Stacy wrote loads of poetry and short stories at school and then became a journalist, writing features for magazines and newspapers and working as a fashion writer (v. glamorous and lots of fun!) before her first book in the Pony Club Secrets series was published in 2007.

This is such a good book that I really enjoyed, and would really recommend for anyone who loves animals.
This book is all about issies beloved foal storm being stolen, and she goes on a search for him, that leads her all the way to Spain. But when she finds storm they will not give him back, and she has to enter a huge Spanish race to bring his back, but that's not all if she does not win, not only will she loose storm forever but five of the horses from the amazing Spanish stable she she is riding for will have to be given to the winning team, so she has a lot riding on her shoulders. In the end she does win storm back but he sadly storm stays in Spain to learn some famous dressage moves ready for when she will come back and get him in two years time. So yes it is a very sad book, but in a following book it is so lovely when she gets him back.

I like Issie well enough, but this is the dumbest book in this series so far. I don't even know what to say. I think it's common that kid/teen series with an established cast and setting tend to get a bit, uh, awful, when they add in a random book or episode that takes the existing characters and dumps them overseas to add excitement or keep it fresh or whatever. This follows that trend. Also why is Issie so good at everything without even really trying? I want her to have to try hard if she's going to be THIS amazing. Totally ruins my suspension of disbelief in this series of books about a girl and her magical ghost pony for sure.

AMAZING! :D It was really sad though when Storm was stolen and how the serrita was used on poor Angel. He's such a kind and gentle stallion! Loved how Angel's old owner can't bare to lose and has A fright to see Issie beside him towards the end of the race! She has such sneaky tactics! :) x

This is the sixth book in the “Pony club secrets” series. There is a total of 12 books in the series, 13 if you count the novella. With showjumping contests to win, rivals to defeat, mysteries to solve and ponies in danger to save – these books are perfect for all girls who love ponies.
This book is all about Issie’s beloved mare Blaze and her new foal Nightstorm. At the Chevalier Point Pony Club Issie is spending all her time with the young colt Nightstorm. With such fine breeding, he is extremely valuable, and Issie is unaware that the young colt’s progress is being closely watched. When Nightstorm is stolen, Issie goes on a search for him, that leads her all the way to Spain. When Issie arrives, she is thrown into centuries old traditions that she must succeed at if she wants to get close to winning back her beloved Storm
When she finds Storm, they will not give him back, and she has to enter a huge Spanish race to bring him back home, but that's not all if she does not win, not only will she loose storm forever but five of the horses from the amazing Spanish stable she is riding for will have to be given to the winning team, so she has a lot riding on her shoulders. In the end she wins Storm back, but she makes the difficult decision of leaving him in Spain with the El Caballo Danza Magnifico stables. Issie choses to leave him there so he can leave some advanced dressage moves ready for when she will come back and get him in two years time.
I would give this book 5 stars because it constantly kept readers on the edge of their seats. It was so good even though it is more character driven rather than plot driven. I would recommend this to anyone aged 8 or over and it’s great to read alone or as a family but there are some emotional parts.

Fitting neatly into the series, but fully pivoting to a fantastical version of real-life, this novel takes us half way around the world to Spain where the main character finds herself in a centuries-old tradition as the only one who can succeed, and she gets there because she's just so damn talented, I guess.
It will be a fun story for a very young reader, but also, frustratingly, continues with more serious themes which these books awkwardly include. This book includes the theft of the main character's horse, descriptions of torturous horse equipment and the threat that the cartoonish villain will use this device on her foal, as well as the persistent and clear threat that exists to the main character when she takes part in the "Silver Bridle" a race where other riders will try to hurt her to win.
It will be a fun story for a very young reader, but also, frustratingly, continues with more serious themes which these books awkwardly include. I initially struggled with this book as it became quite unrealistic, going to Spain to track down a stolen foal. No concerns to cost or absence from school. This is a pivotal story to the plot though as it links back to book 2 and significantly further down the line. The new characters are fun and interesting but I found it hard to adjust to a pony story in Spain with completely different ‘traditions’ when what I like about the series is the nostalgia of pony club adventures.

Si te encantan los caballos, como a mí, y buscas una lectura amena, divertida y rápida, estos trece libros son una opción estupenda para esos días en los que nos apetece leer algo facilito.
Están recomendados para una edad de nueve años o más, pero no por eso se trata de una saga infantil. De hecho, yo el último libro lo he leído hace tres o cuatro semanas y me ha encantado. Ha sido una lectura muy fresca.
Cada uno de los libros cuenta una aventura distinta de Isa, la protagonista, siempre con relación al mundo de la equitación.
Por lo tanto, podrían leerse como volúmenes independientes, pero tened en cuenta que pueden aparecer datos de libros anteriores. Por eso, yo recomiendo leerlos por orden. De esa manera, entenderéis mejor la historia, la evolución de la protagonista a medida que crece y su relación con los distintos caballos, yeguas y ponis que aparecen en cada uno de los libros.
¿Alguien en la sala que conozca estos libros? ¿Qué os parecen?

The most thing I liked it in this book that she has mentioned the character of (Roberto) . A man who still holding on his traditions and whom you can't change his mind easily at the same time he is wise, kind and calm.

This may sound like a cheesy pony tale but so far it is not that. I am enjoying it...I can't take my eyes off the page once I start reading :)
