When Mexican-American, USA Today Bestselling author Aidèe Jaimes isn’t chasing after her energetic daughter and spending time with her happily ever after husband in their Florida home, she writes dangerously addictive dark romance filled with sexy criminals and the women that bring them to their knees!
I loved the first book, the plot twist was the ending that we needed. And I am happy to say that in the second book the characters remain faithful to their personally, both strong, loyal and devoted to their love. However I do think that she shouldn’t have had forgiven him so fast, because even though he had his reasons it doesn’t justify his actions. In the end, I was happy that they had their happy ending, they both deserve it.

I always love reading the MCs POV. I got a real feel for Santos here. Santos is the epitome of a villain. Sonia still wants him though and she's transparent about it. Sonia is the real deal. I love how it came together like a package. Then there's the chemistry. I'm going to need a cool down after that.
4.5 I really enjoyed this duet. It was different and the plot twist was so unexpected that my jaw dropped. Im giving it 4.5 though and not 5 because I felt like Sonia forgave Santos easily. The first time she sees him after she leaves his house, she sleeps with him with zero hesitation. That left a bad taste in my mouth.

This book was absolutely sensational with so much action, suspense, thriller, killings, kidnapping, enemies, violence, pain, fear, trauma, drugs, trafficking, twist and turns, passion, lust, confusion, betrayal, lies, protection, healing, trust, and love. Sonia was in love with Santos so when they planned to runaway her father found out, he organised that she will marry Diego. Santos he became involved with the Diablo's Cartel he set out revenge against Sonia's father for what he did to his family, he organised Padilla and his men and to help and find Sonia's father but she doesn’t know where her father is and Diego doesn’t know either. Santos stayed away from Sonia for a couple of years and never stopped loving her, he needed time thinking he was a bad person a monster and not good enough for Sonia. Santos had Sonia meet him at a hotel to know what her father is really like, when she arrived he had to have her and make love to her. The secrets that both keep from each other, but what she couldn't believe is the papers that she received, they ended up getting back to the reason why she went to see him was the information about her father she didn't believe him and ended them by saying goodbye and went back to Diego. This book was definitely a page turner I loved it.

This is second part to the Diablos Cartel series each book needs to be read in order to understand so to recap there will be suspense, betrayal, lies, more lies, secrets reveled, violence, arrogance, turmoil (emotional), annoyance, jealousy, rivalry/rivals, prejudices, deceit, threats, manipulating, distrust, confrontations, retribution, complications, deception, honor (family), trauma, hate, revenge/vengeance, hope, forgiveness, passion, and maybe just love. (All the great stuff a mafia story is made of…just saying) By the time you’ve figured out who is who and what is what, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter! Can’t say I didn’t warn you. This first book was about her waking up married to a man she doesn’t know and with no memory well Sonia loved Santos, but her father wasn’t a good man in fact he was downright evil for the most part so when he learned she loved Santos he immediately informed she would be marrying another, but her man isn’t letting her go like that. Santos started out with revenge well he still wants revenge on her father for his family. Sonia doesn’t believe when he tries to warn her or inform of her who her father really is but years later he has her in his life again how can he possibly let her go knowing they are the air that each other need but she believes her father to be a good man when in fact he isn’t and yet all he wants is her but she was married off to another which may still be an issue but when he tries to show her proof that her father isn’t a good man will it all go as planned or will she be taken, will she believe him or walk away again, will they every really have the strength needed to be honest with one another because they both have to have open minds, communication is key in this one and finely can they have the happiness of their own making?.

Told mostly from Santos POV, i specially love the first few chapter of Santos POV on his sly trick for Sonia. It allowed us to see how this diablo would do anything to have his queen including lie, steal, and kill. Obsesif dominant anti hero is absolutely my kinda villain!
And Sonia, love how she can be honest to her self. He lied to her, yes but she still love and wants him, Sonia was honest about that. She's not playing Coy or keep the hate games while enjoy f*ing him.
Their chemistry is explosive. The angry smegsi scene is hot!
Fast pace on the plot, I almost finish reading in one sitting. Unfortunetly though the real evil, died in rather easy way while I wish they got more pain and blodier than that. Yes I'm that sick and twisted 😂 but when you learned their crimes, you'll agree with me💃.

Devil's Own by Aidee Jaimes is the ending of a duet series Diablos Cartel, that began with Devil's Vow, and OMG what a great ending it is!! Santos and Sofia are an amazing couple with baggage galore, but who love each other so deeply, right or wrong and whether they want to or not!!! Being the head of a cartel, Santos wouldn't necessarily be considered a "good" man. But he is fiercely in love with Sofia and will do anything to have her .....and he has! This is another wonderfully steamy love story by this fantastic author. She has a talent to grab you at the beginning of a story and in no time you're running to find out what happens next!! ❤️❤️❤️
He's so bad for her.....but, he's so good for her!
Under all the nasty stuff, there is a true, deep abiding love. They keep coming back to it.
Santos does some bad, hard to forgive things - mostly out of love for Sonia. Sonia shows signs of strength, making hard decisions and still being sassy.
I thought Diego was a great side character and even better was Braulio!! I'm hoping from the epilogue, he is getting his own story?!?
"Sonia. There is no end for us. Ever. Where you go, I'll follow."
I really enjoy this author's work! Definitely recommend that you go read it now.

Thank goodness in Book 2 Santos did redeem himself because he was starting to frustrate me to no end. As the story progressed and all the pieces started to fall into place I was actually rooting for him in the end. The references to the past filled in all the blanks and I could understand why he did what he did. Even though Sonia wasn't on board after the turn of events in Book 1 she evenutally came round. She didn't give in too easily and she showed strength and character. I really loved this duet....a real page turner. The HEA was a must as I fell in love with both Santos and Sonia.

This is book 2 in Jaimes' Diablos Cartel series and should be read in series order as this is a duet and tells the story of Santos and Sonia where they will find their HEA - but it's not without it's share of excitement in this read - oh no! There is still plenty of action, twists n turns and lots of steamy chemistry to be found in the pages of this romance. Captivating and well written this book is sure to please!

Aidee James has written another great mafia revenge romance. Santos and Sonia were meant for each other. Her evil father had her married to another. All Santos wants his to protect her. He is trying to get her to see what her father is capable of but for whatever reason she believes he is good. There is plenty of danger, violence, romance, and passion. You will get hooked before you know it. I can't wait to see what comes next from this author.

A good ending to this duet with a few twists along the way. My main critism of these duets is that they in fact should really only be one book and it is only going over parts from the first book that the story is fluffed out enough to create the second installment and it does actually become a bit annoying when you are reading the same thing over again and again. It would appear that this author likes to spread her books over either duets or several parts which is a shame as the stories and characters are good but would be better as stand alones
What an epic conclusion to Sonia and Santos’ story! A story of true love, betrayal, deceit, hatred, violence and finally a happily ever after. Well, as happy as one can be with the Devil himself! Aidèe does a tremendous job with character development. Santos is a dirty talking possessive alpha who will do anything to have the woman he loves. Sonia is a strong woman who realizes fighting her own heart is a loosing battle. Together they are an unstoppable team.
Santos made us see the softer side of him with Santi in book 1of this duet. In this book you see how much of a ruthless villain Santos is as he protects Santi. Santos was able to redeem himself in the end. Sometimes you just need to learn to keep your enemies closer . Santi learns about some tough love when it comes to her family . In the end she will discover just who her family is .
Finally the HEA!💕 I loved the first book but have been waiting on this book to explain it all and it did! Awesome book that leads to HEA but looks like more book with characters that appeared in this book! Loved this book!.

I loved santos and Sonia in book one and couldn't wait to see how they managed to get back together and if her life would fall apart in the process. Finding out about her father wasn't something Sonia wanted to accept, but santos would do anything for his woman, but give her up. I love that the book kept the twists coming and kept me guess what would happen next.
Captivating! I was looking forward to the conclusion of Sonia and Santos' story and was not disappointed with Devi's Own. I loved it! Sonia and Santos' story is complicated, but their chemistry is dynamic. They are inseparable. The real deal. This story has angst and a twist, which I didn't see coming. It's a fantastic read with steamy, sexy scenes. Thumbs way up.
Santos will do anything for sonia, and he proves he can be the worst and best and always gets what he wants butbat what cost? Well written great story for the pair, steamy drama action and more!.

Shorter than I would like, this story was filled with enough drama and suspense that I could only wish it was longer. I enjoyed everything about this book except for the length. Enjoyable read.

How can you love such a dangerous man? This story shows you how. The raw passion and intimacy between these two blows your mind. He is the devil, but he worships Sonia, so is he really that evil. Great way to end this set. On to my next
This book gives you everything. Santos and Sonia's relationship, chemistry is beautiful. I recommend reading both books, you won't be disappointed. Thank you Aidèe for these two books. Was an absolute pleasure to read.
