Amanda Green came to Bridgeport, Texas to do a job only to find out that the job was the least of her worries. Among those worries was Mason Aldridge. There’s just something about a man with a beard and covered in tats. However, who cares if he’s sexy enough to melt her draws? The big, bearded barbarian was beyond infuriating and he was at the top of her rapidly growing hit list. He was proving to be the best and worst thing to happen to her in years.
Mason thought that claiming Amanda would help stave off the trouble coming her way. In fact, it did the exact opposite. Now, she’s lost in the woods on a mountainside alone. With time running out, she’s hoping and praying she can make it out alive.

Another fun, fantastic read filled with wonderful characters and hilarious situations. I love Shuler's books, and especially her Shop Series stories. They always have the best people and plots that keep me hooked from start to finish. This one also had me hankering for some amazingly delicious food.
There were so many intriguing aspects in the plot and plenty of excitement at the climax. This was an awesome read, and I can't wait for what comes next in this world.

Oh, man, do I love this story and these characters! Author Barb Shuler was definitely on her shifter A game with this one.
Amanda has the coolest job ever. Traveling the US to find the best BBQ around. Must be rough, right? She's made her way to a small town in Texas where she runs into more than she bargained for.
Mason is a grumbly, hot tempered alpha, with a bad attitude. Can someone say HOT? Check, please! He's instantly irritated yet extremely attracted to Amanda, which is a recipe for chaos, and chaos is what they get.
Danger, action, enemies, and love. This story has it all with an amazing and often times comical supporting cast. I can't wait to get my hands on the next story in this series. Bring it on!

From the first page I loved Amanda and then her first interaction wth the idiot her boss had sent to work with her?? She was magnificent!! Each comeback made me laugh out loud and then Mason got involved at the gas station and I knew sparks would fly!
When she unintentionally turns up at Barbecue Beasts, I knew this was a sign and that Amanda was hiding a secret...... but so it seems is Mason and his family!

I really enjoy this author's work. It always something new and nothing is ever recycled. Each character is unique and each story offers something to love. This book was no different. I liked the idea of the shifter running the BBQ place. Also, who wouldn't love to have a job that allows you to travel & eat amazing food... and get paid to do it. I loved this story and I look forward to seeing what comes next. Well done to the author.
