A meth cult that partakes in caste-based ritualistic human sacrifice… honestly, makes a ton of sense to me. I have a close family member with these sorts of substance abuse issues, and the sorts of ideas and justifications entertained and glorified by meth users are nothing short of intriguingly bleak. So I guess we’ll start there. Lol
I made myself read this book in one sitting to just get it over with. I’m not with the cult thing. It’s boring. Fingers crossed Deicide is done with the cult because I will throw the towel in on this series if not.
Wow that a awesome psychologically fucked up read, that is brutal and full of triggers but they fully relate to the story. This is probably the best and most intense book in the series so far. This would make for one insane t.v series if it was done right this has been a awesome series so far and I can't wait to read the next one
Listen…I love splatterpunk. I don’t rate poorly based off gore and shock factors alone. But everything was rushed. The two baby scenes had me cringing. It makes perfect sense in a cult setting. But I hated how Quinn was turned out to be an unreliable source. Not much talk of Alec. The plot was decent but felt not developed enough?? It felt like more shock factor

As the fourth installment in the series, this book left me feeling uncertain. While it was noticeably less graphic in terms of gore, it was significantly more confronting on an emotional and psychological level. Several scenes, particularly those involving infants, felt excessive to me. Personally, I found those moments difficult to read, though I chose to push through in the hope that the narrative would redeem itself. One of my main frustrations with this book centered around the protagonist, Deicide. I found her increasingly irritating and contradictory. She often expressed disgust at certain situations, only to later describe them as thrilling or entertaining. While I recognize that she is still a teenager and therefore bound to be inconsistent to a degree, her development in this installment felt regressive rather than progressive. I struggled to empathize with or root for her. Rather than coming across as strong-willed or determined, she appeared easily manipulated and emotionally weak—qualities that felt at odds with the character I had come to know in the first two books. She had so much potential, which makes my disappointment all the more profound.

Rating: 2.60 (Honestly, I think I need to add another category to my CAWPILE because it's not rating too favourably although I am somewhat enjoying the series.)
I gotta be honest - I almost threw in the towel here. Lately, I've just been hating the cult trope - I find it boring and frustrating because you'd never catch me acting that dumb. I digress though, the reason for almost giving up on the series were the babies.
No, I'm not gonna spoiler tag that. That's not something you go into blind.
I still really hate Deicide's inner monologue and I still hate Alec but it's whatev I guess.
"Fried. Hard. Crispy" 👀👀 you'll never believe what that is in reference to.... uugghhh or this....different scene: "That is the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. Why does this taste so good? So much flavor. The juices are different. Better than pizza. Better than bacon. What’s the secret ingredient?" 😱😱🫢🫣 😔🥺😭different scene: "Pops wasn't even this bad to me. What have I gotten myself into?" sorta true but Pops is on the same level of Monster Crazy Fuck Face as Father Lip.... the craziness continues.... now it involves a cult with a crazy, possessive, drug addict, drug dealing cult leader. 'Uncle Alec' has now successfully made the list of people i want dead.... Deicide will never recover from her life, i feel..... i could be wrong but it's just been so shitty and traumatizing, i can't see it. i hope in the next book she is able to escape... i feel like someone will have to die for that to happen... and if so, i hope nasty ass Father Lip or Uncle Alec is one of them.. OR BOTH--
Raised by a Killer Age 17 Book #4 By Sea Caummisar 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Extreme horror at its finest!! With each book in the series that I read I think it can’t get any better, but then it does! These stories are wild, intense, graphic, crazy, dark and addicting!
D is now 17 years old and her life has taken a seriously crazy turn! The drama and trauma that she has endured is horrific!
I listened to the audio version and the narrator, Nina Mae Cervantes does an amazing job!!
*I recommend this series for any extreme horror fans!! Sea Caummisar is an amazing writer!!*
This book was a major milestone on Deicide’s life and one that was quite traumatic and brutal for her life. Great gore and blood. But the writing again on Deicide’s thoughts. One minutes she thinks like a 5 years old and one minute she thinks like an adult. I know she was high on drugs but really you still have moments of clarity. Regardless this was a good chapter on her life and her hate for her Pops is just weird. She should be thankful someone gave her a life.
Okay, Sea hit it out of the park with book #4. The pain, misery and depression felt by D was intoxicating. Genuinely heartbreaking and painful to read. More Trigger Warnings with babies but I digress....as a mom of 2 girls, even I still have this book a 5 star rating. These novellas are so short that it makes it impossible to reveal too much in reviews but by God this one was perfection!
Not my favourite book of the series so far, but still a good read. I wasn’t a fan of the way Deicide spoke (calling Lip “baby” all the time), it seemed kind of “off” to me.
It was another extremely brutal and intense story. Can’t wait to see what happens next with Deicide!
I was unsure of this series in the beginning but it pulled me in, and here we are on book 4. Deicide seems way older than 17 in this book. The books are quick reads and pull you in wanting more. This book was a bit more graphic, just a warning.
I understand the impact the cult will have on our main character D, but I wasn't a fan of this installment as much as the previous ones but based on the ending in interested to see where it goes. Definitely not a series for everyone as it's pretty vile at times. Okay read.
FS: "Father Lip stood center stage, and raised his arms. The contrast of the red walls behind him and his white robe made it appear like there was a spotlight highlighting his figure."
LS: "Deicide closed her eyes for a deep sleep, unaware that Pops didn’t leave her bedside. He ensured that she stayed alive and healthy."
This one is the best so far so it gets 3.5 To be honest the first just over half of the book was quite boring but as it got towards the end, the book got so much more interesting
This one really got me, the cult stuff got a bit annoying and repetitive but I wanted to know what happens. The babies were a total shock and honestly don’t think I can’t “unsee” that!
I don't know whether I loved or hated this book. It was the next in the series and I knew it was coming but I felt it was either wonderful or awful. I loved Deicide. She gets better and better each book. I hated Alec however. Why would he bring her there? Did he really believe it would be better than with Pops? I was a major fan of Alec in the 3rd book but I felt a hatred towards him in this book. I also couldn't stand Lip. He was absurd, irrational, and just plain disgusting.
There are 2 scenes in this book that infuriated me. I was able to get through them but I'm siding with Deicide's feelings. They should not have happened however they did add a depth to the storyline that made way for further exploration.
I recommend this book but at the same time I don't. I could have done without half of what happened in this one. However they were pertinent to the storyline. To whoevever is reading this series good luck with this book.
Overall, torture scenes in this read I think are the most intense of the series. Deicide being thrown in a new environment offers interesting perspectives on how other members of the Cult operate. If you like well written extreme horror with brutal torture details, then you will be satisfied for sure (which is why I still have the read 3 stars). As a fan of extreme horror, what also scares me while reading is the setting. What is happening in the environment and how it influences the characters. I think I was one of the few who enjoyed being with Deicide growing up in the first two books. Being away from the house lost the uneasy setting for me living with the victims trapped inside and instead surrounded by cult members who volunteered to be there. That lost some scare factor for me. In short, still a solid book. Just not as scary as before, for me at least.

Sea Caummisar, you always surprise me! I genuinely love your end-of-story notes—your insights into character choices and twisted plot turns are such a treat 😊
So… Deicide is officially in the cult with her half-brother. And despite all the killing, eating the killing, and yes, the s*x—she’s BORED. Like… HOW?! 😳
⚠️ Trigger Warning: Heavy drug use
This cult is not what it seems. Deicide starts to realize just how dangerous things are. The leader? Totally strung out and riding a power trip. The cult? A front for selling m*th. And Deicide? Trapped, searching for a way out.
⚠️ SPOILER ALERT ⚠️ ⚠️ SPOILER ALERT ⚠️
She’s pregnant with the cult leader’s (Lip’s) baby… and he’s feeding his followers to her to nourish the child growing inside. This story does not hold back. 😱🩸
What’s wild is how normalized cannibalism is to her—but even she senses something is deeply wrong. Her warped sense of morality, shaped by a childhood without boundaries, makes this descent even more chilling.
Just when I thought this story couldn’t get darker… it did. The cult isn’t just consuming adults anymore—they’re eating newborns 😱. Like WHAT?! My jaw hit the floor again. The horror is relentless.
Thankfully, Deicide’s brother steps in and helps her escape—but not before she gives birth. And yes, she leaves her baby behind. That moment gutted me. She walks away from it all, only to end up back in her childhood home… the place where her trauma began. The cycle, the pain, the twisted sense of “normal”—it’s all so raw.
Dark, disturbing, and totally gripping. If you like your horror with a side of psychological chaos, this one’s for you.
I truly don’t know how I feel about this book. I found myself laughing and confused way more than I should have, but still enjoyed reading it.
This story took a turn that I honestly never could have imagined. I mean Decide just doesn’t have any luck in life. Forced to grow up raised by a killer being manipulated and abused, finally thinking you found freedom just to end up in a cult. 🤣🤣 It’s not funny haha but funny crazy ! I mean Sea truly impresses me with her thought process.
“All of this for me? I don’t know to be flattered, or disgusted? Is this what power feels like. It’s kinda hot. Never in my wildest dreams could I have thought this would be my life.”
The drugs made the most sense in this entire story because Decide has proven one to many times that she isn’t looking to be controlled, drugs are also an easy way to convince someone that the worlds craziest stuff makes sense.
Everyone in this book was nuts and I truly would love to know how they all ended up there, how the cult started cause I just can’t even imagine.
Another heartbreaking end, but I knew it was coming. I’m just really hoping Decides story gets better! I know I’m sympathizing with a killer, but it’s not all her fault 😭😭

This book was the hardest of all the books for me to digest. It was brutal and heart wrenching. There were tears shed and a few moments where I felt I would lose my lunch. I'm only giving this one 4 stars because it seemed too long and drawn out compared to the other books. I know it was just as short as the others, but it got repetitive in parts. That may have been the intention, showcasing what it was like to be D, trapped by Lip, but it got boring in some parts. I am excited to see what the next book brings to the table, I have come to realize there are no good people in this series. I thought there may be a point in time where we would see a redemption arc, but I'm no longer convinced that's coming. Characters learning right from wrong and making amends isn't why I picked up this series, though, so it won't deter me from reading if they stay their depraved selves!
I absolutely loved this book, it was such a great read, extreme and gruesome in the most awful way. But highlights that these things happen and the more aware we are, the more chance we have of stopping it. Anyway reading each book you feel like you have grown with the characters, so when things alter and the brutal insane blood thirsty events unfold, you feel a sense of hurt with each event. I don't want to give anything away but I have to say this was an amazing read and you will enjoy it if you enjoy the extreme horror. But there are some nasty parts in this so if your squeamish or easily offended by anything, then maybe this isn't for you. But personally I thought the storyline and characters are brilliant, and you only get this type of weird brutality from the mind of Miss Sea Caummisar. I definitely recommend but need the warning.
I actually can't understand why her inner thoughts are so genuinely irritating. I seriously feel like these books would go up in quality if Deicide had actually good inner monologue. It's insanely repetitive, childish but also very grown, doesn't give her character any more depth. She repeats herself SO MUCH. It drives me insane. Besides all of that.... This book was very middle of the road. To be fair, I don't really love cult stuff... Mostly when it's not well written. There's not enough depth in these characters or the book in general to pull off a cult story line. I honestly would've rather continued the storyline of her in the normal world. I also feel as if Deicides morals and mental stability goes all over the place. Not in a way that makes sense for the trauma she's gone though... Just in a way that screams poorly written. Still going to finish reading ....
Oh my god! I don’t even know what to say about this one. “Raised by a Killer #4” is somehow even darker than the last entries, and that’s really saying something. The twists are brutal, the characters are more messed up than ever, and the emotional damage? Off the charts.
I don’t think anything will ever be this hard to read. It’s intense—disturbing, raw, and honestly kind of exhausting. And yet… why oh why do I want to keep going????? There’s something strangely addictive about this series, even when it’s making you question your sanity.
This one wasn’t my favorite in the series, but it definitely keeps the drama dialed all the way up. Not for the faint of heart—but if you’ve made it this far, you probably already know that.
