphonse, meanwhile, treated the prince like the two of them were the same rank, fighting for the attention of the same woman...even though he and Chloe were very much married.

The one thing I'm interested in, at this point, is what might happen if the new Chloe ever figures out what happened to the original Chloe. My theory is that the two women swapped bodies and original Chloe is in modern Korea. But honestly, this series has outstayed its welcome. I doubt I'll be going back to it once there are new chapters to read. I'm tired of hearing how amazing Chloe is, how much her husband adores her, and how anyone who has any problems with Chloe is just jealous or horrible.

Edit: I just remembered this. I thought it was odd that a random panel in chapter 92 (or 91?) mentioned that this world has wizards and mana. None of of the previous 90ish chapters ever once brought up magic. WTF? And the only reason it was mentioned was because the wizards had invented something that was basically a magical stand-in for electric lights. Why not have someone actually invent electric lights? Or is Chloe the only one allowed to create innovative real-world things?

I liked it at first but overtime the story become a bit dull and got dragged on. The manhwa is really informative and I got to learn about about different types of tea and what pairs with what (I admittedly forgot all that information but it was interesting to read). The fl is strong, but I feel like she's a mary sue since she's seems to invent every great invention for the time period and is responsible for all the great things that happens. Plus, the stakes aren't really that high as the manhwa goes on since she basically destroys her rivals with words and easy to expose them. Overall, its okay and the content is quite informational.

This is the story of a modern time korean woman thats wakes up in the body of a duchess Chloe Batenberg. Just like herself, chloe is a pushover and gets harassed by her own servants, she is painfully shy, naive and has no confidence. To cope with her new life in this new body, she asks for the only thing that used to bring her joy back in korea : tea. However tea is not very popular in this world (even seen as “barbaric”), so she then endeavours to introduce tea in all its form to noble society.

This was fun at the beginning ! But the story moves very fast at first, this girl could not speak up to save her life and suddenly she’s full of swag and confidence within what.. 2 chapters ? Also the main villain (the head maid) - tho i could not understand why this woman still held a grudge against chloe after all theses years thinking she was above cloe for some raison ?? Girl she’s a duchess and ur a maid ?? She already won ? - anyways so she was caught and punished very fast (first 15 chapters out of 100+) and after her there wasnt much of an intrigue.

I was more interested in the whole business side of the story, how she opened her shop ... ect and as someone who does not like tea i did really enjoyed reading about it tho it does become tedious after a while (it felt very repetitive). It kind of dipped for me at maybe 50 chapter in, theres not intrigue no villain no drama nothing to really grip the readers. Each little adventure/story is just Chloe having a minor issue, solving it with tea and everyone (literally everyone) clapping and clamouring that she’s so smart and she’s the best lol

I didnt even mention the love interest ... well that speaks for itself i guess ...

I loved the knights to much !! But they stopped appearing at some point i dont know why ! :(

The author KNOWS tea. Like, you want to learn real awesome true things about tea? This story is like HERE'S YOUR EDICATION mixed in with CUTE ROMANCE. It was so damn satisfying. The tea part.

I enjoyed that this was a romance about two people already married learning to love and live with each other. I also enjoyed that this story explained the body-swap process - there was real closure about that for a change. Very nice.

The author knows nothing about corsets, and that's a bit of a knee-jerk annoyance.

There is literally no real threat in this story. If you want something mostly fluffy and sweet, then get into bed and settle into the cosy feelings. Every problem that arises is resolved in five minutes 😂 The Female Lead solves every problem in the whole Empire with minimal resistance, and nothing she does fails. But honestly, whatever. It's a Nice story.

And a married couple who are truly devoted to each other and constantly have each other's back is never a bad thing to read.

[4.5 stars]

Ch. 1 - 36

I loved this volume so much! I honestly thought that I hated tea until I read this. Now I realize that if I find the right tea, I'll probably like it as much as her. Hehe.

This has always been on my tbr but it didn't really stand out to me... so I never really thought to read it until I was done all the manhwas that I thought I would like. But after searching for some fluffy romances and seeing this on the list, I picked it up and got into it immediately.

Of course, this is another wonderful isekai and I'm so happy it doesn't have all that 'he's not mine, he's supposed to be with her' crap.

This volume was amazing, but I didn't think that it should be given 5 stars. So excited to continue the series!

A webtoon about transmigration with an MC who loves tea? I have been called out. This series was shot straight to my heart and it was very enjoyable.

One of the few transmigration stories that actually addresses the element beyond "anyways thats how I got here!" Which I wasn't expecting at all (though admittedly this aspect was somewhat rushed at the end of the series)

A delightful low stakes romance, perfect to scroll through with a hot cup of tea

I don't even care that the plot itself is pretty basic -- I love how the author is incorporating tea into it and with how drinking tea is explained/illustrated. Each chapter convinced me to go make a cup of tea for myself, haha.

The first volume introduces us to the world of a modern-day woman who is reincarnated as the Duchess Chloe Battenberg in a fantasy realm. This first volume establishes the premise: Chloe, a passionate tea enthusiast in her past life, decides to bring her love for tea culture into her new world. Set against a backdrop of a struggling estate, Chloe’s efforts to create prosperity and warmth through tea-making form the heart of the story.

Each chapter features delightful recipes, skillfully blending gastronomy with character development. The work stands out for its stunning illustrations and soothing atmosphere.

The focus is on Chloe as she adjusts to her new identity and learns about her duties as a duchess. Her kind yet determined personality shines as she interacts with the estate's staff and residents. Each chapter includes beautifully illustrated tea blends and accompanying snacks, adding a unique charm. Recipes range from classic brews to creative concoctions inspired by Chloe’s modern knowledge. The volume sets up the world’s social and economic structure, showing how Chloe's innovative ideas begin to challenge traditional norms.

wholesome af. a bit tedious at times, but i still read every update as soon as i spot one nonetheless! i like how it’s been pretty educational, too. i only wish there’d been more of a conclusion at the end there… i didn’t even realized it’d been completed, to be honest. the whole thing was just not as obvious as i’d hoped. heh. the only reason i know this now is because i just went though my reading list, found this lovely graphic novel just chilling over there and decided to check if i happened to have missed something—which i apparently had, but it’s meh. i’d say it was a decent ending.

but anyway!!! nonetheless, it was sweet as hell—no cap. my only REAL complaint would probably be about the characters themselves. all of them are unfortunately boring and quite generic, i’m afraid. despite how ‘convenient’ it’s been, it’s most likely the main reason as to why it’s never been the most appealing story to me. like i said earlier, it’s definitely sweet and all that… but, in my personal opinion, i feel that the characters lack both personality and character. sheesh.

This is a fluffy romance manhwa which has no war, politics or shitty ex. Its just about a couple finding love in their marriage, learning to be together and help each other grow. *Cozy Cozy*

The explanations of how Chloe ended up in modern day Korea & the Modern day girl became a Duchess with tea business, was great. Loved that part, it was a good change. The new Chloe only wants to do two things, drink tea & give others a taste of it. Surprisingly the duke becomes a fan of her teas & supports her when she wants to start her business. They both stand up for each other and fight their social problems together. It was so cute to see their love story unfold.

Read it for - the cute love story of a married couple & for the LOVE OF TEA. Yep, Chloe spends a lot of time making different blends of teas & explains in details too. As a tea lover who has had every tea in this manhwa, it was heaven. LOVED IT.

Story : 7/10
Character Growth : 8/10
TEA : 10/10

Pros:
- Gorgeous warm art style
- Introduction of other cultures instead of solely focusing on the Western culture
- As a tea lover, I half enjoyed the tea parts of it (though it was a bit too much at times)
- Sweet and supportive main couple once they fell in love
- The FL and original Chloe getting to converse about how they felt about switching places and wishing each other the best

Cons:
- FL went from being scorned to being worshipped for her talents - makes me feel sad because if she hasn't changed, she would have continued to be mistreated/ignored by everyone. At least the FL acknowledged it, and defended another woman who was similarly mistreated
- Far too many unlikable characters in this, even those like the butler who became a firm supporter of Chloe later on but overlooked the servants mistreating her because he thought she was weak and pathetic
- The prince's one sided crush on her was extremely annoying

This is an extremely cute story but at some point, the story gets ridiculous when she starts to solve all of the world's problems through the use of tea. I think that the story had a planned start, middle, and end, but the story got popular and the author just dragged out the story as much as they could. Since the beginning was really solid and interesting then the middle was repetitive and the ending was rushed and repetitive at the same time. I also think that while tea is great and has a ton of benefits the benefits of tea in this story become cartoonish and trivialize serious problems.

This is definitely something different for the manwha/webtoon collection. Our female lead is isekaied into a contract marriage. While she has some guilt over taking over another woman's life, Chloe2.0 uses her indepth knowledge about tea to make a profit and influence the society around her. There is a saccharine romance and you can actually learn a bit about the history of tea. Clearly it is not really believable, but it's cheery and can make you laugh at points. By nature, however, it repeats the plot beats over and over and the pacing of character development is rather slow. To the point of tedium--especially if you binge it. So I recommend dipping in for a few chapters now and again if the idea is interesting to you.

Um...it's good. But the main character was portrayed as too perfect and too intelligent while everyone else was portrayed as below average. She changed the kingdom's old traditions and prejudices in less than a year, she solved age-old problems related to gin addiction, misogyny and foreign relationships. I would have loved it if it was just a sweet lighthearted story about someone who enjoys tea, and the various slice-of-life moments she experiences while introducing it to others, but it became more annoying after some time because the Duchess was 'overpowered', the 'problems' only seemed to come up so she could shine more instead of to advance the plot or develop the characters, and I'll never forgive them for turning the loving dork of a prince into the antagonist (that was so random).

I love the character development of Chloe Battenberg here, but I must admit it got too overwhelming with the tea knowledge T_T There were too many times that it started feeling unnatural. I also don't really ship Alfonse and Chloe... but Oh Well

This is definitely the type of manhwa that you just read on the side. It's not meant to be binged, so Tapas' 3 hour wait until free actually worked with this :> Still a fine read though, so don't let this review discourage you!

Ok at first pe I was hooked. But then I stopped and thought about it. The ml started falling in love with her cause of tea. Like um .. ok I guess. And woman has no ambitions which isn't somehow circling back to guess what ✨ tea ✨ major plot holes like the actual fl body soul tranfer to a work harrasment office and is ok??? Like girl???? It's a one time shut your morals and brain read

It's alright i just feel that it was too repetitive for my tastes. The plot went something like

'new tea'
'wow reaction, yum'
'social status increased'

Although maybe that WAS the point but i just could not. (it's not that bad though)

For once I love how the reincarnation is developing. As our heroine learns how different this new world is, she embraces the fact that the old Chloe was weak, but it's alright. Because she will change their life and fate! 😍

Good romance, it's under development but it's no rush. Also you get a whole bunch of lessons about tea and tea culture... Thank you! It's refreshing to the mind.

I truly enjoyed this story. The main character was easy to love, and it was great to see her shine in a setting because of who she is. The romance is also very sweet. She uses her genuine personality, past experiences, wit, and business knowledge to win people over and truly make a difference in the world she was thrust into.
